  1. turn off Auto Save in Settings/Preferences/Project & then all changes are only saved when you save them manually. Jill
  2. put the play head at the point you want to split. Right click the audio & select Split. I agree that it would be quicker if we had a short cut key Jill
  3. It's not something I have ever done, I have only copied folders & files to another computer and that usually gives me the missing files message as the drive letter is usually different. Jill
  4. try renaming the original Folder to something else temporarily & see if you then get the 'Missing File' Jill
  5. did you get 'missing File' message for the images? If so simply locate the first one missing & it should automatically find all the rest if they are in the same folder. Jill
  6. Hi Claude, avi is an uncompressed file, so will be much larger. The quality of MP4 with the latest version of PTE is the same as an exe and can be played on all devices Windows, Mac or Phone. See Publish/HD and 4K video - leave everything at the default settings. When you exclude video from exe the file size of the exe should be much smaller especially if all your show is video. The videos will still be placed in the same Folder as the exe and you will need to send all files for someone else to play. Jill
  7. If you are using video then make an MP4 not an exe The size will be much smaller Jill
  8. there is no actual limit in PTE, but it depends how powerful your computer is. Keep your images to a small size if possible to help. Jill
  9. no need for a long duration, just set the Menu Slide(s) to be 'Wait for Key Press to show next Slide' It will stay on screen until you press the keyboard right arrow key or hit Esc to exit it. Jill
  10. Gary, if all of your trimmed clips are coming from 1 original, you will not see each clip in the file list. The Trim is done within PTE and not saved. By renaming each Slide, they will have different names withing the Slide View & Timeline View. As I said above, you do not need to drag the end of the Slide, just drag & drop from Filelist to the point you want the next clip to start. If you have a 1.5 hour original clip and you add it multiple times to the Timeline, it will still only be the size of the original file. You then Publish to MP4 and the final output will be much smaller. I think you are making things difficult for yourself by trying to trim & save multiple times. Jill
  11. No need to scroll to the end, just drop the next slide at the point you want, the end is automatically trimmed. If you are trimming the same original video several times then just drag & drop it again. Simply change the Slide Name in Slide Options & the new name will show on that Clip in both Slide & Timeline view. PTE is not a video editing program, but I still find it quick & easy to edit clips in Timeline. Jill
  12. Gary, then why not do a rough trim first to make the video much smaller, then it will be easier to get an accurate trim. I very rarely use the Trim Function anyway and much prefer to work directly in the timeline. With longer clips (but no where near as long as yours) I right click and select 'Trim Beginning of video' to get a rough point, then fine tune it once the video is shorter. When you Trim in Timeline it automatically positions the pointers in O&A 'Adjust Video' function & also sets the start time. You can adjust the time to get exactly the position you want. Jill
  13. just drag the start & end triangles to the position you want. I never look at the Times. Jill
  14. It is when the overlapping file is a shorter duration So your file 09 finishes before the file on track 1. I have just tried it & it does seem to reduce the volume on the overlapping file. Jill
  15. The red shows that the files are overlapping each other. Not sure why the volume would be lower though. Jill
  16. Yes and also the fade IN/Out handles on the Timeline are only in Pro. The Studio Version you can use the Fade IN/Out times in Project Options Audio Tab Jill
  17. No, just select a slide that you want the preview to start from and right click in the mini preview window. Jill
  18. No it is not possible. Everything is on one screen. Jill
  19. what file size are your videos? If they are very large it could affect the smoothness Jill
  20. Is it OK if you use Preview? I have never noticed any difference playing from Slides or Timeline. Jill
  21. It is so easy to move an Object to the desired position with V11 that I cannot see a need for Duplicate. Just Copy & Paste & drag to where you want it. Jill

Have a good holiday Igor. Take time to relax and enjoy.
  24. I suppose it depends how you work, I have never found it a problem. But then as I said above I have very few tracks & the sound is mostly continuous on a track with overlaps. If I do have gaps between clips then the next clip is always linked to a Slide so won't move if a clip is added or moved. But I do agree that to be able to move a clip to another track directly in the Timeline would be good. I thought that holding down Shift while dragging was supposed to keep the same time position but I have never managed to get it to work. Jill
  25. you can easily do it in the Audio Tab . Link the Clip to a Slide, then double click the clip to open up Audio tab. Click the clip & drag it to a different track, then unlink from the slide. If there are already clips on that track then make sure you position it after the appropriate clip. I do this often when I am extracting audio from video and I want to keep them all on one track. Jill PS Gary you have a lot of tracks with not much on them, the clips could easily be moved onto the same track. I have very rarely found I need more than 4 or 5 tracks. 1 for voice, 1 for sound effects, 1 or maybe 2 for music, and then 1 if I have extracted audio from video clips. And I have some complex audio mixes
