  1. We're working so long on v5.00 because it's really difficult task and we want to create high quality software. Using of DirectX and Pan/Zoom effects in real time required to carefully develop core of the slide show engine.
  2. Yes, next beta 9.
  3. Please don't worry, we'll solve this problem! Let me know what sound card you have installed? Try to download latest drivers for your sound card and update it. If it will not help, I'll send you special test version on Monday which will help us to find exact place where the problem occurs.
  4. Geoff, We fixed this problem with "not a PAL disc" error on some players. It will be in the next beta.
  5. I used two image on a slide and several keypoints to make more cool effect of a flight. I think if add three image with different keypoints effect will be more good. I also used image with radial blur, 10. Really it's necessary to leave only one slide, but I wanted to limit show to 60 seconds and make last slide with fading to black color. In last slide, I just deleted all objects and because of this it's blank.
  6. "Flight Over Sea" Small demonstration of flight http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/FlightOverSea_demo.zip (2.6 MB) EXE file of the slide show + source files. The key to this effect - enabled "Perspective correction for Zoom" option for an image.
  7. Please don't worry, our main priority at this moment - preparing of beta 9 with exact synchronization and all music modes. I'll answer on other questions tomorrow.
  8. Hello, Do you have similar problem in other programs? I really never heard about this problem before. Please check up PC for viruses. As I understand PicturesToExe worked fine before and the problem happened only recently?
  9. I just prepared special v4.49 beta 1, please try it maybe it will help solve problem with timeline: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/apr_v449b1.zip (1.5 MB)
  10. Please wait for beta 9 when we'll realize all modes, and Alt-Tab will not pause slide show.
  11. Please install PicturesToExe v5.00 beta 8R again and try to open timeline and play music. Will that problem occurs in v5.00, too? I'll check up this part of code of v4.48 today.
  12. Sorry for the temporal problem with the forum. All works fine now again.
  13. Hello! We'll try to solve this problem ASAP. Please let me know: 1) This problem occurs when start PicturesToExe v5.00 beta or when you start EXE file with created slide show or fullscreen Preview? 2) What protection software you use? I'll download and try it. 3) Can you run this slide show? http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/PteShow.zip 4) What Windows you use and what CPU.
  14. Yes, DVD burning works only under Windows 2000, XP, Vista

Harry, I've sent you the new key. If you plan to buy new video card it's a good choice to prefer NVIDIA Geforce 6600 or 7600 or ATI Radeon 9600 or X1600 It better to have 256 MB on board video memory now for future Windows Vista. For PTE v5.00 it's enough 128 MB. With more powerful video card Vista will work more fast (graphical interface of new Windows uses Direct3D with hardware accelleration as PicturesToExe v5.00).
  16. Please don't set Large font in Windows. It brings a problem in many applications. This mode only increases size of fonts without enlarging of buttons, windows, etc. Set 120 dpi or higher instead of 96 dpi in Display properties dialog. In this mode Windows proportionally scales all controls in applications.
  17. Thanks, Lin! I would like to add to Lin's observation that if don't take in attention question of video memory and time of loading, showing of images 1024x768 and 1600x1200 takes exactly same time. For video card it's important screen resolution, not images resolution. But on modern video cards like Geforce 6800 or Radeon X1600 no difference, because these video cards so powerful that can do everything. Even for 1920x1080 displays.
  18. Yesterday I bought NOD32 for my home PC. This antivirus can work in special mode without popuping of splash screen or update windows.
  19. Yes, it will work ideally on Geforce 4 Ti 4200 (or higher) and 128 MB of video memory.
  20. Please try this slide show created in v5.00: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/PteShow.zip How it plays on your PC? If this slide show also has problem with smoothness, please download and install latest drivers for your video card from ATI web site: www.ati.com
  21. Probably I'll try to add playing of sound comments on timeline in v5.00
  22. Hans, We will not continue works on v4.00 because it's difficult to work on two diffierent programs. And no sense. I I hope to fully replace old v4.48 with new v5.00 PicturesToExe v5.00 should be better in all aspects than previous version. If you don't like that we're using hardware accelleration and DirectX now, since v5.00 beta 9 you will able to turn on second CPU based graphical engine that works excellently on old PCs (with simple transition effects as earlier) and will work even under Windows 95 with very old video card. This old engine will be automatically turned on if slide show sees that no DirectX installed or very old video card. So you can entrust this choice on slide show. We will offer PicturesToExe v5.00 - $30 and PicturesToExe Deluxe v5.00 - $50 The only difference between simple and Deluxe editions - Video Builder in Deluxe edition.
  23. Current beta supports all sound modes and synchronization in AVI and Video Builder. We're working on same thing for EXE/Preview now. Andrew, I sent you emails concerning Video Builder today.
  24. I'm sorry for this problem! Kula slide show NOT infected. This slide show created in old version of PicturesToExe v3.60 and this false detection of AVG already happened two years ago Now it seems that authors of AVG antivirus forgot about this and again marks slide shows created in PTE v3.60 as virus. I'll write them again. If you can please write also to GriSoft it will help to solve this problem more quickly: Example of slide show created in v3.60: http://www.kulamaui.com/slideshow/kula.exe (20 MB) GriSoft, authors of AVG antivirus: http://grisoft.com p.s. it seems that we are not able to send a letter to GriSoft because technical support and any contact information only for registered users. We'll try to send the letter to sales department.
  25. I'm very glad! Thanks Happy New Year!
