  1. Try: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/pte449.zip! Regards, Xaver
  2. Use a wireless mouse with laser pointer and presentation function! Regards, Xaver
  3. Registration leads to entries in the registry, and it does not matter where the text files with the keys are located. Regarding the installation problem, I would recommend to make a support request at wnsoft.com. Regards, Xaver Munich
  4. John, In my eyes this cannot be seen independently. If you fill the main window (or the O&A window) with lots of audio tracks, you must provide a place for the player's screen. I think that the additional window is a "must". Best regards, Xaver
  5. Hi Eric, I have asked for precisely the same feature (as described above) during the last year for several times. It isn't that funny to repeat the same suggestion again and again. So let me refer to some of my previous posts: (Oct 24 2008, 02:01 PM) I think that the given methods of adding music to slides should be canceled. It would be better to have several parallel audio tracks (with volume control - envelope function as in Audacity) on each of which you can place several audio clips. (Jul 7 2008, 10:10 PM) I think its not the question of having a fully featured audio editor, but its would be helpful to have several audio tracks on which you can shift audio sequences, and with a non-destructive envelope function for the volume. Best regards, Xaver
  6. A similar feature should also be offered for the O&A window. Under the hypothesis that this window (sooner or later) will also show several audio tracks and (optionally) a separate timeline for each single object (providing a simultaneous view of all keypoints), it would would be best to have the screen of the O&A section in a separate window. Best regards, Xaver Munich
  7. Hi Ed, Even in full screen mode you can use Alt+Tab to switch to other applications. When you do this during a running PTE show (and if "pause slide show when window becomes inactive" has been selected), the show will stop while the chosen other application window is active. Best regards, Xaver
  8. Ed, Did you try to run your sequence as an MP4/H.264 video (1400x1050, 30 fps, bitrate 6000)? Best regards, Xaver
  9. pwear, m.objects is a good product, but it has its price. Furthermore, the manufacturer, and several other (semi-)professionals offer courses which are not cheap either. This is part of the business. There is a German m.objects forum which is run my the manufacturer. Maybe you will find some help there. Hopefully there will be forum members with appropriate knowledge in English. My knowledge in m.objects is rather rudimentary, and I consider this product as too expensive. Even from the functionality point of view I do not see an advantage in using it. Xaver H. Munich
  10. I typically used the digital input of the SX-50, when I tested it last year. There was not much difference between the analogue and the digital way (if there was any). The tearing effects showed in both cases. Regards, Xaver
  11. Just a remark: This statement has been taken from a post of admin1 from Jan. 18, this year, see here. Regards Xaver
  12. Hi, Tonight I ran one of my test sequences on a Canon SX60, a sequence of 8 short zooms, followed by a 360 degree panorama running 45 seconds. I ran the sequence several times without any flaw. I created the sequence several months ago, in order to test the Canon SX50, which showed sporadic effects on the zooms, and in all cases effects about any 12 seconds during the panorama. The effect was tearing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_tearing), which Ed seems to call a wipe effect. As a final remark, let me say that I used for both projectors the same PC with an Nvidia 8500GT. Best regards Xaver Munich
  13. Hello, Just a remark from my side. When I build a sequence of 3 or 4 slides, each of which is to start an external application (via "Customize Slide"), not all of the applications (like swriter, irfanview, audiograbber etc.) do start, and those which start do not appear in the correct order. Best regards, Xaver Munich
  14. Hi Yachtsman1, If you have a layered image in PS and export (save) a copy in JPEG, the copy will automatically be flattened. So, the layered structure of the original will not have any influence on the copy's file size. Best regards, Xaver
  15. endevil, Did you tick "Synchronize music and slides" in the Project Options? Best regards, Xaver Munich
  16. Hi, what do you think about the method used by Aquasoft (German slideshow software): There doesn't exist a registration key. The users obtain a customer account and can only download the software via this account. In this case, a separate tryout version had to be provided. Regards, Xaver
  17. Hi Dave, I purchased PTE in the second half of 2007, and I received the key (as Peter describes in his FAQ) as part (bottom lines) of the registration e-mail from WnSoft, looking like: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PTE] "Key"="......." The mail referred to an attachment and explained how to load the key, but the attachment was not included. So, I generated it myself, copying the bottom lines of the e-mail into a text file. Best regards, Xaver
  18. Hi Dave, See here! You can do it as Peter explains, or generate a file reg.txt from the registration e-mail, and perform the registration via the program's help menu. Best regards, Xaver
  19. Tammy, Under Windows XP you should find the key in the Windows Registry under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PTE". You may try to export it on the old machine, and to import it on the new one. For installation of the software on the new computer use an installation file to be downloaded from WnSoft's website. Best regards, Xaver Munich
  20. Hallo Nordlicht, Ich habe Dir eine PM geschickt. Gruß Xaver
  21. Argonaut, The small size/position window only shows sizes and positions at timeline positions, where the highlighted image has a keyframe. Regards, Xaver Munich
  22. Hi, I think that this discussion shows again that the present audio concept in PTE is by no means optimum. Let me therefore refer to my earlier suggeation of having several independent audio tracks, see here and here. Best regards, Xaver Munich
  23. Hello Daniel, Your observation also holds for version 5.5. On the other hand, I don't think that this way of adding music/sound to your show is a good one. I would recommend to use only the synchronized audio track via project options. Use Audacity as "audio-plug-in" for editing/mixing your sound (in wav format) and for exporting it in mp3 format in order to use it inside your show. See also the corresponding FAQs by Peter (fh1805). Best regards, Xaver Munich
  24. In my view, "auto-save" must not necessarily mean that the action of saving the project files avoids any kind of versioning. In the context of by proposal from above (keeping several project files in the system, using round-robin replacement) auto-save has to be interpreted in a more general sense. Otherwise this proposal would be nothing else but useless! Regards, Xaver
  25. Peter, I would like to keep it simple: Leave PTE as it is, just add a circular buffer (maybe of configurable size and timing options) for auto-saved project files. This would be a feature which normally would not be noticed by the user. Only in cases of accidents he/she could make use of it. Best regards, Xaver
