  1. PTE 10.5. If I right click on a video in full screen file list there is a convert/trim video clip option but it does not seem to do anything? It is the same on Mac and Windows. I can still convert/trim in the normal file list. Thanks, Tom
  2. Just a quick note on Mac audio. The Mac has many audio input and output channels that can be mixed together. I am using Big Sur and the new M1 silicon Mac mini. I think I finally have the missing audio screen recording issue resolved after watching this video and installing 2 ch Blackhole virtual audio driver. Now Quicktime Player screen recorder is capturing the audio. Audio Hijack might be another option but Blackhole is free and was easy to install and configure. https://existential.audio/blackhole/ Thanks, Tom
  3. Hi Rosy, Great video quality. I like TP-Link products. We have 3 indoor cats but they have an enclosed Catio (Patio for Cats). Thanks, Tom
  4. Hi Igor, Good to know. Also, if there is a directory path in front of the filename does PTE first look in that directory, then if it does not find the file, also look in the current working directory? I try to remember to remove the path in front of filename but not sure if that is required? Thanks, Tom
  5. Only noticed during testing Menu compatibility between Mac and Windows. Easily fixed by renaming the .pteav file or moving it to a different directory. Thanks, Tom
  6. I noticed that Windows PTE AV Studio created slideshows (Executable File for PC) checks for a .pteav of the same name before looking inside itself for .pteav data. For instance, if I have test1.exe (created with Executable File for PC) and test1.pteav (created with Show for Mac) it will play the contents of test1.pteav (might not contain the same media as test1.exe) if they are both in the same folder. Maybe PTE AV Studio only has one type of player which may or may not be integrated with data, so it defaults to searching for a .pteav file first? Maybe just normal behavior? Thanks, Tom
  7. I'm not sure if this is how it works for everyone else but on both Windows and Mac I just use "Run Slideshow With Return" and point to the .pteav file. It seems to work fine. I'm guessing it just uses the same player in memory instead of loading a new copy. Thanks, Tom
  8. Thanks everyone. I know the name is kind of misleading. Maybe I should have made two versions, inflate and deflate. So many variations possible of a simple theme. Tom
  9. Hi Smithrg, The transition editor makes it easy to create transitions and it's fun to experiment. Thanks, Tom
  10. I'm sure others have created such a transition but it is fun to experiment. The outer buttons are 100% opacity and inner buttons are variable opacity. Created on Mac, tested on Windows. 16:9 aspect ratio. Images from pixabay.com. Thanks, Tom Balloon.pteeff
  11. Welcome Jacques, I think this will help. https://docs.pteavstudio.com/en-us/10.0/customtransition/main?s[]=transitions#import_custom_transitions Thanks, Tom
  12. Thanks everyone. It's a very simple transition compared to most other custom transitions. I have added 4 corner diagonal transitions in this version. Probably many other variations possible with a little imagination. Tom Stretch 2.pteeff
  13. Very simple transition. Sorry if someone else already posted. Created on Mac and tested on Windows. 16:9 Format. Media from pixabay.com. Thanks, Tom Stretch.pteeff
  14. I was using the Windows version but the Mac user interface is identical. Mac and Windows projects are compatible. The performance of the Mac M1 version is fantastic. Kudos to the developers. Thanks, Tom
  15. Interesting. There are two other apps I have never used. Maybe you have Wine or CrossOver installed? For me the file CHESS.zip extracts to CHESS.exe. CHESS.exe will extract out to a 0 byte % file. Another unsolved mystery. Tom
  16. Hi Henri, The PTE transition editor is amazing. So many different transitions are possible. Thanks, Tom
  17. If you can play the .exe on an Intel processor Mac then you are probably using either 1) Bootcamp 2) VMWare Fusion 3) Parallels. It might be possible in the future Igor could associate .exe files with the PTE AV Player and it would automatically extract the .pteav/.ptshow data. Definitely great slideshow of 3D animation. Thanks, Tom
  18. Hi MUR, Amazing 3D. Thanks, Tom
  19. 16x9 Variation on Flip 3D. Created on Mac and tested on Windows. Nothing special. Just practicing using a mask. Thanks, Tom Flipper.pteeff
  20. I know that it's possible but it's not as simple as Windows screen recording. Part of the problem is M1 software compatibility. Besides screen recording this is also a problem with Mac remote desktop audio. When I remote desktop into my Windows PC I can hear audio. When I remote desktop into my Mac there is no audio. Sure, there are software solutions to this problem like Airfoil, but they are add ons and usually cost extra. Thanks, Tom
  21. I tried to watch on my Mac but inside the zip container file is a single .exe instead of a "Safe Executable File for PC". Without a separate data file (.pteshow/.pteav) the show is not viewable on Macs. If you want as many viewers as possible to watch a slideshow then I think the "Safe Executable File for PC" method is currently the only method. In the future I hope Windows has the same PTE AV Player capability (installed as a separate app and file association) as the Mac version. The other option might be some sort of decompiler that can extract .ptav files from .exe slideshows, but that sounds complicated. Thanks, Tom
  22. I agree. I think the Wnsoft team of programmers have done an amazing job. Many other Apple developers are still working on updating their software to run native ARM code on Apple silicon (not via Rosetta 2). https://appleinsider.com/articles/21/03/18/apple-nailed-the-transition-to-m1-apple-silicon-why-are-so-many-mac-developers-blowing-it Tom
  23. Very nice. The Album style is one of my favorites. I wish Album was available as a transition so it would work with longer videos. I know the person who created it is very busy. Maybe in the future if we are lucky. Thanks, Tom
  24. I like my Mac but screen audio recording can be difficult compared to a Windows PC. The latest version of ChromeOS has screen recording but so far nothing I have tried compares to a good Window screen recorder. Sometime I want to try an external HDMI recorder like Atomos Ninja V (for camera and PC recording). https://www.atomos.com/products/ninja-v Tom
  25. Rosy, Still waiting for my first jab. Like you I have an older version of Camtasia. Still works but screen recording is limited to 30 fps. Barry, Short explanation is jack of all trades, master of none. Long explanation is that like many of us, I have been playing with computers for many years. I tend to accumulate hardware and software. Tom Update: 21 March 2021. I just checked and Camtasia 8.6 still works with Windows 10 latest Insider Preview Edition. Version 10.0.21337 Build 21337
