  1. Hi Derek, I do not think Prashant visits this forum anymore, he was last active nearly 4 years ago according to his profile pages and his email link states private. regards ralph
  2. Hello Derek, Another good show thank you. So much history, so many jobs lost. The music fitted well (was it Jimmy Nail?). I really liked the photography and I especially liked the silhouettes and in particular the last slide/photograph was brilliant and the fade out perfectly chosen to end a really good show. The size of some of those rigs to take away cranes etc are amazing, quite a feat to dismantle the yard I would imagine. Thank you for posting as ever regards Ralph
  3. Hi Derek, As Mick said, there are some great photo's and I so hope I make it to India someday soon. Keep posting your shows please regards ralph
  4. Hello Ray, I really enjoyed your show. As I stated in my remarks about Eric's show, we owe so much to all concerned. I really liked your voice over, your tone of voice was in my view really melancholy and lend-ed itself perfectly to the story. I also like the fact that I did not feel as if I were being taught to or preached to, your voice was perfect for giving me that feeling. Did you write the script? it was really well written and I hung onto every word. I can tell that you have put allot of work into this show so well done and I really hope you get more positive remarks as we seem not to get many here, unlike the French sites. I look for ward to seeing more from you, I will send you a PM about me saving and with your permission showing this to other people. Thank you for posting Ray regards Ralph .
  5. Thank you for the link Eric, it s good to see what other people are doing. regards ralph
  6. Hi Eric, What about the stairs that take your weary body to bed or is that classified?? Seriously, enjoyed the photography and the subject and glad you are putting your toes into the latest PTE version. I would also love to view the winning photograph in your camera clubs competition re "stairs" if thats possible please, posted on flickr or sent via email. Keep producing Eric regards Ralph
  7. Hi Geoff, people are leaving messages, they seem (like myself) to be having problems with unlocking, apparantly the codes are not working for some, shame really as it appears quite good. I do sometimes try these things, ie, download, then try, if I think I cant use it I just uninstall, tried with this but my code would not work regards ralph
  8. I agree with Ken on this and have done from the start and have had emails from others who think the same. ralph
  9. Hi Eric, Im sure the residents will enjoy the sequences come october, seems so far away but time will pass quickly. "Just something to keep my hand in until the photography season begins". Does not stop Eric, Ive been out four times this week, come on now, wrap up and get out there lol. regrads ralph
  10. Hello Derek, I really enjoyed your sequence, absolutely brilliant. I found that I was really looking forward to the next slide, the zooms I thought were good, its a way of leading someone into a photo and one never knew what was going to be shown. It was great to be entertained in that way, instead of watching some boring predictable documentary like sequence. Im sure some of the old "way back when" street photographers like Kishan and the more recent Babla Paul and people like Callahan, the great Klien, Helen Levitt, Gary Winogrand & Elliot Erwitt would of been thrilled to bits if they had taken some of your shots. I hope you remain fresh in your outlook and Im really hoping Derek that you do not have to present this to some archaic camera club type of judging, and that you can be yourself and not asked to produce run of the mill sequences where you have to have it "like this " or "like that". To sum up Derek, fantastic, refreshing, entertaining, great soundtrack, loved the zooms, far better than most of us did on a first attempt and cant wait to see something else from you, so please be "yourself" regards Ralph

  17. Barry, I agree also that permission should be sought, as happens I recently asked Almark if I could use his show in the future, and Mark did not hesitate in saying yes. My mother was a very strict ' Yorkshire Lass' and we always had to say 'Please' its common courtesy surely. Ralph

  22. Hi Eric, Short and sweet. I could spend a month in and around Hull here in east yorkshire taking photo's of 'Decay' but the city gets that much stick in the press so my wife does not think it a good idea. But im sorely tempted and I think If I do it ill add some sort of artistic element and definately think hard when composing the shots. You have inspired me so its now on the 'To do' List thanks for posting ralph
