  1. Lin, Matrox video cards are very slow in hardware accelerated 3D mode. We can't do anything with it. But now when Windows Vista released Matrox will prepare more fast video cards to be able operate in new 3D Aero Glass user interface.
  2. Music in DVD menu will possible in the next versio 5.1
  3. You can press Ctrl-A in Slide list to select all slides, then click "Customize slide" button and choose "Stop at the end of a slide". Click OK. And every slide will wait for key press to go to a next slide.
  4. I apologize, but unfortunately it's impossible to optimize Mosaic effect when "Use hardware acceleration" option disabled. In v4.48 we used special optimizations, but now when v5.00 allows Pan/Zoom effects, copyright logo and partially transparent Navigation bar over slide, it can't be used more. Probably we can do something in next 5.1 but it will take vast time for investigations. For hardware accelerated mode (and on modern video cards) we'll optimize Mosaic in v5.1 But if you use Mosaic effect with parameters like 8 x 8 and appearance 4, this effect should work as before. Sorry.
  5. Thanks, I think it will be useful to remind ATI every month about this problem. On this page ATI asked to report about problems in drivers and we can follow by their request
  6. Patrick, I'll compare Mosaic effect in v4.48 and v5.00 on Monday. Maybe it will possible to optimize it. Please give me parameters you used for this effect and duration of the effect.
  7. Please send your response on this problem to ATI here: http://support.ati.com/ics/survey/survey.a...86&type=web In several words: slide shows created in PicturesToExe 5 use fullscreen Direct 3D mode and ATI drivers for Windows XP in this mode ignore color calibration which adjusted for desktop. This problem don't occur on NVIDIA or INTEL video cards.
  8. Please don't use "Original size" mode of images. If you will take 853x480 image and set "Fit to slide" (as by default) you will get 16:9 AVI video (without strips).
  9. Thanks, I'm very glad! We already modified code of PicturesToExe in new beta 17 and now open dialog via browse button will make file name without path if this EXE file located in same folder where located main EXE file of current slide show. It seems that old code in previous betas couldn't correctly process absolute path and find EXE file in some cases. Anyway now since beta 17 such problem should not happen any more.
  10. We plan to improve global timeline. And you will able to add any tracks (at any place of timeline) with simple effects (fade in/out, cropping). New music player we added to v5.00 allows these effects. v5.10 or v5.20
  11. Beta 17 available.
  12. PicturesToExe Deluxe v5.00 Beta 17: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/apr-deluxe.zip (4 MB) It's a Release Candidate 1 New features in v5.00 http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4327 What new in Beta 17 * If you copy and try to modify rasterized Text object, PicturesToExe will warn that linked PNG file already used by another Text object. * Fixed crashing of PicturesToExe with AVI video output with some width/height parameters. * Fixed visual bug in Advanced Hour Hand transition effect. * Fixed bug when on last slide after "Run Application" action already finished music continues to play again. * Fixed bug with conflict between assigned action for left mouse button and Navigation bar * Fixed several other bugs. + Small improvements. Please post bug-reports in special topic: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6455
  13. Ray, I fixed this bug in the future beta 17. It happened because AVI should not has size uneven width or height. 853 incorrect value. 854 correct value. We modified code and automatically correct width/height if it necessary.
  14. Steve, I agree, but we leaved it for the next version.
  15. So you can successfully encode any project to DVD? Please let me know if problem will occur again with encoded DVD disc.
  16. I hope we will release v5.00 in two-three weeks (when we fix current bugs).
  17. Thank you, Ray! I reproduced this bug and we will try to fix it today.
  18. Thanks, I just sent you reply via forum PM message.
  19. Ken, We can't set speed which not presented in combobox of speeds. Burning library doesn't allow it. Sorry.
  20. Ken, VideoBuilder as any burning program asks DVD media for a list of possible speeds. If you can't choose some speed, it means that this particular DVD media, or DVD writer don't support this speed of burning.
  21. Maybe problem in Nero Vision in this particular case? Although I successfully burned AVI with Nero Vision. But if you could create normal DVD from AVI in VideoBuilder it means that it works.
  22. VideoBuilder detects maximal burn speed for current DVD writer and DVD media. For example 2,4X and 4X. But you can set 2,4X if you prefer burn disc on lower speed. Sorry if I didn't understand your question.
  23. We plan to release v5.00 soon (in two weeks). If problems with AVI video output still exist, please reply me as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.
  24. Thank you, I will know now about this moment with network drives. It's not your mistake, I didn't expect that this problem may occur, but probably some network drive may work slowely or chipset on motheboard or network drivers have some problem.
  25. Den, For me it's always useful to learn which problems may occur on PCs of users of PicturesToExe, because not only you could have similar difficulty. Thank you for let me know. If it possible please tell in more details. Did you create EXE file with slide show on network drive and run it? Or you created project which used images from network drive and then pressed Preview button?
