  1. Hello Jan, Please try following two experiements which will help us more exactly determine reason of this problem: 1. Set "SD 800x600" mode in video output window and start encoding. Will it cause this problem? 2. Do you have same problem with other projects? Please try to produce video file for another project. If problem occurs only with a particular project, please could you send me source files of this project in ZIP archive? You can use www.mediafire.com free service to upload file and then send me link for download via personal message. Thanks in advance! Xaver, There is "GPL and LGPL components.txt" text file in the main folder of PicturesToExe with a list of used GPL and LGPL utilities and components. For x264 we provide the following information in this file: "X264 http://www.videolan.org/developers/x264.html It is released under the terms of the GPL license." Usually companies don't point exact version which they're using. I didn't find this requirement, but probably I was wrong. Almost all slideshow sofware products use x264 GPL library for a long time. We honestly declare that we're using x264 library, we keep original filename of x264 library.
  2. We will not include support of video clips in executables for Mac in final version 7.0. You see how much time it took to implement video clips support for PC version. And we would not delay release of version 7.0 for another several months to complete Mac support. This function will appear in the following update 7.1 (several months later after publication of v7.0). I'm sorry for this delay! In version 7.0 you can create executables with video clips for PC. Produce DVD, AVI, H.264 video files. Publish show on YouTube and Facebook. If you need produce slideshows or AV shows with video clips for Mac, please export show as a video file. See update below
  3. Barry, I'm sorry about this issue. But I have said about this limitation in the section "Known Issues" in the announcement of version 7.0: Please read also my recent post here:
  4. Robert, PicturesToExe installs a special video codec in Windows which also available for other programs (we can't make it visible only for PicturesToExe). We this video codec PicturesToExe produces virtual AVI video file which doesn't contain video stream (only audio stream). This AVI file just a link between PicturesToExe and player/video editor to transfer uncompressed video frames as is. Other video editors can create AVI file using this codec, but file will be useless and is not suitable for playback.
  5. Dave, Thanks for the sample file! I confirm two problems with this MPEG2 file.
  6. Thanks, Lin! I didn't find a good solution for this logical problem yet.
  7. Sheila, Please send me this video file which causes crashes of PicturesToExe. We'll check up.
  8. Please uncheck "Show Navigation bar" option if you create an executable file for Mac in version 7.0 Beta. It's a temporal limitation.
  9. We compress slideshow engine in executable file for PC (about 450 KB). And no compression in executables for Mac (about 1500 KB). But if you pack Mac slideshow into ZIP file it should be almost same (2-4% of difference). Please send me sample video file. Thanks! I'll download the file and we will check up. Update: I've reproduced this problem.
  10. Hello, We're sorry about this problem! Please could you try newest version 7.0 Beta 12? It's enough stable build: http://www.wnsoft.com/files/picturestoexe/picturestoexe-beta.exe If even the new version doesn't work, please tell me step by step how to reproduce this problem.
  11. PicturesToExe Deluxe 7.0 Beta 12 is available now. Download link in the first post above. List of changes: * Fixed problem (v7.0 Beta 11) with crashes of the program after editing of background music in the Project options. * Fixed issues (v7.0 Beta 1-11) with synchronization between audio and video in WMV files. * Fixed problem (v7.0 Beta 1-11) with crashing of PicturesToExe after change on Default Settings in the Project options | More tab.
  12. John, Thanks for the file! I've reproduced this problem. It happens when a project has blank slides. I just fixed this bug in Beta 12.
  13. John, Send me please this project file. I'll reproduce this problem and will fix it.
  14. It would better see this show. Please upload EXE file. I tried reproduce this situation and everything works. Please also make sure that a full slide duration is equal to duration of a video clip. If slide lives longer than video clip it will causes frozen picture of video on the screen. Please disable the Navigation bar option in the Project options. It should help. This is a temporal limitation. Thanks for the file! We're working on the solution now.
  15. Thanks for the confirmation! Of course, PicturesToExe needs 32-bit color mode of display for right color management. Other files are not required now. When a video clip linked to video master object - they all work as one video clip. Replacing of video file in one video object will replace video in all linked video objects. If you unlink one object (setting Single video clip mode) it becomes independent and now you can replace its video filename to another.
  16. Hello, Yes, it's possible. P.S. We will remove 10 slide limit in trial version 7.0.
  17. Xaver, Please send me the sample video file. I'll check up for synchronization.
  18. Chris, Yes, I discovered their new website yesterday exactly when we launched our new website. We started works on our new web design on past September. I sent drafts of our new web design to several users of PicturesToExe six months ago.
  19. Dave, Success, at last! Thanks, I see it now.
  20. Dave, Sorry, I still can't reproduce this bug. Could you please tell step-by-step?
  21. Please read my reply here:
  22. Thanks for your comments!
  23. Hello Jean-Pierre, It's a very interesting problem! Please could you save this project by another file name and leave only one slide with this image file (bird). Then please send me project file and image in ZIP archive (you can use "Create backup in ZIP" function in the main menu | File). And upload file to www.mediafire.com Also could you check up display settings that it set to 32-bit color. Thanks in advance! P.S. Thanks Lin for the translation!
  24. Hello, Thanks for your report! Please could you repeat the problem with adding of background music and give me step-by-step instruction to reproduce this issue? Other problems probably happened because the project file was damaged after the first error.
  25. We launched an updated WnSoft web site today. And we plan improve it continuously with new information. http://www.wnsoft.com
