  1. You don't press the right arrow. You click on the object to which you have applied the link. DG
  2. If you can convert the EXE files to MP4 you can include the MP4 as a slide and not have to "leave" the presentation. To do this you will need the original Project File to create the MP4. Publish Show / HD Video. If you only have the EXE files, look at the "Action on Mouse Click" Options in Objects and Animation / Common Tab. http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/objects-and-animation/common_tab The EXE files will, depending on which option you choose, need to be created with the same version as the show you are creating. Latest version is 8.0.17: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?/topic/17226-picturestoexe-8/ DG
  3. Updated the article: Project Options/Default Tab to include the "Cover Slide" option. http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/project-options/defaults_tab DG
  4. Anyone out there using a Kingston Mobilelite with an iPad?? I recently updated the Software and Hardware on both my iPad and my Kindle. I have now found that MP4 Files will not STREAM properly from the Mobilelite to the iPad (Video great - NO SOUND). When transfered to the iPad via the Mobilelite they play with sound OK. The same files will Stream from the Mobilelite to the Kindle with no problems - Video and Sound. If anyone can test this I would be grateful. DG
  5. Ray, See Igor's reply below. DG
  6. As I said earlier the Mobilite "gizmo" is not essential. You can do all that you need to do through iTunes but it means that you need your pc/mac to do it. I seem to remember that there is a card reader accessory lead for the iPad? But the Mobilite gizmo is not just for iPad. It works with any tablet and whilst it will allow easy, wireless transfer of files both ways its beauty is that it will stream data (video etc) without cluttering up the already small disc space that you have. I use mine with both the iPad and my Kindle. Simple. DG
  7. Use your USB lead to charge the Mobilite first. You can either plug into a PC or better still use a standard 3 pin charger - the one for your iPad will do it. BTW, be aware that for transfering files to the iPad from the Mobilite the iPad needs 50% or better charge. Better still, if possible, connect the iPad to its charger when transferring Download the latest Mobilite Software. DG User Manual: http://www.kingston.com/en/support/technical/products?model=mlw221
  8. I think that you just add a folder in iTunes and it Synch's it. After that you use any app to play the video. I created folders for images, video, pdf, music etc that way on my wife's iPad. I will take look and get back to you. However, video takes a lot of space and streaming from the Mobilite is great. Get a 16 gb memory key and keep it for video plugged into the Mobilite. DG
  9. At this time, what it is called is irrelevant. What Igor has asked is what we think about the change that he has made. For my part I could accept either name, but I think that there is a conflict when "Window Mode" is used. The name issue perhaps deserves its own thread? DG
  10. Ray, Two methods: Via iTunes you synchronise a folder(s) on your pc with the iPad wirelessly or by usb. Easier still you can buy a Kingston Mobilite which allows you to transfer all sorts of files both ways wirelessly. You can also play / view files wirelessly from a card inserted into the device without having to do the transfer. The Mobilite is also useful or getting images from your iPad's Camera Roll on to your pc. Great device which works with any tablet. You can stick a card from your camera into it and view jpegs immediately "in the field". DG P.S. it will also recharge your phone
  11. Take a look at the Online Help File. HELP Link above. DG
  12. Try a complete uninstall using the PTE uninstaller. Then re-install from scratch. If you are asked for the serial, enter it. DG P.S. go to help/ about and make sure that you have not opened a different version by mistake?
  13. Al, If you leave "Cover Slide" un-ticked in Project Options it will not bother you. The advantage of it is that the new user can put any ar image into a show and will not be "put off" by the background coloured lines/strips. DG
  14. Igor, Everything works OK. I had to disable my Default Template to get the PTE Default Aspect Ratio - as a check. I would prefer to see a choice of "Fit" or "Cover" in Project Options / Defaults/ Main Image for new slides. Perhaps others will comment? DG
  15. No problem. DG
  16. In O&A / Properties - MUTE. "The Audio of a Video Clip can be added to an Audio Track and the Envelope can then be applied to it. Add the Video Clip by dragging into the Slide Line and then, in Objects and Animation/Properties Tab, Mute the Audio of the Video Clip." DG
  17. Mur, In the Online Help: Project Options/ Audio Tab/ Add the audio of a video...... Audition, Audacity etc. is not required for this? Use the envelope in the Timeline. DG
  18. In addition to what Peter said, try to match the resolution of the MP4 to the screen resolution of the Tablet.
  19. My way of looking at it - as I look at new cameras etc...... While you are waiting for V9 you could be enjoying some of the GREAT new features of V8!! There will be an upgrade path if the time between purchase and new version is greater than X Months but if it arrives soon you probably will get a free upgrade anyway. DG
  20. This Style creates a Hyperlinked Menu for 40 Slides in a Manual Control Show. The Menu is numbered and has thumbnails of the 40 Images used to create the Project. Clicking on a Thumbnail accesses the corresponding Slide. Each slide has an invisible link in the bottom left corner which takes you back to the Menu. Left or Right Clicking on the main body of the slide takes you to Next or Previous Slide. Limitations - do not use images which are of a larger resolution than the resolution of the Project unless absolutely necessary i.e. for zooming etc. The Style was designed for static images but animation can be added if required, after applying the Style. Optimum Project size is 16:9 (1920x1080) therefore images should be 1080 high and any Aspect Ratio. Add 40 images to the Slide List - Import the Style and apply to all 40 slides. Comp Menu.ptestyle DG Also posted in response to this thread here
  21. Updated the article Slide Options / Main Tab / Advanced Options for greater clarity. http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/slide_options/slide_options_main DG
  22. The following attached Style will satisfy the requirements of a "Match a Slide Competition" and can also be used in a General Competition. It is optimised for 40 Images/Slides in a 16x9 Project with a numbered menu which includes thumbnails. Add 40 (no more - no less) Images by dragging into the Slide List. The Images should all be no more than 1080 pixels high but can be any Aspect Ratio - the Menu Slide uses the full resolution images to create the Thumbnails and if the images are any bigger than 1080 pixels high problems might occur with some laptops with integrated Graphics Cards. Import and apply the Style and run in Preview or create an EXE. From the Menu click on a thumbnail to display the corresponding Image/Slide. Click on the bottom left corner of the slide to return to the Menu. If used in a General Competition the left and right mouse buttons are configured to display next and previous slides. I have tried this on two different PCs and it works OK - if anyone can find any issues I will try to solve them - but it works for me. Comp Menu.ptestyle DG
  23. Does this only happen with your own exe? Does it happen with all of your own exe's? Does it happen with an exe downloaded from Slideshowclub? Are all of your images, audio files etc in the same folder? (Preview only). Are the exe files and project files on a usb drive? DG
  24. Best way!! DG
  25. This was mentioned here a long time ago. It needed to be mentioned again, perhaps. DG
