Dave, Thanks for your patience! We're trying to find the solution. Please can you perform one more check: 1. Add this video clip, add a border in O&A. 2. You see the error message. OK. 3. Close the O&A editor and SAVE the project. Close PicturesToExe. 4. Restart PicturesToExe. 5. Open saved project and open O&A editor. Do you see any error message? 7. Try to resize video clip in the editor (zoom value). Do you see any problem here?

Please can you reproduce this problem with a new project - just several images and WAV file(a)? If yes, please send me these files in ZIP archive. To upload ZIP file you can use Dropbox, or Mediafire.com free services. I'll try to see this problem and fix it. Thanks in advance!

Colin, On my 5 year old PC (Intel Core 2 Duo) compilation of DVD takes around 1 minute for 1 minute of project. In other words, I wait 20 minutes to encode 20 minute show. Additionally I wait 2 minutes to burn DVD disc. Of course, If I encode FullHD video (output) I have to wait more time.

Dave, wilburke, Please try new test version: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/27544810/pte/picturestoexe-setup-2013-02-13.exe Does it solve this problem?

I'm glad to introduce German User Guide for PicturesToExe Deluxe 7.5. http://www.wnsoft.com/files/picturestoexe/user-guides/7.5/PicturesToExe_Handbuch_v75_DE.pdf It's a completely new book, 320 pages with illustrations. Thanks to our friend from Germany - Heinz Gebhardt!

Thanks, Umberto!

Steven, "Progressive" mode gives better sharpness, but less smooth animation. Only 25/30 frames per secound. "Interlaced" mode gives best smoothness - 50/60 frames per second. Modern TV extract same picture details as with Progressive mode for static scenes and reduced in 2 times sharpness for dynamic scenes. In "Auto" mode PicturesToExe will set internally "Progressive" mode for shows without any animation in O&A editor and with Dissolving/Quick transition effects. For other shows PicturesToExe will choose "Interlaced mode". If you know that your project has slow animation, I recommend to set manually "Progressive" mode for best total quality. "Anti-flicker filter" is a delicate smart blur applied along vertical axis of a picture. (Traditional blur is being applied in both directions - by horizontally and vertically). "Anti-flicker filter" is necessary for old CTR TVs and probably for some new flat TVs.

Dave, wilburke, Please try a test version: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/27544810/pte/pte_755log.zip Download and unpack this ZIP archive into a new folder and run PicturesToExe.exe file from /Main folder. When you reproduce the problem with float point operation, please close the program and send me PicturesToExe.log file from /Main folder.

We're trying to reproduce this problem on our PCs now. Can we send you a test version with log file which may help us to find a reason of the problem?

Space key was used for a fullscreen preview of a slide for 8 years. So I didn't change this hotkey. But I agree it's strange that we have two different behaviour of Space key in the Slide view and in the Timeline view. I'll think how to solve it in future version.

Thanks for your feedback!

Jan, I created a new test show with same approach as in your demo: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/27544810/shows/3d_landscapes.zip

Jan, Thanks for sharing these examples! I especially like 3D_demo_2011.zip You also excellently demonstrated how it work.

Problem when manually advancing a paused playback [SOLVED]

Peter, Please try the updated version: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/27544810/pte/picturestoexe-setup-2013-02-05.exe Does it solve that problem? -
Question to professionals. Given: The Objects and animation editor. There is a selected object with only one key frame. In all versions you can change the object (Pan/Zoom, etc) only when key frame is selected in the timeline. If you change a time position of blue triangle cursor in the timeline, the key frame becomes inactive and you are not able to adjust Pan/Zoom/Rotate parameters. Should we make an exception for such objects with one key frame and allow editing of key frame even if a cursor is not set to key frame or key frame is inactive (greyed)? If it possible, please reply in a few words.

Thanks, Peter! -
Thank you, Mark! I'm grateful you.

Please let wait for the sample project (or better two EXE files in both versions). I admit that a project with complex slide animation, masks can show different performance in another version. Please do not be so serious!
-
Dave, I included source project file with images. You can explore how it works. I used two image objects with same JPEG image and adjusted canvas size. Then I applied different 3D transformations. Both parts don't overlap. Better to see in live in O&A editor. Eric, Not a new feature of PicturesToExe. Just a new idea. You can do it even in 6.0.
-
Lin, Probably it's better to achieve this effect using two images - normal and blurred in a graphocal editor and use a mask container?
-
I thought of this idea when I was in a train yesterday and today. An experiment to try to make realistic panning. This is rough demo just to show the idea: I used 3D transformation of two parts of picture between a line of horizon. If you have long panoramic images you can avoid these black strips on left and right sides. Also you can use more slow speed to show more delicate 3D effect. This effect can works great for certain types of landscapes. Probably you could create more impressive application for this idea. 3d_landscapes.zip

I'm happy to say that now WnSoft website is completely translated to Italian language: http://www.wnsoft.com/it/ Our great friend from Italy, Carmelo Battaglia, has translated all textes for our website. Including text of email for new customers. It was a hard work. He carefully worked on every detail of everything to be translated correctly and in full. Carmelo Battaglia also updated Italian translation for last recent major versions of PicturesToExe and even complete User guide in PDF format. And we don't forget about our old friend from Italy, Guido Russo, who was first who introduced PicturesToExe for Italian users.

Dave, Thanks for this report! Probably we'll add the edge-antialiasing option for Slide object in custom transition effects in next version. I missed this point earlier. We need some time to check up engine capabilities for this option.

Peter, Thanks, but it's not a bug. Undo works only within a current session of Objects and animation editor since version 5.0. To prevent a case when you could undo changes which were done outside O&A window and you don't see what happens on the screen. For example, if you add a new slide, move it several times in the slide list and then open for editing in O&A window. Undo in this case will cases interesting "effects": slide number, full slide duration will change and finally last undo command will close the O&A window because the slide is no longer exists. Probably we'll rework undo processing after integration of O&A editor as a tab of the main window. It's another subject for discussion.

Xaver, Thanks, we plan to add this option.
