  1. Jean-Cyprien, Probably it's the bug of PicturesToExe. Please watch for this situation and let me know if this will occur again. Also each version of PicturesToExe creates own unique folder for cached files, even if you install several beta versions into one folder. Also an each new beta version doesn't import cached files from previous beta. So you needn't care about these things.
  2. Thanks, Jean-Cyprien! It's interesting issue. I see that the executable file has an incorrectly converted PNG image file Depuis.png. We convert PNG files to internal format based on ZIP format (lossless compression). And in this case conversion failed for some reason. PicturesToExe uses cache of recently converted PNG images and now every time you get wrong file in EXE or fullscreen preview. Honestly I don't know what caused this problem, because I can successfully build executable file with text picture. The temporal solution will be: - Rename Depuis.png file (the best variant). - Or move this file into another folder. In both cases, PicturesToExe will convert PNG file again and I hope this time it will work. Or you can uninstall Beta 9 to clear cache of converted PNG images. Please watch will it completely solve the problem or it will return again?
  3. Jean-Cyprien, I had a problem with loading of any project files from this ZIP archive. One image file has non-latine symbols. I found this file Dode.png and also renamed in the object (Dode.png) on Slide #2. Then I was able open it. I see the text on second slide (view). I've uploaded executable file and modified sources: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/Sorcier_modified.zip http://www.wnsoft.com/test/Sorcier_708A.exe Could you please upload EXE file? Also try to remove remove all other slides, objects to keep as possible small number of objects to reproduce this problem.
  4. Hello Randi, The problem with color management (manual settings) was with versions since 5.0 under Windows XP only. I'm sure it's a fault of ATI/AMD company. I had a conversation with a person from ATI. He've confirmed this problem and said that it's not a high priority problem for ATI. They concentrated on 3D games. That very sadly. There are no such problems under Windows 7 and Windows Vista (at least with my old ATI video card). The explanation is very simple - ATI/AMD had to adapt their drivers for the new user interface called Aero Glass, because new Windows use Direct 3D mode as PicturesToExe.
  5. I think it's a hardaware issue or problem with drivers. Please download and install (or re-install) the latest drivers for your video card. It should help. Also it's better to install all Windows updates if applicable.
  6. Hello, Please try uninstall PicturesToExe Deluxe 6.5 and re-install it again. If it doesn't help and Preview function still is not workable, try the latest version 7.0 Beta 9: Let me know about result, please.
  7. Some programs which work in background (scanning for viruses, opened browser on web page with rich Flash content, ICQ) may cause interruptions in Pan/Zoom/Effects. I found several ways to guarantee non-stop work of slideshow. This behaviour of a slideshow core provides smooth as silk animation.
  8. Hello John, Please let me know how to configure Windows settings for this behaviour of mouse? I'll check up.
  9. John, I've reproduced this visual defect and fixed for following Beta 10. Thanks! Please leave a comment when you try updated version.
  10. Robert, Thank you for the sample file! We'll add support of .m2v and .m2t formats in following beta versions. I'll download trial version of Sony Vegas to try produced video clips with PicturesToExe. However there will be one restriction for .m2v files. Usually .m2v file (only video stream) comes with .m2a vile (audio stream). We'll not support such dual files and there will be no sound when you add .m2v file. If you need audio stream please add .mpg file.
  11. Geoff, This question was raised several times recently. We'll add a special chapter the User manual. This will be published in a month. Currently we can find shortcuts in the main menu of the program and in popup menus.
  12. Robert, Please send me short sample file which was not recognized by PicturesToExe initially. I think the program supports it, but we have to add one more file extension to the known-formats list. We use ffmpeg video library which contains decoders for almost all video formats.
  13. Hello Robert! Please tell me what file extension of edited video clips? I recommend use DIVX, XVID, MPEG4-ASP or MPEG2 format (.avi or .mpg file extension). Also I recommend install the latest Beta 9 of version 7.0. It has much more features and functions than Beta 1. And improved support of video clips.
  14. For all, Please try version 7.0 Beta 9. It's a very reliable beta.
  15. Tom, We did this behaviour of mouse cursor like in all browsers (Firefox, Chrome, IE, Safari) and native applications on Windows/Mac. For buttons mouse cursor doesn't change its shape (pointer), and for hyperlink it changes (hand).
  16. Peter, Thanks for the confirmation! Barry, If you click to a gap between file file and file list it hides the tree. Probably it was a reason of that issue?
  17. PicturesToExe Deluxe 7.0 Beta 9 is available now. Download link in the first post above. List of changes: + Added preview of a video clip when adjusting "Start time" and "Duration" in the Objects and animation editor. Click the small button placed on the right side from time value. + The program displays progress for video encoding and creating of executable file on the taskbar in Windows 7. + Improved message window for not saved project ("Save", "Don't Save", "Cancel" instead of "Yes", "No", "Cancel"). + Now it possible select several slides and type one text comment for these slides in the main window. * Fixed issue (all versions) when after an installation a window of PicturesToExe appears behind a window of Windows Explorer. * Other bug-fixes and improvements.
  18. Anthony, The benefits of built-in video convertor in following beta releases of version 7.0: 1) Best format for executable slideshows for smooth playback in real-time. 2) Optimal file size for converted video clips. 3) Simple in use. 4) Good integration with PicturesToExe. Video convertor will NOT require Deluxe license. It is a basic feature of version 7.0
  19. The video convertor will be included to one of following beta versions in three weeks or so.
  20. Tom, I've removed this function. It's a rarely used feature which complicates the program. Since following Beta 9 it will possible select several slides and set one text comment for these slides. I think it more handy and flexible.
  21. Barry, Navigation bar can be very useful for viewers of your AV shows. Not for all kind of shows, but for many ones, I think. You can disable Navigation bar at all in 3 clicks (Project options | Main tab | "Show Navigation Bar"). We can try add safe time interval after startup of a show, say 1 second to prevent casual appearing of the navigation bar.
  22. Peter, I was told the good solution for the issue with window of PicturesToExe after installation. This will be included to following Beta 9.
  23. Thanks! I'll fix it in Beta 9. Peter, it's a intermittent issue. I'm trying find some solution. The bug definitely in Windows Vista/7. I raised this problem on a forum of InnoSetup developers: http://news.jrsoftware.org/read/article.php?id=91852&group=jrsoftware.innosetup#91852
  24. PicturesToExe Deluxe 7.0 Beta 8 is available now. Download link in the first post above. List of changes: + Changed list of transition effects suggested by default. * Fixed bug (v7.0 Beta 6-7) the program didn't save values: "Start time", "Offset", "Mute audio" in linked video clips. * Fixed bug (v7.0 Beta 1-7) with appearing of error message if call "File info" window for a blank slide in the Objects and animation editor.
  25. Thanks, we'll fix this bug in Beta 8. P.S. I've united your topic with this one to keep all bug-reports in our place.
