  1. Gilbert, 1) What video card installed in your PC? 2) Did you try previous betas of v5.00 ? Or you worked only with old v4.48? 3) Can you play this slide show: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/Flowers.zip
  2. Steve, Thank you for testing! Please send me these log files. Probably we didn't enough test burning on external firewire DVD writers. The error message in the log says that not all files were burned correctly. Also this reason why it had problem with playback on stand-alone DVD player. Bruce, I'm glad that it works now!
  3. Geoff, We don't use Nero engine. We licensed another burning library that should not conflict with other burning software. Do you also had problem with 99% of burning of a disc in latest beta 8A that released today? If yes, please can you try with another DVD media?
  4. Bruce, Please try also another DVD+R disc or burn disc on more slow speed. Al, It's another problem. That problem was with multiplexing of video files. But this problem occurs at the end of burning of a disc.
  5. Please try updated beta 8A: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/apr-deluxe_beta.zip (4 MB) Start Video Builder. And press Shift+Ctrl+Alt+Q You'll see special window. Choose "Create burning log" and please try to burn a disc. Please send me create burning.log file that will be created on disc C:\ int_support (at) wnsoft.com Also please send me screenshot of last messages in the log window during recording.
  6. I just uploaded updated beta 8A http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/apr-deluxe_beta.zip (4 MB) It fixes one bug with "Perspective correction for Zoom" option. In some cases it just didn't work. And I fixed bug when installer didn't update Preview module. Dominique, But in your example all is right. Difference between sizes in two keypoints is about 65000 times. (65% and 0.001%) Perspective correction works this way. It like if imagine that you watch from Jupiter how Earth moves to Sun from Jupiter. Earth will quickly become an invisible point. If you set 1% instead of 0.001% all will be OK.
  7. I just did addifional tests under Windows Vista (Release Candidate 2) and I found way to release this option in non-exclusive fullscreen mode of slide show and in second CPU based graphical engine. But in exlusive fullscreen mode it's not possible - blinking will occur on at startup of a slide show. v5.00 will suggest three screen modes: - Future CPU based graphical engine in v5.00 like it was used in v4.48 "Show first transition effect from desktop" option will work. - Hardware accellerated fullscreen mode (it uses video card, but Pan effect will not look enough smooth) "Show first transition effect from desktop" option will work. - Hardware accellerated EXCLUSIVE fullscreen mode (it uses video card, all effects look ideally) This mode used in all current betas of v5.00 "Show first transition effect from desktop" option will NOT work.
  8. Dominique, I confirm this visual bug. It seems that it happens in some combination of parameters. We'll try to fix it today. Thanks!
  9. Bruce, We'll try to solve this problem! [Edited by admin1]
  10. I found bug in Preview function. It possible that you work with old variant of preview from previous beta. To fix this problem, please install new beta #8 again and immediately run fullscreen Preview. Now you'll have new Preview function (PTE will put new PtePreview.exe file). I'll fix this bug ASAP.
  11. Try to set Zoom for some image. Then clone this object and make it 50% opacity in both keypoints. And set "Perspective correction" option. You should see difference in Preview or in created EXE file.
  12. Old slide shows created in v4.48 with this option work as without this option at all - just transition effect from black screen to a first slide. No visual bugs.
  13. Hans, Please write here if it possible. I'll try to answer. Dominique, p.s. did you notice that with "Perspective correction for Zoom" option, zooming in makes illusion of 3D space, like flight through space?
  14. Steve, Please see a new topic I just started on the forum. http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5239 Thanks to all for checking this beta version!
  15. There is a problem with implementation of "Show first transition effect from desktop" option. A new window (e.g. slide show) always blinks when it appears under Windows Vista. I consider it's a bug in new Aero Glass interface that works in 3D space using hardware accelleration (as we use same mode in v5.00's slide shows). We think to don't support this option anymore. Because no chance to provide work of this option under Windows Vista. It would be strange if it will work under Windows XP and will not work correctly under Windows Vista. What you think about this?
  16. No problem with produced AVI file or burned DVD-Video disc in PicturesToExe Deluxe. The problem may occur only in .EXE file with Hardware accelleration and "Vertical synchronization" of display mode. If you need you will able to produce .EXE files without "Vertical synchronization" option it will not have problem with gamma on some Radeon video cards. I hope that ATI will solve this problem in the new drivers. I'll remind them again and again.
