  1. Hi Dom, Great artistic mind. PTE is by far the best ever. Although I know already that the purists at my camera club will baulk at this show, but who said PTE is aimed purely at photographers and camera clubs, its guys like this who make PTE what it is and allow people like me to enhance my own humble sequences and make the most of this superb software. Ralph
  2. Hi Mark, I really like the re-work, the photography under the conditions you were in is good, I love the "John Dunbar" theme, beautiful choice. regards Ralph
  3. Barry, Just watched England lose to south africa in the 20/20, so not laughing but your post really made me laugh, thanks. Some camera club rules are a joke. I still say outside judges are the best way to go about things. ralph
  4. Hi Igor, cant wait for the full version, great work as usual, thanks to all concerned. Regards ralph
  5. Hi Eric, Experience shows you really do need a judge who is not biased, someone from outside. At our club I know favoritism kicks in big time. I am fortunate to have won competitions, purely because of my work within photoshop, as I believe I am the most experienced at using photoshop within our club. I have had rave reviews for my sequences at our annual show which is open to the public, but equally had no success at some of the photography competitions because of a judges old time view. Please remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder so as you are no doubt well aware we all have our favorites, be it, photo's, sequences, prints, slides, digital work and of course people/members, so I favour an outside judge and then everyone has an equal chance. Please also be aware of the judge who has been busy judging competitions, because he might just of seen a sequence entered in another competion. We had an occasion where a judge gave 20 out of 20 for a photo at another club, that club in question were in competition with our club a couple of days later and they submitted the same photos including the one which recieved 20 out of 20, now the judge had seen this photo and therefore could not give it any lower marks so guess who one? So maybe choose sequences that have not been entered into any other competions, just in case. Regards Ralph
  6. Hi davy, What stunning photos, and in a week where 65 years since D Day is being remembered, differant war but very fitting. And also not to mention one of only 2 british survivors of the great war who turned 113 years of age this week as seen on british television. Thanks Davy, these great men and woman should always be remembered and I as a "young 54 year old shall always pay my respects every year to the very brave souls who fought for king and country. Thanks so much for sharing and reminding us how much we owe every single one who fought for freedom on our behalf. Regards ralph

  22. Such beautiful settings and as usual the wildlife are such a fantastic subject matter. I admired the photography and your use of masks did not put me off at all, I kept glued to the screen. IMHO brilliant and thanks for allowing us to view such beautiful creatures in natural habitat. Ralph
  23. Personally I dont care what the RPS think about sequences. As you have found out for yourself they do not do to much anyway in this area. Most camera/AV clubs do things that suit them. If one were to view the many websites that belong to people who use PTE (just google "PTE" or "picstoexe") you will find hundreds of sequences out there. Some of the best ones are produced in France, Italy, Holland, as well as osme here in the UK. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, not some group of people who are members of the RPS, the majority of people are not members of the RPS anyway. I would suggest the Irish links though, superb to say the least and I cant find anyone from the RPS saying the same. Beechbrook is the best place to view sequences of a mixed variety and then one is able to make up their own mind as to what standard to achieve, IMHO of course and no offense meant to the RPS who IMHO are noticed by there absence on and within this forum. Also I believe that the gents and ladies who are senior/advanced members on this forum are the best to point anyone in the right direction re standars. Ralph
  24. Hi Mark Thank you so much for the extra information, I agree about the four minutes, absolute bliss. Ralph
