Thanks for your prompt reply. It would be nice if the focus was automatically set to the object newly pasted. It would save 1-2 extra mouse clicks and moving hands away from the keyboard. What you said makes sense and it works fine too. Thanks! jk

With deepest respect to all, I think I am the one perceived as "jumping." I am very sorry, Barry that you felt jumped on. I must think more carefully before I speak. Please forgive me. I did intend to offer what I hoped was simple recognition of a good job and constructive criticism to both of you--Gilio and BBdigital. I know commenting is s sensitive thing; and I am, honestly, a bit too sensitive sometimes too. Barry, I encourage you to speak up with helpful comments. You have a lot to offer. Please don't let my offensiveness hinder your good contributions. Maybe comments that include how and why would be useful when approaching negatives rather than..."I don't think your work is interesting." Personally I find negative criticism more than helpful than backslapping. My friends love my photography and AV, so I get all backslapping I need from them. Gilio, I personally thought the blend of Photography and Graphics and mirror images was well done and tasteful. It captures a lot of thought and feeling and reflects how I like to think about light and shadow, and spatial arrangements. You photography/graphics captured well how we think and see art as a function of nature.

In the OA window,when I copy and paste an object such as a Parent Object frame with Child Objects into a new slide which already contains a few objects, I often want to immediately use Keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl/Shft + PgUP/PgDn) to move the object to a new layer. Trouble is I cannot move the object unless I use the mouse to click on another object and then return to the object I want to move. It's a silly little thing, but I bump into it over and over. Changing that behavior would make me even happier! Thanks Igor and team for a wonderful product that I just love! JK

Wow! Thanks for sharing. I loved it. Very artsy, creative, original and it flowed well with the music. Don't worry too much about Barry. I love his shows. He is quite gifted with AV. They are excellent quality, but rather narrow in scope; and like the music he often uses, suitable, but a bit too predictable. I think you did something unique and challenging here. I hope others will try to top it. JK

This is distantly related solution to a hair-tearing problem I kept encountering: Lightroom color match problem with Photoshop CS4 Extended: Edit | Color settings | Conversion Options | Compensate for scene referred profiles Uncheck this setting Default may be "on" but gamma does not match Lightroom - this setting is for video matching in InDesign I think (??) this also affected my jpg output. Hope this helps someone.

It may be a silly suggestion, but I had a similar situation. I KNEW I had the latest drivers for my bamboo tablet, until I double checked. Installing (or perhaps reinstalling?) the latest driver solved my problem.

Someday it would be WONDERFUL to be able to use Asian Fonts We can create what we need in PS, but that is a painful, and time-consuming. The Asian market is HUGE! And the price for Asians if affordable.

Dare a female stick a finger in the fray? I thought my cmos sensor recorded in pixels, but it may be a conspiracy--in fact it records in plasmatic, spasmatic subnovae. At least it looks that messy when my PSS sensor is dusty. When I think pixels, I think of what is recorded as data by my camera, whether it is raw or scrumbled down (tech speak) as a jpeg. Somewhere buried in my digital photo data is some info that is intended to be sent to a device to be interpreted through means of tft/crt/projector bulb--whatever--that is a blob of color I think of as a pixel. Depending on the device and the sending apparatus, I may or may not be happy with the results. Correct me if I am dumber than a rugby goalpost, and if its its worthwhile, but thanks for allowing me to clarify my vantage point on the rugby field. NOW...Brian, don't you dare stop now! I want to know your advice how to make an image BIGGER...with the best results. Please? jk PS. If a pixel does not think, does it not exist?

All the rest I liked. Life is busy. I download shows, and sometimes don't get to see them for weeks. By then I may not even know who produced it. Still I could do better. 2. Some have shows value as a family/travel/fun documentary, others as art, and still others are just creative. Each has value, but different values. The PSP forum does a good job of just letting people produce without a lot of fear or anxiety about what people will think. We can learn from them and do that here. Let's try to warm the whole thing up and not ever let it get stuffy or exclusive. (This is not an accusation, but a warning i am making to me--out loud). 3. I am not a pro but post and comment happily. I encourage others to do the same. 4. If there was more feedback, I would probably publish more shows. Maybe 1 in 20 ever makes it here for a variety of reasons. I admit every comment I have ever received is very important to me. jk

Situations differ, so I think a configurable autosave would be a good idea. Presently I just develop the habit of hitting Ctr+S every little bit. Still there are a few times when something crashed and I just had to cry a little while. jk

Are we overreacting like a bunch of old church ladies to the color of carpet on the floor? If this is not a recurring problem, maybe a warning will let people know 1) not to respond 2) that forum moderators know about the problem and want to prevent it. Maybe that's enough for now? I just don't want to discourage newcomers, until all that is left on the forum is a bunch of us self-serving stuffy old church ladies. Does anyone take seriously programs like The Gimp (free) or Photo Impact? )price for the new Corel version?? They allow the advantages of Layers and a lot of frills such as endless filters and actions. I actually use PI over PS on occasions. PS is better and faster, but sometimes cumbersome and simply isn't as easy to explore creatively as PI. jk

I second the motion. Did I dream it or is one of the soon-to-be-releases going to be primarily time-line based--which may solve the problem? jk

I love it!! What a wonderful place not only for a bunch of guys..but for a family and children to go sit on a blanket in the sunshine, swat mosquitoes and eat cheese and crackers. Maybe we should think about categories of slide shows. You know? There are the... 1. Lovely artistic shows. 2. Creative shows / animations / etc. 3. Shows that tell a story from real life (Like this one) --and let us peak into another person's world in a realistic way 4. Teaching shows 5. Nature Shows 6. Weddings /special events etc. Perhaps we could do even better at encouraging people at all levels to openly share what they do. Anyway, Thank you Mr. Lux...I LOVE this slide show I can smell the damp good earth, hear a stream trickling among the willows and feel the ice cold snow water trickling down my throat. I imagine rolling in a thistle patch and nibbling wild onions. I imagine sipping pennyroyal tea while singing songs around a campfire.... Fish are jumping somewhere while a doe with 2 fawns wades into the water. A marmot with big buck teeth chirps earnestly at us oblivious to the eagle souring overhead in the sun. Rubbing the soggy bruises on my back side from sliding down icy snow slopes and tangling with a bush uprooted by an avalanche. . ...sigh... Thanks again for sharing. jk

You can use a text editor and... 1. copy/paste/adjust Slide#'s. 2. Set opt_slidescount= to the highest number slide. This assumes you can figure out the .pte file. It even easy for me so you can do it! There are some REALLY SMART Programmers on this forum. I wonder how long it will be till someone just makes a little merge program that will do that? jk

Ken: The Valentine show is really only 7 images duplicated 8 times (total 56 images) to fit a midi file in length. Every 3-5 slides I added some random effects to keep it from being overwhelmingly boring. It had to fit the midi length and I wanted it to be under 1 mb for Email. More time and more imagination always help...but I already invested several hours making those Valentines and effects! Xaver: For the Kiosk--yes your method would work is many cases. Sometimes I want the music to be synchronized--for example it would have been nice to better match the music rhythm with a spinning/beating Valentine heart. This question may be related.... I sometimes make a show run repeatedly as a kiosk. Is there a way to add a sound track, such as a short loop, so that the show can run continuously without having to restart the soundtrack with the first image? Presently I have to tinker with the sound to make it exactly fit the length of pictures. jk

I suspect there was more than one v5.1, however if you reinstall the latest v5.1 download that should fix it. Also note that if you happen to install 4.48 or 4.49 over the top of v5.1, the program defaults to the most recent installation. Just reinstall 5.1 again. jk
