  2. It happens again and again. The original poster asks for a particular feature, here "Text size". It might be helpful to present lots of workarounds, but they should be posted in seperate topics! Otherwise, the original topic looses its way.

  4. Thanks Jill,. I shall have a play with this. It doesn't stop me from hoping for the option to set a text size though. I shall live in hope. Rosemary
  5. Hi Rosemary, I understand what you mean about keeping all the Text the same throughout a Show. If you are using a lot of Text, I find it best to type it out in something like Word first. That way you also have a Spellchecker. If you know that you can get say 15 lines of Text on one Slide, then simply add Blank Lines to each section, so that you always have 15 Lines. Then you can just copy those 15 lines needed for a Slide & Paste it directly into PTE. That way it will always be the same size. To make sure all the Lines are aligned then set the Text Object to be Left adjusted & set the Center Point to -100. Your Pan X is then set to say -90 and you know that all of your Text will start & be aligned to the same position. Do this before you add any actual Words You then just copy & Paste from Word for each Slide needed. Maybe set up a standard set of 15 lines - doesn't matter what it actually says. Add this to Slide 1 & then using the Quick Slide Style, Apply this Sample Text to all the others you need - It is then done in one go. You then can quickly change the actual words by Copy & Paste from your Word doc Quite quick really. Hope this helps Jill
  6. Hi Jill, Thank you for getting back to me. Thank you for the tip about copying the text object in O&A. I tend to use a lot of text, usually a slide worth to explain what or where we were. I find that after a few years I forget where the picture is from or about! I feel that if the text isn't the same size throughout the show, it looks untidy. The intro and credits can be different text or size but the main body text, I feel, should be uniform just like a book or newspaper text. I long for the day when one can just select a size for the text and that is it - no copying and pasting needed. Thanks again Jill, Rosemary
  7. You don't copy & paste the Slide with Text, just the Text Object in O&A. At least with this method you are certain to keep the same Font, Shadow & colour throughout the show. I don't find it a problem. But then I mainly only use Text for a Title & end Credits. And each of these would be a different size anyway. I never look at the Zoom size & just drag the Text to the size that looks right on the image. The ability to easily use a different colour or Font for some characters in a word or line, without having to create a separate Text Objects would be much more useful. I have recently needed to create a line where the first letter of each word was a different colour & size took much longer as they all had to be separate Text Objects. And keeping the spacing correct, especially if there is animation was difficult. Jill
  8. I think, we already have a parameter for text size that is compatible with PTE's object model: It is just the Zoom value of a single line. Of course there is a problem. If we add additional lines and change the Line spacing, the "text size" does not show up any more. My suggestion: There should be an additional box (beside Alignment and Line spacing in the text object's Properties) showing the corresponding Zoom value for a single line. One may call it "text size". So, entering some lines of text, the value for Line spacing and the Text size would (automatically) determine the text's Zoom value.
  9. Hello, I’d like to make a request for the new version: if possible, could you add a couple of options to the Watermark section? I think it would be useful to have a new section that lets you specify when to start and stop displaying the watermark. Most of the time, at least in my case, I usually place an introductory video—or what’s called an “Intro”—at the beginning of the project, so it’s preferable not to show the watermark while that Intro is playing. I know another option is to place an image as a watermark on the second slide and then copy it to the rest of the slides one by one, but of course, when there are a lot of slides, that method is a bit… Thank you.

  10. Hi, I have a project with two slides. I tried adding a transition, and then added another one at the end. But when I save the project or export it, I see that the file is much larger, and I noticed it creates a folder with the video files containing the transition I tested. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but this also happens in version 11. When the project is saved, shouldn’t it only save the footage actually used in the project? Thanks.

