  1. When you will open old project created in old v4.48 in new v5.00, PicturesToExe will automatically convert all objects to the new format. There is a major question for this. Earlier as you know object were not scalable and their positions depended on screen resolution. How you want PicturesToExe to convert these old objects: 1) Convert size of old objects to relative sizes (in percents). Now these converted objects will look equally at any screen resolution. They will be scaled proportionally. (For converting I'll use 1024x768 virtual screen size. In other words, converted objects in v5.00 will look as they displayed in v4.48's slide show at 1024x768 screen resolution). 2) Leave them as is. PicturesToExe will set flag "Original size" for these objects. However later you can adjust these objects to percents in "Objects and animation" window. But it's a hard work. Personally I don't like this variant. It better to make this convertation in auto mode to don't bother user with a questions. What is your opinion about this?
  2. I didn't test it yet. ATI already solved problem with desktop gamma in drivers for Windows Vista. For Windows XP they promised do it later ("low priority" as they said). I'll remind ATI about this on February.
  3. Roberto, It's a very interesting info! And it would be wonderful if Crossover could support PicturesToExe v4.48 and v5.00 beta. But for this it's necessary that many users of PicturesToExe write to this company and shown several slide shows created in v4.48 and v5.00 beta 1) Concerning created slide show (AV) If you play only MP3/WAV/MIDI music it doesn't use any DLLs. If slide show contains WMA/OGG, it extracts wma.dll or ogg.dll to Temp folder of Windows. For other needs slide shows also use this Temp folder to put configuration file. 2) Main program of PicturesToExe v4.48 (apr.exe) and slide show can work even under pure Windows 95. It means that we use only common functions in Windows and they should exists in Crossover. Main program use Temp folder and Application Data of current user to put Preview EXE file. For example: C:\Documents and Settings\Igor\Application Data\PicturesToExe\ By the way, did you try slide shows created in v5.00 beta? For example this: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/Flowers.zip (1.6 MB)
  4. Bruce, I just sent you emails with request of additional details.
  5. Please install latest v4.48 It should solve problem with preview.
  6. You can only create slide show as video: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3089 Oftopic: Interesting video of night sky over telescopes in Chile: http://www.astrosurf.com/sguisard/SGU-Para...6-mus-ok-en.avi (6 MB)
  7. Rebooting is not necessary. Please say me what text of this error was shown? Do you have this problem earlier? I think the reason in settings of your TV. Try other commercial DVD movies with menu to see how it will be displayed.
  8. Thank you for testing! Please could you do the next test: 1) In Video Builder on the last third page (with settings) choose only "Create DVD folders" option and it should create two folders: VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS. 2) Please copy these earlier created VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders to drive C:\ (C:\VIDEO_TS and C:\AUDIO_TS) 3) Download and run this burning utility: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/BurningUtility.zip (110 KB) 4) If you will work with -RW disc press Erase button before burning, in another case press "Record DVD" button. Please let me know about result.
  9. I asked add feature for burning of earlier created .iso images. Please tell me more.
  10. I asked Sergey write special function for Video Builder: "Burn ISO image" button. You can create ISO image now and burn created image of a DVD-Video disc at any time right in Video Builder.
  11. Peter, 1) Please try this new beta version: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/apr-deluxe_23-01-2007.zip 2) If it will not help, try to set more low speed of burning.
  12. Please try this updated beta version: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/apr-deluxe_23-01-2007.zip
  13. Thanks for you patience! I just fixed this bug, please wait for the next beta. As temporal solution, please uncheck "Auto spread slides along music" option in Timeline window and adjust all time points manually. Or click "More" button and choose "Arrange transition points".
  14. Thanks for your suggestion, we'll add "Number of copies" option already to this v5.00 or next version. Currently you can use "Create ISO" option to burn disc later in another program. Al, It's dangerous to burn VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders in "data" mode. Such disc will not play on many old and some new DVD players. You need to use "DVD-Video" mode in Nero if you want to burn VIDEO_TS folders. Because for DVD-Video files should be specially sorted to be fully compliant with DVD-Video specifications. Maybe Nero automatically do it if you add VIDEO_TS folder in "Data" mode. Better to use "Create ISO image" option and burn ISO file in any program. It's more simple and safe. We don't add copy protection.
  15. Bill, This feature is not available in current beta. We scheduled it for beta 10.
  16. Peter, 1) Please try to burn other RW or R discs. 2) If you can test this -RW disc only, please make full erasing in Nero (it may takes 15-30 minutes). And then try burn this media in Video Builder again. 3) Are you using default speed setting for burning in Video Builder? p.s. do you still have that problem with sound in PicturesToExe you've wrote me some time ago?
  17. Bob, Thank you! We reproduced this bug in AVI and DVD. I'll fix this bug in the next beta.
  18. Thanks, we'll investigate this problem and I'll write you on Monday.

  20. Next beta 9. Major step to v5.00 Beta 8t is only small update mainly to fix one bug in Video Builder.
  21. It happens because you choosed white color with alpha 0 for the right side of the rectangle object. Try to set black color and alpha 0 and you'll have necessary result
  22. Dominique, Choose some color for one side of Rectange object in the new Color dialog and set Alpha "A" parameter to 0 (see where R, G, B, A parameters).
  23. Please try newest PicturesToExe Deluxe v5.00 beta #8t http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/apr-deluxe_beta.zip (4 MB) It should solve problem with "not PAL disc" message.
  24. PicturesToExe Deluxe v5.00 beta #8t http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/apr-deluxe_beta.zip (4 MB) It's a minor update of beta 8t: + Objects and animation window: - Added "Diagonal" style for Rectangle objects. - Added alpha parameter to color of Rectangle objects. You can set alpha 255 for one side and 0 for another side and make partially semi0-transparent rectangle. + New view of color dialog. * More reliable work of WnSoft Video Builder.
