Thanks Denis & Igor. Adding the black rectangle does work. I am only playing at the moment & not quite sure what transition I want. I may end up using the Circle Waves Mask as I have more control over the timing, than when using the transition. Jill

When I use a Circle Waves Transition to a Blank Slide, you can see the waves moving, but the image does not change. It then quickly changes to the Blank at the end of the Slide. The same thing happens in PTE11 so not sure if this is meant to happen or it is a bug that has not yet been picked up When the Transition is between 2 images it appears correct & you can see the new image fading in. I am only just starting to play with PTE12 & thought I would try it out on a new project. Jill PS it works ok going from a blank to an image

Get it right for the first slide, then copy and paste onto all the other slides. You can do this in one go by using a quick slide style. Then you just have to change the text for each slide. Jill

Could this then be placed inside another Mask? It is a long time since I have used Blend modes, I do all of my photo editing inside PTE & have not used Photoshop for several years. But it would be good to have them within PTE. As long as we can still use Masks within Masks then I think either option will work ok. Jill

Hi Igor, Either option would work for me. With A. will you still have a Mask shape? Circle/Square etc? Or would it just be an image acting as the Stencil? I use Masks a lot to merge images or with the same image to remove unwanted parts. To have Blend Modes would be really useful Jill I think that usually I would only want to Blend a part of an image, so would be using Masks anyway

The MP4 just contains the trimmed part. If you make an exe then it will contain the whole video but only show the trimmed part. Jill

Hi Andrew, You need to post this under Troubleshooting, not the Forums & website Section. I think you should be able to move it. It sounds like your files are very large, you don't need 300dpi - 72 dpi is fine. You say the stutter seems to occur as they accelerate, so are you using an Accelerate Modifier on the Pan? Can't remember are you Windows or Mac? Also is the stutter in O&A, Mini Preview or Fullscreen Preview? Also try to Publish these Slides & see if it still happens. Hope this is of some help. Are you sure that you have added the image as a separate Object & it is not a Child of an existing Object. Before you add the new image make sure you Click off any other Objects. Click in a blank Space in the Object Panel bottom right of the O&A window. Your new image should then appear at the top of the stack & you should be able to see it. Even after using PTE for more than 20 years it is a mistake I still occasionally make when working in a rush Jill

very easy to do. Simply link those audio files to the slides you don't want. Then in Slide View delete the Slides, the audio files will be deleted along with the Slides. I would first move the audio clip on Track 2 to the right to roughly where you want it under Slide 6 Or you could delete those audio files from Track 1 first & then delete the 5 Slides. Again reposition Track 2 first Jill

You can use Colour Correction Filters to adjust each image individually - Levels/Saturation/Hue etc Also if you set the background slide to have Nested Colour Filters, then if the PNG's are Children you can adjust all 3 images at once. Jill

have you updated Photoshop? You may need to re-establish the Link to the new version. Jill

You also need to Untick Sync Music with Slides otherwise the music will stop at the end of each Slide. Jill

I assume this is because you are using Full Slide Duration. This takes the Time of Slide 1 + the Transition Duration of Slide 2. I always turn this Off as it can get very confusing, especially if you move a Slide's position or change a duration. I never use Slide Styles so can't answer this, sorry. I always do everything manually using O&A If the same thing happens on every Slide it can become very repetitive & boring to watch. If you select multiple Slides & change the Transition type it will also Change the Transition Timing to be the same on all. You will have to change each one individually. Dissolve is the default Transition unless you have changed it. Hope this helps. PTE is a great program & is very powerful. |I hope you continue to enjoy using it. Jill

Mike, When I installed OBS on my Win 10 laptop it set itself up without any problems. You need to set it to have Record as the primary function & choose a Folder for the recordings to go into. Then it just a case of setting it off recording & starting the PTE exe. Jill

It does sound like hardware. When you upgraded your ram did you leave the old ram in place & just add extra or is it all new? And is it evenly spaced throughout the ram slots? If you have some old then is the new compatible with it. Your image sizes are small so they shouldn't be a problem. Jill

Sounds like it could be a memory problem. Are you running any other programs at the same time as PTE? I assume you mean you have 32 GB of ram? Which should be plenty. But it could be that another program is taking it up. Also how big are your images? Jill

check which Colour Space you are working in. sRGB is the recommended one to use, but you can change it depending on your monitor setup. See Settings/Preferences/System jpg format is normally the best to use if you are going to convert your images Jill

What type of Transitions are you using? If you just use a Dissolve, Page or Shape Transition then it shouldn't have any effect on the Text. I often carry my Title across 2 Slides but I always use the Transitions mentioned above. I find all of the others are too gimmicky & distract from the images & story. It depends what you are trying to achieve? Jill

Easy, just copy & Paste the Text in O&A onto all the Slides you need. Jill

Hi Enid, I have just updated to 11.0.18 now & the magnifying glass is still there. Nothing has changed, so not sure why you are having problems. Try uninstalling & re-install again. Are you Windows or Mac? Jill
