  1. We have finished this improvement for next version 5.7. I remember we were asked many times for this feature:
  2. Ray, I confirm this bug. We'll fix it soon. Thank you!
  3. Peter, It necessary because when first sequence calls the second sequence (using "Run Slideshow" command) first slideshow's engine is still working and plays slideshow from second sequence. It is critically important to have: - Same version of .pte project files. - Same slideshow's engine (features, bug-fixes). For example, in v5.6.1 we've fixed the bug with mouse cursor and the bug with "Wait for key press". And if allow "Run slideshow" command between v5.6.0 and v5.6.1 slideshows we will have unexpected behaviour. Here is the problem and regrettably I don't know better solution. We think about releasing some kind of WnSoft Player which could play any version of EXE file of slideshow. But this solution doesn't cover current issue. I promissed add special tool which will help quickly re-build all linked EXE slideshows. Probably it will become good solution?
  4. Thanks, Peter! I've understood reason of this problem now. Yes, it is false positive. It already happened when we released v5.60 and Norton has fixed this issue. This antivirus does not like that a program has EXE file with name which contains word "setup". So it seems useless contact them again. We have to change name of this EXE file to fully prevent appearing of this false positive.
  5. Peter, Please try again re-install v5.6.1 to same folder over already installed v5.6.1. Will that error occur again? If problem happens again, please run installation of v5.6 over installed copy (5.6 folder). Re-installation (not clear installation after uninstallation) does not change any settings. Please don't run uninstallation of v5.6.1 because it uses settings/parameters of v5.6 (in Documents & Settings folder) and will uninstall it. Thanks in advance! I'll reply tomorrow regarding "Run Slideshow" commands. I need time to think.
  6. Peter, Probably your antivirus prohibits copying of SetupVideoInet.exe file (module for YouTube/Vimeo)? Could you let me know what antivirus you use? I think same issue should occur and in v5.6 on your PC. Please try install previous v5.6 again. I have to explore this problem. Like in previous versions. Mouse cursor changes its view only for Hyperlinks, Images and Rectangles with action.
  7. We've prepared updated version 5.6.1 to fix several problems. It is beta version, but I hope it should not bring new problems and will be posted as final v5.6.1 in two days: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-setup_beta.zip * Fixed problem with uploading of slideshows to YouTube * Fixed bug of v5.6 when mouse cursor didn't change its view when cursor was placed over an object with action (Text, Image, Rectangle). * Fixed problem with "Run Application" action of object under Windows Vista. Sometimes window of started application was hidden behind the slideshow window. * Fixed problem with "Wait for a key press" option and objects with actions. + Minor changes.
  8. There is a very simple way of publishing slideshow as video on your website without Youtube or Vimeo. 1) Download Uppod player. It is stand-alone 100 KB .swf file and txt file with settings. And upload to your website. 2) Choose Create HD video for PC/Mac and choose necessary video size. 640x480 for example. 3) Once PicturesToExe finished creating of MP4 video file, upload it to your website and insert the next script to HTML page: <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="uppod.swf" width="640" height="480"><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="uppod.swf" /><param name="flashvars" value="comment=myslideshow.mp4&st=video3-772.txt&file=myslideshow.mp4" /></object> Many players including Uppod player have direct support of MP4 video files. And no need to convert it to SWF.
  9. Peter, I remember about this request. We'll try to implement this suggestion to v5.7. Scorpion, Yes. For all textes, including text comments and captions of buttons. Tom, There is another way: 1. Click on a slideshow to choose it. 2. Press "Space" key on the keyboard to see fullscreen preview of this slide. 3. Press "PrintScreen" key on the keyboard to copy image of slideshow to the clipboard.
  10. Tony, Sorry, but you forgot to attach the ZIP file with project files to your message.
  11. Thanks for your all thoughts and suggestions! Probably it better to add second button to the bottom part of the main inteface? It should solve this problem and will highlight EXE format as primary output option. Create EXE file | Export (all video options) | Preview | etc
  12. Tony, Could you upload one slide project to illustrate it, please?
  13. Thanks, Peter! I apologize for this issue. v5.6.1 is almost ready.
  14. Dear Lin, We send you and your wife our best wishes! And thanks for your help!
  15. We fully reworked text rendering for the future version 5.7 and it works in two times faster now and with improved visual quality. Also we plan make vectorization of text objects when you create EXE file of a slideshow and it will guarantee: - Displaying of used unique fonts (not presented on a PC where you run this slideshow). - Flawless quality of text at any screen resolution (earlied you could use rasterized text to PNG image file with fixed pixel size.) However we will keep "Rasterize text to PNG image" option for those users who want make post-processing of PNG in graphical editor for example. I'd like to ask one question. Does anybody use manual font size in text objects (disabled "Auto font quality" option)? We can keep it, just I'd like to know if somebody use it.
  16. We're testing added built-in support of MP4 audio music files in the next version of PicturesToExe 5.7. You know that Apple iTunes Store will sell DRM-free MP4 music files now. We need various MP4 files to thoroughly test this new feature of PicturesToExe. - DRM free MP4 files. - And DRM protected files. To correctly recognize them and show warning for user. Please send me MP4 files or give URLs to copyright-free MP4 files in Internet. Thanks in advance!
  17. Mike, Yes, I've uploaded all shows now: PicturesToExe Deluxe 5.0: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/PteShow.zip http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/Late_Summer_at_the_Garden.zip PicturesToExe Deluxe 5.6: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/PteShow_v560.zip http://www.wnsoft.com/test/Late_Summer_at_...Garden_v560.zip
  18. Lin, Thank you for the interesting observation. We think this difference comes from reading of multiple resources (images/music) from one EXE file and from separate files. We load images and music in several parallel threads of CPU and Windows better optimizes reading when we load images from different files in opposite to one EXE file. It's our supposition. We'll explorer this issue later.
  19. Mike, PteShow demo was initially created in v5.0. Please try updated version I've re-created in v5.6: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/PteShow_v560.zip (8 MB) But it is really strange issue, because there should be no problem with Vista. Jim, Usually all old slideshows should work. But the most often problem that sometimes happens on some PCs - incorrect work of drivers of video card. Simple updating these drivers cure the problem.
  20. What version of PicturesToExe you have used to make this slideshow? If v5.0 or newer, please use Windows Update to update drivers of video card and sound card. Please try this official demo from our website: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/Late_Summer_at_the_Garden.zip How it will play on your laptop?
  21. We have published updated YouTube settings on our server to solve problem with uploading of slideshow on YouTube. When you open YouTube output window in PicturesToExe the program automatically will suggest you download and use updated settings. Please click Yes button to confirm. If PicturesToExe doesn't show the message about the updated settings, please wait 24 hours and try again. P.S. future v5.6.1 already will contain this fix for YouTube.
  22. We don't support Windows 98/Me anymore in v5.6. if it really necessary we could do it, but new slideshows use hardware acceleration and require more powerful PCs.
  23. Tony, Thanks for details, the problem definitely is on side of video card or drivers. And the updated drivers may help.
  24. Thank you for letting me know! It will be fixed in v5.6.1 (next week).
  25. Thanks, I have reproduced this problem (2 second's delay) in both versions 5.5 and 5.6. And we will investigate this problem. But the most likely the problem in this particular MP3 audio file. Probably rewinding inside this file works incorrectly. It may happens if MP3 encoded incorrectly or damaged during dowloading. The easy way to check it - temporary convert it to WAV and check for the problem again.
