Peter, I'll try to reply on your initial question raised in this topic. Please excuse me if I didn't understood rightly this subject. Windowed mode without borders: We set size of window exactly as user pointed. But if screen size is smaller, we have to reduce size of window proportionally to keep aspect ratio of a slide. Windowed mode with borders: For example, if you set 1280 x 720 we create a window which internal part is exactly 1280 x 720. But total size of window is larger due to borders and caption. If screen size is smaller than total size of our window, we have to reduce a size of this window proportionally to keep aspect ratio of a slide. We can not set external size of window with border. Because it's incorrect. A tickness of border and caption vary depending of version of Windows and settings of user. It will cause appearing of black strips around picture. I agree with Xaver's comment: There is an alternate option. In the Project options > Screen tab choose "Fullscreen" mode. Set checked "Fixed size of slide (in pixels)". It will give your fixed size of a slide on screen and black strips around a picture.

Thanks, Gary! I confirm this bug in both versions 7.0.7 and 7.5 Beta. I just reproduced this situation.

Maybe it's the influence of a magnetic storm. Also yesterday was a full moon. I also feel irritable and do not feel very well. Can't do anything already two days. http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/news/science/article3951520.ece

Peter, Executable file has only one main icon. If you assign a custom icon file, the "default" icon is never included. It can be a bug in Windows. Windows use cache of icons and probably in case of similar file names it can return "old" icon from another file with same name. Try to press F5 or restart Windows. Also try to rename EXE file and create again the shortcut. Click right mouse button on the shortcut > Properties > check Icon settings.

Lin, Thanks for letting me know about this file format. It seems to be an usual H.264 video. I'll add this format to a list of known-formats in PicturesToExe. Please send me a short sample file.

Anyway, this place in PicturesToExe was completely re-designed in next version 7.5. I'll glad to hear your opinions on the new design (when we publish Beta 1).

Beta 1 of version 7.5 will be published on the next week.

I think that current implementation of text comments is not ideal. A new user can quickly type a text in the Text comment field on the top toolbar on the main window. But he don't see a way where to adjust a font or move a text caption. I can't recall exactly, but as I remember, in all shows which I watched there were no text comments. A typical show has several text captions added manually as Text objects in the Objects and animation editor. I understand that Text comments in current version are useful in certain cases. Especially if you use text macros in the Project options. But they are not intuitive. Also this rarely used feature (as I guess) clutters the interface of the main window. In version 7.5 we did re-design of PicturesToExe and I'm not satisfied with Text comments field on the main window. I have two possible solutions: A. Remove Text comment field by default. But you can turn it on again in the Preferences window -> Customize toolbars. Suggest to new users use Objects and animation editor to add text comments. B. Alternate solution. Move Text comment field to a new tab in the Customize slide window + add a font settings and text position on a slide. I need to know your opinion.
