Tom, I imagine that there are a LOT of slides and they would have to be arranged alternately before you start. That's a lot of work in itself. However your Style idea is easier than the O and A option. Drag set 1 slide 1 and set 2 slide 1 down - apply the style etc. It is still likely to be a LONG job!! I suppose you could make a style which would handle 20 or so at a time in the right order? DG

Add a Blank Slide to the slide list - Right Click menu. Go to Objects and Animation. Using the Add Image Icon - Top Left - add the two images and resize them to suit. You will have to do this for every slide - it is going to be a little tedious (dependiong on the number of slides in the Time Lapse). Alternatively, drag the "Left hand Side Images" into the Slide List - Click on first & Shift Click on last - drag. Then enter O&A resize the first bunch and add the second set (one at a time). There is only ONE Slide List but you can have multiple Audio Tracks. Hi Denis, What I was suggesting was that if an author posts his work on a site such as Slideshowclub he or she could reasonably assume that it will not be downloaded, converted into another format, possibly edited and then presented in a way that the original author had not intended. The quality of the conversion is unlikely to be of the same quality as the author originally intended but it would still bear his or her name. In those terms and without the permission of the original author I deem that to be Piracy. You seem to be suggesting that I am correct and that anyone can download anyone else's work and convert it into another format without the author's permission? I was also suggesting that WnSoft should think about whether it can prevent this kind of unauthorised copying. It might not be possible to protect EXE files from unauthorised conversion but this thread is informing those who want to do it where to go to get the software needed to do it. DG

Are we not on shaky ground here?? If this technology is available will it not allow anyone to copy anyone else's work, do a bit of editing and then present it as their own?? There is a feature in PicturesToExe to Disable the PrtSc Button - seems like a good reason to use it for each and every Project, although it is unlikely that this Pirating Software uses the PrtSc Button to initiate the process. If a suitable software is found to do this I, for one, will be asking Igor what he intends to do to prevent it? In fact, I would like to know Igor's views on this discussion!! DG

PicturesToExe is able to produce Oval and Rectangular Masks at the time of writing. It is, however, unable to produce a Rectangular Mask which can be distorted diagonally. To do this, it is necessary to create the Mask externally in the shape of a Diamond. The Diamond shaped mask can then be distorted to create Star Shaped Masks. Here's a Template which can be applied as a Style and demonstrates this: Stars.ptestyle Demo: Stars.zip Add a single image with a central subject to the Slide List in Cover Slide Mode and apply the Style. DG

Thanks for pointing that out Charles. You might also have noticed the the Mask Container is Square. In the first post I said: "Note that some adjustment of your chosen image might be required to fill the masks". Changing the image to Cover Slide after applying the Style usually does it. I see this as more of a guide to certain aspects of Masks than as a usable Style. "A Template dressed up as a Style". DG

Hi Frans, Explain a bit more? Time lapse is single frames is it not? How could PTE make time lapse photography easier? DG P.S. Could you start a new Thread?

All the time - since day 1. Just search on "adding the audio of a video clip" (with quotes). http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/techniques/addvid2?s[]=mute#adding_the_audio_of_a_video_clip_to_an_audio_track DG
-
From the Online Help File: Adding the Audio of a Video Clip to an Audio Track The Audio of a Video Clip can be added to an Audio Track and the Envelope can then be applied to it. Add the Video Clip and then, in Objects and Animation/Properties Tab, Mute the Audio of the Video Clip..............DG

A Template dressed up as a Style. Morphing or animating the change between one geometrically shaped mask and another. In this case from a Pentagonally Shaped Mask to a Hexagonally Shaped Mask and then from the Hexagon to an Octagonally Shaped Mask. Add a single Image to the Slide List. Import and Apply the Style to the Single Slide. Five slides are created. In O&A you can analyse the method. Note that some adjustment of your chosen image might be required to fill the masks. All (?) software packages give a warning when you are about to over-write a file. In this case, PTE does not give a warning when you are about to over-write a file. Therefore I am assuming that it is a BUG until told differently by Igor. I am also assuming that, although it was well publicised, Igor failed to pick it up OR is unable to do anything about it. I await his response. The Online Help File is there to tell you about the software and not about how to circumvent its Bugs? DG P.S. My comments in Post #7 were designed to help Igor understand the problem a little better. That's why I started the post with "Igor,............."
-
Igor, P.S. What you do not get when you convert the original file multiple times is a warning that you are about to over-write the last/previous conversion. DG
-
Igor, If you convert a file with the name: DSC0025.converted.avi ...its name becomes: DSC0025.converted.converted.avi If you start from DSC0025.avi and do a second conversion then it is your responsibility to rename: DSC0025a.converted.avi. You do this by clicking on the dropdown to the right and renaming there, thus avoiding the over-write. This was well documented some time ago. DG

Minor bug displaying images in Slides view after deleting [IN WORK]

Igor, I agree with Peter. It is not a huge bug, but it is nevertheless a bug. DG -
Tom, Most modern Upscaling DVD Players are a step up from their older counterparts. I am currently using a Sony BluRay Player and that allows me to use (standard) DVDs and MP4 (etc) Video all in one neat package. The quality is definitely way ahead of my earlier players. DG

Minor bug displaying images in Slides view after deleting [IN WORK]
davegee replied to PGA's topic in Troubleshooting
Peter, If I do the contiguous selection in "reverse order" - slide 5 first and Shift Click on Slide 2 - then it works as you would expect. The highlighted slide shows in the Mini Player. Doing it the way you suggest causes the highlighted slide and the displayed slide to be different (not always the same slide is shown). DG P.S. Same W7 Premium 64 Bit -
Main menu / Settings / Preferences / Toolbars. I do not think that anything there will prevent a drag and drop action?? If you cannot drag and drop right click on files and choose "add to slide list". DG

Another problem with registration & "Load a key" [SOLVED]
davegee replied to laurence1's topic in Troubleshooting
Hi Laurence, Wnsoft made a statement about this in the forum before the release of version 8 explaining the reasons behind the change of policy. I am sorry that I could not find it at short notice but I am pretty sure that if Ken sees this he will point you to it. DG -
Another problem with registration & "Load a key" [SOLVED]
davegee replied to laurence1's topic in Troubleshooting
Laurence, Have you bought a new (upgrade) license for Version 8? Previous licences will not allow you to upgrade to V8 from a Previous version. http://www.wnsoft.com/picturestoexe/buy/ DG -
Tom, I reckon mine will last another ten years or so - no problem. It has never been connected to the Internet - never updated and it's just as good as new. DG