  12. Is the ability to choose a font size and maintain it throughout the show going to be available in PTE AV Studio 12? At present one has to copy and paste the original slide and delete its text and replace it with the new text. I find it unwieldy especially in such a sophisticated program. Rosemary

  15. Hello, I’d like to make a request to see if these features can be included in this version. Copy properties from a keyframe; be able to select a keyframe, and from the mouse drop-down menu, have a “Copy Properties” option, so that you can then select one or more keyframes and “Paste Properties.” I know there’s a clone function, but I think having this option is faster than duplicating keyframes and moving them to the right place. Thank you
  16. I wonder if this is similar to a feature I had asked about some time ago. The video show program I was using prior to PTEAV had a "normalize" button to account for different volumes in the various music clips I would put into the music track of whatever show I was creating. I am sure you can probably do the same thing with Audacity or some other similar audio program but having a one-step normalize option within PTEAV would be a nice feature.
  17. Given that streaming channels all have different loudness requirements and use specific LUFS settings, a way of setting the overall mix in PTE to a specific LUFS value would be useful. A global volume control (as in one that affects all the mix ) would be helpful and I guess this could be part of a LUFS setting option. I know you can set your sound tracks in Audacity, for example, to a specific LUFS setting but I do most of my final mixing and editing in PTE. I have been also looking at the free packages, Youlean and Orban for measuring LUFS - perhaps these tools could somehow be interfaced to PTE?
  18. Hi Everyone, Please don't forget to check out my Game Music Mega Pack...it has over 1400 tracks (looping and standard) and is growing all the time. Users receive weekly updates as I add new tracks and expand the library. Here's the link: https://soundimage.org/ogg-game-music-mega-pack/ That said, this week's brand new free-to-use-with-attribution music track is: THE BOG OF DOOM – (Looping) You can listen to it here: https://soundimage.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/The-Bog-of-Doom.ogg And download it here: https://soundimage.org/fantasy-13/ CUSTOM MUSIC FOR YOUR PROJECTS Need some custom music created special? Feel free to contact me here: https://soundimage.org/custom-work/ Here's an example of a custom track I recently completed for a game trailer. I also created the in-game music. https://store.steampowered.com/app/4179990/Agromatic/ Enjoy, and as always, please stay safe. 🙂
  19. Hi Mark, JPEG-XL support is in our plans, not sure about V12. Do you have a lot of these images or only a few? Interesting fact: JPEG format is much better suited for PTE AV Studio because it includes amazing optimization. When displaying a reduced size version of an image, such as thumbnails for the Slide List, images for a mini-player, or fullscreen previews/EXE show on a low-resolution monitor (1920x1080), the JPEG decoder loads the image in 3-4x times faster than a fullsize image. It works only for classical JPEG.
  20. Will jpg xl be supposed in this version?
  21. Zibi, To our great regret, the author of this work, like others no less interesting, has passed away. RIP
  22. It is a de facto reality that we now have to do without the .exe files of yesteryear, making MP4 video the only viable path forward. Therefore, as expressed in another post, I remain perplexed by the impossibility of providing the program with more tracks video/images—as for example possible in Fotomatico. There are far too many audio tracks, yet a lack of flexibility elsewhere (again video( images). I believe I will skip version 12, also because—as previously posted—it is a serious anomaly not to have Video Optimizer included within the program. These are incomprehensible choices, but then again: de gustibus. Ghulya
  23. Hello, I really like your show. I'm a fan of this style. I had the first version of this style, but it disappeared somewhere. My request, could you re-post the first version? I will be grateful, best regards - Zibi
  24. I really like the idea of multiple slide/object tracks. We've already written some of the code. One of the most important ideological questions is slide duration and transition duration. You can already see (V11) the difference in the timing concept for slides and audio clips - they are calculated differently. I'd like to discuss this topic after the release of V12.
  25. That's a good idea. Let me think about it.
  26. Multiple image Tracks were asked for a long time ago & have been worked towards for equally as long. It is not that the programming itself is complicated, but that it changes the whole way in which PTE will work It is far more than just adding in extra code, the whole structure will need to change. I am not involved with the development of PTE, but I can fully appreciate what is involved it trying to do this. It is a major rewrite of the basic code. To enable existing Projects to still work will be even more complicated. PTE is extremely powerful as it is, you can do so much in O&A. But some things require a bit more effort from the user. Adding in extra image tracks may make some things easier to do, especially for beginners. But we still need to retain the power & flexibility of O&A. Jill
  27. Hi, I’ve already asked about this in another post, and they directed me here. I see now that it’s not good news; I was hoping that, given how much gameplay potential those timelines offer, they would be included in this update. I understand that programming can be complicated, and as more features are added over time, it can become even more complicated, Since it seems like more people are asking for it, I thought this would have been considered a long time ago to make this leap in this version
  28. Georges, I really appreciate your comment! Thanks and good luck . Best Alex
