  1. Lin, Gary, This is possibly now irrelevant but I think that I have discovered why your video demonstration worked and Gary might not have been able to get it to work. If you accept the default zoom ratio for the Timeline then you are not able to see all four clips at the same time - correct? In this scenario when you click and drag from the beginning of the first clip then all clips are moved without overlapping/crossfading. HOWEVER, if you change the Zoom Ratio for the Timeline to be able to see all clips at the same time it becomes impossible to move the first clip without creating a crossfade between clips one and two. At least that's my observation. Another observation: By adding/linking multiple audio files to a single slide (in the same track) it is impossible to overlap/crossfade them in a single track. HOWEVER, if the multiple audio files are added to different tracks and then linked to a single Slide they can then be overlapped/crossfaded by means of the Fader "handles" and still move in sync with the slide to which they are linked. 2. Does it have to be AV as we traditionally know it? Photographers need a way of presenting their best work (unconnected images) either with music and narrative or in a manual show where they describe location, exposure, equipment etc. Some make the transition to Traditional AV, others don't. What matters is that they are using PTE and not PSG and that the show is a good experience for the viewer/audience. Could there be a category on slideshowclub for such a show? DG
  3. Mike, Add the Audio of the Video as an Audio Track and then you can apply an envelope to it as you would to an MP3 Audio Track. http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/techniques/addvid2#adding_the_audio_of_a_video_clip_to_an_audio_track DG
  4. Gary, MOV files will not play on Kindle so that tends to suggest that all Android Tabs will not play them. DG
  5. I wonder what would happen if you used something like the Kingston Mobilite as a "buffer" between the tablet and the ntfs key. All that the tablet would "see" is the Kingston and not what it is reading (perhaps)??? DG
  6. Hi Robert, Yes, it is a useful piece of kit. DG
  7. If mp4 will not play from a memory key it would very interesting to know why? I forgot to add that I play mp4 wirelessly from either a memory key or an sd card using a Kingston Mobilelite device. DG
  8. Gary, Quickpic seems to work well on a Kindle (Android) - but it could be a Samsung problem. I always use the PTE Presets. DG
  9. We have a little book over here called "First Aid in English". It assumes that you can spell properly and teaches correct usage of the language. It would be nice if that could be incorporated along with a Spelling Checker and a Thesaurus and an English to USA English/French/Italian etc converter. DG
  10. Mur, Can you play mpeg4 on your tv? Assuming that your images are ok and you have prepared your project correctly for Videobuilder, then the quality of your DVD player could be less than optimal. The ideal player for acceptable results is an upscaling or blueray player connected to the tv by hdmi cable. Describe your system? DG
  11. MUR, Untick everything other than ISO and try to burn the ISO. Then, as Tom said, try to play the ISO in MPC. Then try to burn the ISO using something like Roxio. DG
  12. Done.
  13. OK Carmelo. Later this morning? DG
  14. Ray, There is a lttle info in the Help File which might be relevant: http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/video/addvid#convert_video DG
  15. NX-D is Nikon's "replacement" for CNX-2 and is a pure RAW converter without the NIK refinements. NIK was (and still is) not related in any way to Nikon. The NIK refinements which were built into CNX2 are now available as the "Google NIK Collection" of Plug-ins. CNX2 will continue to work on PC until W8 is replaced. All cameras released from the D810 onwards are not supported by CNX2 - NX-D can be used for the D810 onwards. As a RAW converter it gives full support for all in-camera functions and has added some of the new functions available in the D810. These new functions are now available for all Nikon DSLR NEF files back to the D70. DG
  16. Just to clarify what Lin has said: It is possible to open Version 8 Projects in Version 7.5 or earlier albeit with a warning message regarding incompatibilities. But if your Version 8 project contains none of the new features of Version 8 it should be editable and will run OK. Make a Copy clearly marked "Version 8" before opening the original in Version 7.5 or earlier and you will have something to revert back to in case of incompatibility problems. DG
  17. I think that your e-mail address will allow you to get the upgrade price?? DG
  18. Dan, My experience with the Sony MD units is that they all (?) have Optical Outputs. My MZ-R50 certainly has. By using an Optical to USB A/D Converter you do not need an external sound card and can go straight to Audition etc without touching a Sound card. Edirol UA-1D: http://www.roland.com/products/en/UA-1D/ You could achieve the same results with this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Behringer-UCA222-U-Control-Ultra-Low-Interface/dp/B0023BYDHK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407927028&sr=8-1&keywords=behringer+222+usb ....if you don't have an optical output on the recorder. 19. Hi Claudio, Here is a "Half-Dodecahedron" for you to play with. I do not have the time to complete it right now but I will come back to it later. Please PM me if you have any Questions? DODECAHEDRON_Aug12-2014_9-04-52.zip DG P.S. There are perhaps other/simpler ways of doing it but working with Triangular .png files you can construct almost any geometric shape.
  20. Hi Claudio, Do you mean this: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?/topic/16962-daves-styles/?hl=icosahedron#entry112680 Apply the style to create the "Template". DG
  21. Try here: http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/techniques/addvid2?s[]=master&s[]=video&s[]=track#playing_a_video_over_multiple_slides or here: http://docs.picturestoexe.com/it/techniques/addvid2?s[]=master&s[]=video&s[]=track#playing_a_video_over_multiple_slides DG
  22. Claudio, Use this and then re-install version 8: DG
  23. If a video were added to the Background in Project Options some other decisions would also have to be made. Does the video duration constitute the Full Duration of a single slide? Does the video play continuously over multiple slides? What happens if the video duration is more or less than the required total duration of the Project? Does the video stop or repeat? The method could be used to create a portion of a larger project which could be copied into the main project when completed. Whilst I don't see any major obstacles to implementing this suggestion, I think that it is probably safer to leave this application to the current available methods which allow greater flexiblity and accuracy to achieve the desired result. DG
  24. Revolver Custom Transition. Has "Use Backgound From Slide" and "Transparent BG of Slide" enabled. Use sparingly. RevolverDG.ptef DG