  17. We're very grateful to all who helped us to make better Video Builder in PicturesToExe Deluxe! Also thanks to Stephen Newcomb who told about interesting idea - true linear Zoom as in life. p.s. we're working already several months on all modes with sound synchronization. It will be ready in the next beta #9 soon. Fred, now "Objects and animation" window doesn't require video card. And video can be rendered on any PC. As next step, we'll add this second graphical engine to slide show engine in beta #9
  18. We're working on sound synchronization and all related options right now. It will be in beta #9
  19. PicturesToExe Deluxe v5.00 beta #8 http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/apr-deluxe_beta.zip (4 MB) What's new in beta #8 + Fully reworked Wnsoft Video Builder. It creates fully DVD-Video compliant discs now. + Added "Perspective correction for Zoom" option for objects. See "Objects and animation" window. With this option enabled we simulate true movement of a camera to an object. + Rendering of video takes lesser time now (on slides where no Pan/Zoom/Rotate effects). + Added "Scale keypoints in objects (on time change)" option in properties of a slide, "Main" tab. This option useful if you have complex animation (with several keypoints) and you need to change slide time from 4 seconds to 12 seconds, for example. + You can customize double click in the Slide list: show Slide window or Objects and animation window. See main menu | View | Advanced options. * Fixed several bugs in the main program of PicturesToExe.
  20. Peter, We've started rewritting of this code and I'll send you new test version. If be honest, it will take at least two weeks. Please wait a little bit more. Thanks for your help and patience.
  21. Yes, speeds of Pan/Zoom/Rotate effects will be very powerful instrument.
  22. Unfortunately it's not our mistake. NVIDIA video cards don't have this problem. This problem happens only on ATI video cards. They just ignore gamma settings in fullscreen 3D mode that we use now for slide shows. I discussed very long time with ATI and they confirmed that this problem exists and they said me that they can't quickly solve it. Maybe only in new fully re-written drivers for Windows Vista. There will be two solution for this problem that we can suggest (in the nearest beta versions): 1) Use second CPU based graphical engine (that works like v4.48). But Pan/Zoom effect will work very slowely. (Project options of PicturesToExe) 2) Or use hardware accelleration, but without "Vertical synchronization of a display" option (in Project options of PicturesToExe). Pan effect in this mode will not look so ideally smooth as with vertical synchronization.
  23. I'm really sorry, Guido! But we had many unexpected difficulties. Aleksey and I - main programmers/developers of v5.00 Sergey is working on DVD Builder for PicturesToExe Deluxe. And two programmers (Pavel and Artem) are writing various parts of code for PTE.
  24. Road to final release of v5.00 Beta #8 Due to optimization rendering of video will work in 2 times faster for slide shows without Pan/Zoom effects. DVD Builder as part of PicturesToExe Deluxe almost ready. We solved all important problems with compatibility and now PicturesToExe Deluxe creates 100% compliant DVD-Video discs. Small improvements. Full compatibality with Windows Vista of main PicturesToExe. (Slide shows already fully compatible with Windows Vista) I should say that it was very difficult to fix various visual bugs. It's totally another Windows and I'm afraid many programs will have same problems. Beta #9 We fully finished second CPU based graphical engine which will be automatically used on PCs that don't have modern video cards. This second graphical engine works exactly with same speed and quality as v4.48 So Fade effect, Circle, Line, Hour hand and other effects work very well as usually and you will able to produce slide shows that work anywhere. Now we're working on all modes of sound synchronization and all related features. Also you will able to control show of slides (Left/Right key arrows). Windowed mode. Beta #10-11 - Navigation bar; - Buttons, hyperlinks, text objects with real shadow as in DVD Builder menu or in Adobe Photoshop; - Textured background; - Importing of objects from old v4.48 projects; - Support of EXIF rotated JPEGs; - Adjusting of speeds for Pan/Zoom/Rotate objects. And that's all - final release of v5.00 At this moment we hope that it will be ready in 2-3 months.
  25. Hans, Glad to see you again! I hope you'll like new v5.00 beta
