  1. "Why shouldn't Slide Options/Slide Duration automatically be adjusted to match what you set it during the timming??? Or, if there is a good reason not to make this automatic, perhaps there should be a check box next to 'Duration' to give you the choice?"Ask Igor - maybe I asked him privately about it during beta testing of the Video Feature - it was a long time ago. What did you search for? DG
  2. Gary, This subject was raised (by me) a Loooooong time ago. When you trim the video in O&A you need to MANUALLY reset the Full Slide Duration to equal the trimmed video time. However an easier way is to do the trim before adding to the slide list - during a conversion process. If you go back to the original video each time you need to do a modification you don't get the file name problem. Converting a converted video is likely to cause other problems. DG
  3. Thanks Judy - I have added that. Note that it only applies to O&A. Ctrl+T in the Main Window is "Create New Template". DG P.S. Igor apparently added the "Change Slide Duration" feature on 1/11/2013.

  5. Hi Carmelo, Apologies - I will try to remember to create the Italian Page when I create a new How To. It's done. DG

  7. Good to know Igor. DG
  8. The WNSOFT office is closed for a local holiday for a few days. DG
  9. Linzi, Here is a style based on the Video in post #10. Add (DRAG) five images into the Slide List - Import the Style and apply it to all five highlighted slides. If you want to apply it to more you need to add (drag) the images into the Slide List in groups of five as follows: 1;2;3;4;5;5;6;7;8;9;9;10;11;12;13 etc The fifth image is always repeated at the beginning of the next group of five. Each group of five images makes four slides after the style is applied. The Style does not set the BG for you - go to Project Options / Main Tab and set your BG there. To mimic the Video set something like Gradient and Medium Gray to Lighter Gray. DOM STYLE.ptestyle Here's a variation on the above Style: DOM STYLE 2.ptestyle Images are 3:2 in a 3:2 project. Here's a repeating EXE which demonstrates both styles: DOM STYLE.zip DG
  10. Click on any level in a parent / child "stack" and copy. All children of that level are also copied. Paste to the background and delete the level that you copied. DG
  11. Online Help: http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/video/addvid and http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/video/properties DG
  12. Mur, If you want to add another frame to the top of the stack just add an independent frame and copy/paste the original (complete with any child images) to it. Then delete the original. DG
  13. Lin, Add a child frame to the parent frame and reverse the offset with the Pan controls? Add images to the child. DG
  14. Shift+Mouse Click also works for a Frame. Wait until the pointer changes appearance before clicking. DG
  15. OK, I can add that. Thanks, DG P.S. On a general note, please note that the Online Help uses USA English (as does this forum) and searching on "CENTRE" produces a negative result, wheras searching on "CENTER" produces the correct result.
  16. You wouldn't normally apply a Style to a Blank Slide - it needs an Indexed Image to do what a Style is supposed to do. However you can do it - the next logical step is to use the drop down Menu to change the "TextWithSize....." to a valid Image with an Index and when this is done the Style operates successfully. It seems that Igor should protect us from oursleves? DG
  17. Well said Daniel!! However, some (obviously) find it easier to send friends DVDs in the mail rather than send Memory Keys. If they were to send out MP4 files on CD or DVD which could be transferred by the recipient to Memory Keys, would the recipient have sufficient knowledge to do this? How many people are fully aware that they can play MP4 on their TV via USB Memory Keys? There are still those who still do not have TVs with USB - are they fully aware that they can get a relatively cheap BR/BD Player which will almost inevitably have the USB facility and can be connected to most of the more modern (USB/less) TVs via HDMI? BR/BD Players also play standard DVDs and in most cases with better results than a Standard DVD Player. But without the HDMI Connection you are (to a certain extent) wasting your time and money. I think that we are still possibly low down on the learning curve and it might take a little time yet. I have been using USB for years but still get the family call - "Can't you put it on a DVD"? DG
  18. When opening Video Builder make sure that you are adding the current version of the PTE file to the project. Do the current project and the older project have different names? Are they saved in different locations? DG
  19. John, I don't know why it happened but I can offer an alternative way of doing it? Instead of BIZ use the TEMPLATE Function and ZIP the resulting Template. It gathers all of the necessary files and duplicates them in the Template Folder and the links are then to the Template folder and is/are transferrable between PCs. DG
  20. Never create DVD - I sometimes create ISO and use third party s/w to burn it. DG Amended post to clarify.
  21. There must be a few options left - if you look at the list of Hot Keys for the Slide List there should be a Ctrl+.......... option which is not in use. DG
  22. Point 10: We already have Ctrl+B for O&A and the Right Click Menu for the other two. Question: Is there such a command as "Ctrl+Double Click"? DG
  23. Gary, You didn't have to modify it. My original did it for you. The outer adjust gave you the adjustable border as per your original request? To save a style - Tools / create. DG
  24. Thanks jt, I'm fully aware of why J-C used the "view" word - I was suggesting to him that he might use the "Slide" which is the Standard in the English version. I happen to agree that the use of "slide" is "old-fashioned" but it has been in use for this application in AV circles for quite a long time. Hence we have Slide Shows and Audio Visuals and J-C has the Diaporama. Using "Slide" in the English Forum will ensure a greater understanding across the variety of nationalities represented in the Forum who all try their best to cope with the idiosyncracies of the English Language. Best wishes, DG
