  1. Lin, OK! p.s. Are you already tried Fade effect for 199 ms. on each slide? It should gives excellent smoothness for your demo example.
  2. Dear Urmas, Thanks! I also just sent new a letter to ATI. Probably I'll receive the answer tomorrow.
  3. Thanks, Robert! I've asked Sergey to fix this bug. Urmas, (Sorry, I don't know your name!) Yes, this problem exists. Since 2004 drivers for ATI video cards don't support Windows Color Management in fullscreen Direct3D mode that we use for slide shows in v5.00 I read a lot of complaints on the forums. Your calibration software use Windows Color Management system. I discussed this problem with ATI but they don't want to change anything. Several days ago I also asked my friend in Microsoft and asked help me find a person with whom I could speak about this problem. Thanks for reminding, I'll write again to a known person from ATI. NVIDIA video cards don't have this problem. There are several ways of solution: 1) Use GDI graphical engine or not exclusive 3D mode for slide shows (both options will be available in the next beta 9 of v5.00). 2) Ask ATI to fully support Windows Color Management as they did earlier (up to 2004). I'm sorry about this problem, but I don't know what we can do more?
  4. Jack, Thanks, as I see slide show's engine can't read one parameter of slide show as it was damaged. 1) Please try to copy EXE files again to that 4nd PC and run again. 2) If it will not help, try to temporarily replace music file as Lazarus recommended you. If you use WMA, add MP3 music instead. 3) How other slide shows work on your PC? For example this: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/Light_of_the_Far_Worlds.zip
  5. Lin, I just checked up beta 8a and beta 8g and repeating always worked. Slide show engine exactly same in beta 8g and 8a. But 100ms. is too small interval. Try to set 1000 ms. will it solve the problem with repeating? Please make two EXE files (e.g. beta8a_OK.exe and beta8g_problem.exe) to illustrate this problem.
  6. Peter, Please let me know, do you hear "skips" or "stutterings" in music when you watch slide show or fullscreen preview of slide show created with v5.00 beta 5?
  7. I recommend you install and use latest v4.48 please open and create EXE file with slide show in v4.48 and let me know how it will work now. If it will not help, please upload EXE file with slide show. I'll download it and quickly solve this problem. It seems that it's combination of parameters that causes this error message. The good moment that slide show works without any error on any PC, or slide show has this error also on all PCs. Because of this please don't worry about other slide shows if they work fine on your PC.
  8. Peter, We use well known mpg123 MP3 decoder it should give very good quality independently from installed audio codecs on particular PC. Are you use equaliser in WinAmp/Windows Media Player? p.s. it seems that the problem described in this topic caused by drivers or hardware problem. Same problem with WinAmp + slide show without music. And with both sound engines - WaveOut and DirectSound.
  9. Thank you! Today I fixed this bug that happened in main program of PicturesToExe under Windows 98
  10. Not in v5.00 As we tested slide show works very slowely on secondary display. It seems that DirectX is not designed for this purpose.
  11. I just reproduced bug when AVI had only 58 seconds although it's 12 minute's slide show. Video Builder burned 12 minutes. Problem was with AVI only for not synchronized show. I'll fix it in the next beta.
  12. We'll try to solve this problem. If it happens with particular slide show only and all is OK with others. Please send to my colleague, Sergey, full ZIP backup of this slide show. It will help us to quickly find and solve this problem.
  13. Boogie, Yes, now you can totally disable all effects in global options or set Quick transition for individual slide. It was necessary because with random effects for usual effect we have effect duration (say 1.5 seconds) and 0 ms. of duration for Quick transition. In case of Pan/Zoom effects and Objects and animation window it gives logical problems.
  14. Robert, We just prepared beta 8f it solves that bug with old projects created in v4.48 (Serget wrote you a letter with additional details): http://www.wnsoft.com/test/apr-deluxe_beta8g.zip Concerning black thumbnails on DVD. It's not a bug, almost in all cases Video Builder gets right picture from beginning of a second slide. But you can choose any moment of slide show to display on this thumbnail. See "Select frame" button on the second page of Video Builder.
  15. Thanks, You posted to right section of the forum. All is OK, 1) What happens if you press Create button to produce EXE file with slide show. Does it work? 2) I prepared special test version, please download and install it: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/Beta8a_Var1.zip When you press Preview button you should see a series of message boxes (like "Point 1", "Point 2", etc.) Please let me know after what text message you'll see Access Violation error. It will help me to find exact place of the problem. 2) Try this example of slide show http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/Flowers.zip How it works on your PC?
  16. Peter, We prepared special test version (with new music player), please try it. Download and install to a new folder. http://www.wnsoft.com/test/MusicTest_Setup.exe You should hear soft pulsing sound in all created slide shows (instead music). Without any stutterings. If it works fine we'll continue work in this direction. And we'll make new music player for v5.00. Please let me know about result. For all: Please also try this special beta (install to a new folder) and please let me know do you hear pulsing sound without stuttering?
  17. We just prepared new beta 8e http://www.wnsoft.com/test/apr-deluxe_13-12-2006_updated.zip It fully solves that bug. Thank you for the help
  18. Tom, Thanks
  19. George, Please describe me in more details this problem with strange limitation to 52 seconds. 1) Does it stops when converting video of long slide show? 2) Burned DVD-Video disc contains only 52 seconds of video? 3) Same problem if you add .pte projects file or AVI to Video Builder? 4) Is there a problem if you create AVI file and add it to another DVD program, for example Ulead, Pinnacle?
  20. Dear Stéphane, There are two ways to fix the problem you found: 1) First solution you already used (make image a little larger at this keypoint) 2) Use even numbers for width/height of an image. In your case it should be 1280x854 (instead of 1280x853) And set "Cover" mode of the object. It will fully solve this problem.
  21. Kurt, It's not a bug. Current beta versions are not fully functional. The next beta 9 will be almost fully functional. Hans, For needs of Pan/Zoom/Rotate and right work of objects we should use relative sizes of images in v5.00 But you can set absolute size (global option) and make template that will be automatically used for new projects.
  22. Please don't worry, we'll fix this problem. Beta is beta and especially of new product (Video Builder).
  23. Hans, Really there was a bug with importing of old not synchronized slide show saved in previous v4.48 I fixed this bug in lastest beta 8. Al is also right - in new v5.00 time of slide includes duration of a transition effect. Yes, it easily possible in v5.00. Open Project options, Screen tab. Set checked "Disable scaling of main images" option and click "Set for existing slides" button to apply it for current slides. Now all current and all future slides will not be resized and shown as is. But I highly don't recommend this mode! There a lot of high resolution displays and your slide show will not look correctly. Also in v5.00 resizing of images looks a little better (more sharp) than in previous v4.48 So I recommend to use new mode suggested by default - proportional scaling of images.
  24. Gérard, Thanks for good idea with email validation! Please let me know how email notifications/subscriptions works now? I've reconfigured the forum.
