  1. Ken, the 8 EXE's that I have created, are all laid out on my desktop, and VB does not recognize them. I can open VB, and the explorer pane doesen't see them. All the other photos, shortcuts, etc are there, but no slideshows. This doesen't make good sense, VB should recognize the shows created with it's host program. I think I'll give up, and take a nap. Thanks for your help, Gayland.
  2. Hi Ken, yes I tried draging, I get an "X" as I drag. Thanks for your response, Gayland.
  3. I have eight small PTE EXE slideshows, that I want to burn to DVD for TV. I open VB and try to import my shows. These shows are all in one folder named PTE shows, when I click on this folder, in the explorer, the folder goes to VB, I then click on this folder, and it jumps back into explorer. The next thing I tried, was to remove the shows from the folder, and place them on the desktop, and try to import from there, the explorer doesen't even see them. I must say, I can drill down in the folders, where I have all the edited and resized photos, music etc, and bring the EXE into VB, and then burn it. I have everything on an 8 gig flashdrive, so I can switch between my PC and my notebook, I moved a copy of my shows to the desktop, thinking this might solve the problem, to no avail. Then I moved the shows out of the folder, and placed them on the desktop, no difference. I can build and create an EXE slideshow in PTE and immediately open VB and burn this to DVD, why can't I burn shows already created as EXE? I am a registered user of PTE Deluxe, using 5.6 beta 20. I have Lin's CD of tutorials, and have checked the online tutorials as well. 4. Igor, have a fantastic and well deserved holiday. Best regards, Gayland
  5. Hi Barry, the term snowbird, used here in Texas, refers to someone that lives in a cold climate ie, Michigan, and spends the winter in our warm South Texas area. (usually in RV's,and there are thousands of them) They migrate back home, when the weather warms up. I hope your new life goes well, Gayland.
  6. Hi Yachtsman, does the mask need to be a PNG made in photoshop or other editor? This fantastic little program is getting way beyond my comprehention. Someone help us, less talented, to grasp this mask stuff. Best regards, Gayland
  7. Gerard, build your show the way you want it, go to file > templates > create template from this show. The next time you want a show with these parameters, open your template, and substitute the old photos with your new photos. If this is not totally correct someone will follow up, I'm sure. Best regards, Gayland
  8. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, PTE friends. Peace on Earth, Gayland
  9. Great show Ian.....!!! Thanks for sharing, and merry Christmas, Gayland
  10. Hi Lin, great show! I was born in 1940, and have owned several models in the show.(although not as pristine) Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Best regards, Gayland

  13. Hi PTE friends, I have been hesitant to post my simple little shows, for the last 3 years. But, I think there is a need for the new users (and ones thinking about it) to see that it is not necessary to know about cale, anchors, masks, PNG, and mathamatical equations, (which I don't) to make a decent little show. One that their family would enjoy seeing. Please take a look at my humble attempt. Best wishes, Gayland http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=9983e83...059209db0f572d9
  14. Hi everyone, I have apoligized, for my actions, and that's all I can do. My personal opinions, will not be posted again. If I knew how, I would remove the offending posts, so we could get on with more pleasent subjets. May I blame my lack of good manners on our hurricane? The end, Gayland
  15. Wideangle, Valued or not I can have my say. I don't pretend to be anything but an average guy without PTE or photographic skills, I just take snapshots and make little simple shows. I cannot enter competition, and would not know how, or where, if I were. What I do know is that some, on this forum, take little jabs at those of us less talented, therefore, I would never even think about submitting a slideshow to be judged. I apologize to the forum members that feel offended. Best regards, Gayland.
  16. Hi Lin, I totally agree with what you are saying, that's why I am trying Linux Ubuntu 8.04 on one of my 3 computers. The guy that keeps trashing you, thinks he's so cute, and knows everything about everything. I think the reason he's on this forum is to sell his crap, and what business is it of his how someone obtains their software? He mentions this quite often, while telling everyone how important he is. I know PTE doesen't run on Linux, but there is no single program, that I can't live without, since I'm retired and don't have to try and sell anything. Best wishes, Gayland

  18. Gerard, fantastic shows.....!!! These are not the photos of an amateur, which, my dictionary says, is a person with limited skills. My friend your skills are not limited! Thanks for sharing,Gayland.
  19. Dave, what a fantastic show....!!! What a fantastic plane....!!! What fantastic farms...!!! You certainly have this PTE stuff down pat. Thanks for sharing, Gayland.
  20. Hi Gilbert, there is a program that lets one click on the frames of a running PTE show, and captures and saves each in a folder. I think it came from the guy in Thailand. This is a fantastic program, but I suspect the pros, in this group convinced him to take it down. Regards, robertg
  21. Hi Lin, thanks for your reply. I think the demo was very recent, and for a lady that was very new to PTE. Please disregard if it's too much trouble, I know your time is money. Thanks again, Gayland (robertg)
  22. Hi Lin, you recently posted a demo, for a person, on the forum, on O&A use. I didn't download it at the time, and now cannot locate it. Would you point me to it? Thanks for all you do for the forum, Gayland.
  23. Wonderfull show, beautiful country. Thanks for sharing, Gayland.
