  1. The zoom value refers to the height of the text box, not to the seize of the font. Start by writing each text in a single line; then adjust the zoom, and only then use mouse and return key to create the texts with more than one line. If line spacing is set to zero, a 2-line text should have double zoom.
  2. In many cases I have not been that happy with Ken's remarks. Auto save is quite a dangerous feature. Sometimes you make changes on a project, and some time later you regret having done them; but Auto save has already overwritten the original version. I normally work with some kind of simple version management, just by saving the project again and again, always using new names (MyProject_01, MyProject_02 ...).
  3. Sorry, but I did not refer to Open Office, but to Audacity. In Audacity, the history can easily be interpreted, and its much easier to go back several steps at the same time. BTW: I would regard OpenOffice as outdated. It cannot compare to LibreOffice.
  4. PTE offers us the buttons "Undo" and "Redo". Hence, PTE maintains some kind of history. It would be fine if the future version would give us a history list (as we know it from Audacity). The process of undoing would be much more comfortable.
  5. Thanks, it really works, but in complicated situations, a lot of additional work is to be done. An example is shown here.
  6. I have modified my style, and using Igor's remarks on data exchange, I could also transform it into a transition. Unrolling_image_with_blur_2.ptestyle Unrolling.pteeff
  7. It would be fine if it were possible to exchange data between the editors for transitions and O&A. Example 1: I have a slide with 2 main images, and I would like to copy the objects of this slide from the O&A Editor into the Transition Editor, and there I would like to replace the 2 main images by "Slide1" and "Slide2". Example 2: I have a custom transition, and I would like to copy the objects of this transition from the Transition Editor into the O&A Editor of some slide, and I would like to replace Slide1 and Silde2 by some (main) images.
  8. Trimming a video using the converter does not really provide a copy, as the result will be re-encoded. You can avoid re-encoding by trimming using the free software "LosslessCut".
  9. As I said, it is a clever idea. On the other hand, the object "Mask (Circle)" is an internal object of a mask construction. At present time, it nicely works outside (as an image object). If this will work in future versions, I don't know; perhaps Igor will know it No problem with your English, I am not a native speaker either.
  10. My recommendation: First, have a look Javier's video, and also at https://docs.pteavstudio.com/en-us/10.0/how_to_v9/mask If there are further questions, don't hesitate to ask In your case (when you see the transparent circle), in order to obtain a white (or colored) circle: Highlight "Mask Content" and insert a rectangle (top row, symbol to the right of "T"); choose Fill mode and Color(s).
  11. ??? Please provide an English text!
  12. Your construction of an image with an oval border is a bit simpler than mine. You avoid the second mask container by using a copy of the standard mask (circle) as an image object. It actually works, and its clever, but on the other hand, it is an undocumented use of this kind of mask, and you cannot be sure that it will work in future versions of PTE. Good luck
  13. I don't see a straightforward method to create oval borders in PTE. You may try the method used in the attached project. Oval_Border.pte
  14. Did you ever try Affinity Photo, not that expensive, and not that bad?
  15. AFAIK this is a feature of version 4 and perhaps of earlier versions. I have been using PTE since version 5, and I have never noticed the fade to desktop.
  16. I would like to see two kinds of blur: Blur 1 (as we have it today) which makes the image border blurry and partially transparent, and Blur 2 which blurs the image like Photoshop while keeping a sharp border (and which would work together with PTE's border function) Of course, the vignette in case of images that (largely) cover the screen should be avoided.
  17. I hope that I got it correctly: You have a (synchronized) sequence of slides, and then you delete 1 or 2 slides. Now you want to have a function that extends the new sequence to the original duration while all slide durations, animations, transition times etc. keep the proportions. Sorry, but in most cases I would not regard this procedure as a good one. Typically you synchronize your transition points according to the music. A natural way is to place them at beat 1 in the corresponding bar. This order would be destroyed when you would apply the function that you want to see (and which you regard as a "missing" one). The transition points would be shifted to (more or less) random positions relative to the music. At least people with an education in music or dancing would not like it that much. On the other hand. I really would like to see the feature of stretching or compressing a sequence of slides (while keeping proportions), but only if the soundtrack could stretched or compressed at the same time. This would keep the transition points at the correct positions, and we could modify the overall duration of a given sequence without loosing synchronization.
  18. I also noticed that the Forum Search does not work well. I often get 0 results, even though l know that some results must exist.
  19. In this case he should head for Bavaria
  20. Which version of PTE is on your backup computer?
  21. Please note that this is an English forum. I myself would prefer to write in German. Nevertheless I follow the rules and do it in English
  22. You may set the opacity of the given first key frame to 0, and move this key frame to the right (to the position of your second key frame). Use another key frame to set opacity to 100.
  23. I think that there are 2 locations: For built-in styles in PTE's program folder; for use created styles: Folder defined in "Preferences > Templates"
