Yes, technologies are changing so quickly. We're modifying code of PicturesToExe to make it crossplatform, not depending on Windows. It also means that we will able easily choose any necessary platform in future.

I apologize for this long waiting. Version of PicturesToExe for Mac in work. We're rewriting the old code of the program for cross-platform version now. That's all I can say now.

By the way, even for now PTE doesn't load full JPEG images for thumbnails. We use tricky optimizations for JPEGs. The main work is loading of slides with objects and rendering in GPU.

Thanks. This idea in my TODO list for next version(s). However caching of thumbnails will not in certain cases. If you change slide duration or transition effect duration, or change objects on a slide, thumbnail will be re-created. Also when you adjust size of Slide list and it changes size of thumbnails they also will be re-created again.

Robert, If you work in the Slide list view (not timeline view) and drop a new audio file to the Slide list, PicturesToExe will add it to the end of first audio track. To add audio file as a second track you need to go to the Project options window | Audio tab and click "Add track" button, then add a audio file to a selected track. Or switch to the Timeline view in the main window, drag a new audio clip from the File list or from Windows Explorer and drop it below the first track. See the red vertical cursor which points where a new audio clip will be inserted. PicturesToExe will create a new track and add your audio clip there.

Peter, Thanks, I confirm all three problems. I noticed bug #2 several days ago.

The compact view if waveforms allows to see more details than with the mixed channels view. You can more easily see peaks in audio. This is especially important if take in attention a lack of screen space in the timeline view. This is not a half view of a waveform. We mixe both top and bottom parts of a waveform. Please just try to work a bit longer with the compact view.
