[Bug] Another Menu Sequence problem using v6.01
Igor replied to fh1805's topic in General Discussion
Thanks, Peter! We've reproduced several issues and will investigate these problems. -
Peter, In two months, I think.Dave, You will able mix many music files. Eric, 1. Yes.2. Yes. 3. Very reasonable question! Fortunately even decoding of several MP3 music files takes much less than 1% of CPU time, so it's not a problem to play several mixed MP3 files in realtime. The only question in size of EXE file which will include several MP3 files. 4. The work still in progress. But as I see there shouldn't be changes for current workflow. New features available under new buttons and in a new special mode of the timeline. Jean-Pierre, We'll mix music files in realtime without re-encoding. Probably we will add "Export tracks to MP3" option to mix all tracks into one audio file. You will able choose both ways. Etienne, Sorry for this misprint! You're right. of course.

Excuse me for long absence on the forum. We're working on the next version. Probably its version name will be 6.5. Here are some part of new features and changes: - The key feature is an advanced audio manipulations with tracks. Fade in/out, cross-fading, simple virtual editing. - "Insert Blanc Slide" feature. - "Go to slide" will support slide names in addition to slide numbers. - Some improvements for 3D objects, including ability to visually adjust 3D axis in the editor by mouse. Inserting of video clips also in progress already a half of year, but will not be available in the next version yet. We need more time to implement it. A great challenge for PicturesToExe. Also we're working on porting of PicturesToExe to Mac. That's all I can say now.

I'd like to suggest add a word "Solved" to all topic names for resolved problems/issues. Could I ask moderators or topic starters perform this work, please? For example: A music bug? A music bug? [sOLVED] Or here: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11206

We're still trying reproduce these problems with Windows 7 and no luck with it yet. I hope will be more successful in the next year. Thanks for your patience.

I'd like to ask users of Windows 7 who have problems with PicturesToExe 5.5, 5.6 and 6.0. This problem was described as a freezing of the program or Windows when an user starts a new project and add one or several new slides. We still can't reproduce this problem and need more information. All I know presently that Microsoft recently fixed very similar issue related with video drivers when Windows Vista was upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit. Please answer on several questions: 1) Brief description of the problem. 2) Edition of Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate, etc.) 3) 32-bit or 64-bit? 4) It's a new clean installation of upgrade from Windows XP or Windows Vista? (please specify version of previous Windows - 32-bit or 64-bit)? 5) Did it help solve this problem when you installed all suggested drivers and updated through Windows Update? 6) The problem is resolved now? Thanks in advance!

Hello, Please reply on my questions in that topic: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11198 Thanks,

I applied a suggested temporal solution. It doesn't fully solve the problem, but looks much better in IE7. We're waiting for the final fix in the next Invision forum update.
-
A confirmation from Invision: It affects to IE7.
-
Thank you for letting me know! We recently updated the forum from v3.0.4 to latest v3.0.5. Apparently it became a reason of this fault. I just reported to Invision support on this issue.

Latest Version of NAV (Norton Anti-Virus) 2010
Igor replied to Lin Evans's topic in General Discussion
Thanks, Lin! I regrettably don't have Norton antivirus on my PC (I use NOD32 at home and Avast at work), VirtusTotal online service has old update which doesn't indicate this false positive. Please could you ask your friend what exact version of PicturesToExe was used to create that executable? -
We've discovered a problem on a server which sends automated emails with license keys for new customers. So today and yesterday many customers didn't receive their license keys for PicturesToExe. New keys will be sent manually during 24 hours after purchasing to all customers. We apologize for this problem and will try fix it as soon as possible!

Please try to save EXE file to another folder on another hard disk. If it will not help, can I send you a special test version of PicturesToExe to determine reason of this issue? Thanks in advance!
-
Where do you save executable file of a slideshow - in My documents folder? Do you work under Administrator account in Windows XP? It's strange that with same settings PicturesToExe was able to create once EXE file and failed on second attempt. Probably firewall or antivirus disturbs to PicturesToExe.
-
Thanks for the confirmation!
-
1) Did you have same issue with previous version of PicturesToExe 5.6? 2) Please open the next PicturesToExe's folder in Windows Explorer: C:\Program Files\WnSoft PicturesToExe\6.0\All\Components\UPX Then rename UPX folder to another name, say UPX2. Will it solve this problem?
