  1. It only "bolds" images added via Drag and Drop or via the Menus. If the images are added via O&A it does not Bold them in the File List. Could that be it? DG
  2. Canico, There is no dfference between V7.5 and V8 as far as D & D of images is concerned???? Just tried both - please explain more? However, V7 to V8 is a little bit more of a jump. The Slide View is for D & D of images - the Timeline View is for D & D of Audio Files. Re the "X" and other tools - go to Settings / Preferences / Tools and turn ALL TOOLS ON! Igor - Please note!! The Online Help - F1 - might help? Choose V8 English. DG
  3. New "How To" articles have been added to the "Techniques and How To" section of the Online Help File. http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/main Please press Ctrl+F5 to reset your Cache every time you visit the Online Help DG
  4. Thanks again Ken. DG
  5. Thanks Ken, The reference there is to using the USB input of a BluRay Player to play MP4 Files. It does not refer to BluRay Discs. DG
  6. Project Options settings can be saved in a Template. If the Template designated as the Template to "use for new projects" has the feature activated then it is remembered when a new project is created. DG
  7. Agreed. DG
  8. New "How To" articles have been added to the "Techniques and How To" section of the Online Help File. http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/main DG
  9. Just an observation: I don't disagree with Barry's suggestion!! But for those of us who ALWAYS Convert, is it not easier to do the conversion before dragging into the timeline? That way all of the other little tidying up things like Cropping/Trimming/resizing etc can be done in one operation? You don't then have to worry about the Video Converter Window. JMHO. I still agree with Barry's suggestion. DG.
  10. Don't mention it.....my pleasure. The Online Help is being developed to provide information about the nuts and bolts of the software. At the bottom of the menu is a section called "Techniques and How To". Anyone wishing to write an ilustrated, properly constructed How To is welcome to participate in the project. It is on our "To Do" list. DG
  11. This procedure has been documented elsewhere a while ago. Say that, for instance, you want to record a voice over starting at "Slide 15". Start the Mini Player at Slide 12 (ish). Immediately start the Voice Record Function. When Slide 15 appears start the narrative. Stop the Narrative. Trim the Comment in Project Options/Audio Tab or in the Audio Track and add the necessary Envelope etc. DG P.S. The Voice Comment is Linked to the Slide which is current when the STOP button is pressed. This can be UNLINKED via the Right Click Menu and Linked to a different Slide if necessary by moving the Cursor and re-linking.
  12. Searching the Online Help. You can search for partial words: *fade - will find all instances of "fade" and will include "Crossfade" etc Sort* - will find all instances of "Sort" and will include "Sorted" etc You can search for exact phrases by enclosing the phrase in "Quotes". Example - "audio tab" will find all instances of the "Audio Tab" phrase. Including two or more words the search (without quotes) will find all instances of the two or more words. DG
  13. Any Pictures to Exe user can access the Online Help via Main Menu / Help. No Login Required. DG
  14. Hi all, A couple of organizational matters: 1. Because of the "ongoing" nature of the "Work in Progress" please use Ctrl+F5 regularly to update your Cache and make sure that you are viewing the very latest versions of pages. 2. The search facility is a great indication of the viability of the project - please report any "Search Failures"? Words in image examples cannot be searched on and might require keyword additions. Partial words are also a problem so please search on variations of words e.g. sort and sorted. DG
  15. Could I also add to this that doing a SEARCH of the Online Help File for the word SORT will bring up the information that Lin quoted? DG
  16. Thanks Peter, Correction made. DG P.S. They differ slightly - I will ask Jeff to take another look at this.
  17. Thanks Boogie, Corrected. DG
  18. Thanks Tom, A word about the PDF option. In the short term, pages are like to change when corrections and/or additions are made. A "hard copy" will obviously not reflect these changes. DG
  19. Thanks, Suggestions: 1. Bookmark the Online Help and open in a new window. It will remain on the desired page when switching Tabs / Windows. 2. From the forum, right click on the link and "Open in a New Window" to get the same result. DG
  20. Igor, I would like to add my thanks to Jeff Evans, whose help in getting to where we are now is gratefully acknowledged. I must also thank Lin Evans for the Proofreading and "Americanization" of the project and for the article on Chroma Key. I cannot think of anyone else in this forum who could have done that. The task is now to complete the project. I am inviting anyone who wants to participate to look at where we are now and submit articles and "How To's" which fill the gaps. There are a couple of things that need to be mentioned. 1. If your submission is a "one liner" please submit it here. We don't need suggestions for articles - we need articles. 2. If you are submitting an article (or "How To") it needs to be in Word or .rtf format (PDF perhaps) but the images need to be SEPARATE - not inserted into the document. 2a. Images should be a maximum of 1280 Pixels wide - there's a little trick - if you need help please ask me? 3. If possible images need to be screen grabs in W7 format/"livery" - for consistency. 4. Articles should be SPELL CHECKED before submission. 5. Opinions in articles will be edited out. Submissions should be made in a PM to me. It might be wise to let me know if you plan to make a submission just in case someone else is planning the same topic? The work is ongoing and it might be wise to Press F5 (or even Ctrl+F5) often to make sure that you are not viewing an old version of what is current. DG
  21. Sorry Tony, I misunderstood. Yes, you add the Blank Black Slide (1920x1080) to every slide (copy and Paste) and then add your images and Objects (Text etc) to the Blank Black slide. The Blank Black Slide is the MAIN IMAGE which is then reduced to 90-97% according to TV. All other Child Objects are reduced to suit. DG
  22. Hi Tony, If your AR is 16:9 and you are using 16:9 (1920x1080) images they will fill the screen until you apply "xx% of Slide to show main images". "The Screen" is your Background which can be any colour you wish. Not a separate image. BTW on my new TV and BR Player the % turns out to be more like 98%. DG
  23. Tony, I don't think that is what Lin said? It is OK to use 1920x1080 images but be aware that when making a DVD they are re-sized to fit 768x576 and then upscaled by the DVD Player to fit your TV screen. DG
  24. Hi Jose, I think that in most cases it is almost immediate. In my case it was. The fact that you have contacted Wnsoft about it means that they are aware that in your case it did not happen. Did you check "Junk Email" (just in case)? Glad that you now have it OK!! DG
  25. Jose, Have you now recieved your license??? DG
