  1. Beatfinder in Audacity sometimes works, but often not. Fiddling to create a click track to get the timing right sometimes works as well. All depends on the music. Barry, you are right, that sometimes some readjustment is needed. But sometimes at least, aligning to the beat is right on or close enough for a good start and later do some minor readjustment by eye and ear.
  2. I have used it occasionally.
  3. Thanks to both of you Lin and Dave. You have answered everything
  4. That helps a lot. I am traveling now, and don't have access to try this. That help really helps. Except for one thing, how do you mute the video? It may be obvious, but i dont have a way to look at the moment. Removing the audio would reduce file size, otherwise the audio is included twice in the final file. I guess? Does muting actually remove the data from the final file, either EXE or other video format?
  5. 1. I still like the old idea of being able to create curves, bezeir or just paths with points and move an object along that path. 2. There could be multiple paths, including circles and simply move any object along that path. 3. The ability to automatically keep an object upright as it moved along a curve would make things a whole lot easier as well.
  6. 1. Why remove it if you can silence it? To save file size? 2. I think it would be useful to be able to remove or silence sound in a video
  7. Thanks a lot Lin. I will play with this over the next few days. Well...around Christmas festivities Merry Christmas!
  8. Very cool. I tried to make a realistic campfire a while back and it turned out poor to mediocre. Can you share some tips? Maybe a project?
  9. Lovely! Thanks. Merry Christmas to you all!
  10. Make sure your computer is assigning the same driver letter as before.
  11. Very Nice! Thanks.
  12. That was worth the wait. How amazing! Thank you.
  13. I am very interested in your work. Can you post it on Mediafire or Dropbox or something?
  14. Thank you all very much. Now I just need drop hints around home for a Christmas present!
  15. Can anyone recommend some very small, lightweight speakers that are fairly good quality and will fill a small-medium sized room with sound? I want something I can travel with and use with my laptop. Thanks, JK
  16. I do wish that the there could be exactly even-spaced letters 360 degrees so we could fill in our own words. Doing it letter by letter is a LOT of work!
  17. This forum is simply great. Thanks to you all!
  18. Thanks to both of you for your work. I updated. jk
  19. That is incredible! Thank you.
  20. I travel a lot and use PTE on various computers: desktop, a home laptop, 2 laptops of various sizes and purposes for travel, another desktop I keep at my aging parents home in another country. I am the only one in my family that uses PTE or even knows what it is--so it's used one computer at a time. I am sometimes (though rarely) off the grid for up to weeks at a time. I am starting to imagine deactivation, reactivation, no internet, can't use PTE, with diminishing enthusiasm. Perhaps I have enjoyed the freedom to use PTE this way long enough that I don't like losing this capability. If we have a problem would there be a way to call for help? That would require internet and Skype as well which might not be available some places. I use Photoshop and occasionally have the hassle of deactivation / reactivation which never works automatically for me--I have to call. My situation is probably rare, so maybe it doesn't count. Realistically, with a little adjustment of my habits, this wouldn't be much of a problem for me. Edit: Statement Removed.
  21. Doesn't pretty much everyone have Skitch? Or should have? It is great for selective screenshots or if you want to do any quick markup or editing.
  22. I travel a lot and sometimes have no internet in faraway places. Yet I understand this won't affect me in any negative way. We all use the internet to purchase PTE. This surely isn't much different. We all benefit from reduced piracy.
  23. What a beautiful place! I love the rich dimensional quality and colors of your photos. The slide show is very nicely put together as well. I noticed a lot of fine, subtle details that took time, thought effort and just worked. Thanks!
  24. It looks like a cottonwood tree? Those are so pretty, but so messy and they get rotten in the middle and weigh a ton! Can you burn it for firewood?
