Quality audio is like a quality photograph. iPhone photos are good enough for some people who can't see any difference between an iPhone Instagram picture and an image meticulously captured on a tripod with a FF sensor. Likewise, iPhone recordings are good enough for some people. Whether it matters depends if you have an eye or an ear for the difference in quality.

Keyboard control is a great idea. Gotta have a little didgeridoo. Beautiful, creative, inspiring images. Sunsets, mountains, oceans, birds "Black point" is the new "saturation" sometimes overdriven. Nice AV overall, well put together. Fun trip!

Thanks, Barry.

10 minutes. I create a series of several 8-15 min. shows, typically 6 total, accessed via a menu. This can be for weddings or various events. My style is documentary. I find that clients love this style and duration and find myself going back and enjoying them as well.

Thanks, Lin. Amazing job, and so helpful, as always. I still imagine a day when an object or text can simply follow a path such as a Bezier curve.

I am so sorry. I did not know Maureen personally but almost felt as if I did. She seemed so kind and had an amazing eye for beauty. My heart goes out to Robert in his loss.

Wow, Lin!. Thanks!

Lin, in your opinion, how does this compare to Zoom? I know Zoom is a bit more expensive, but I am a fan.

Here is the thing, I used to be a sort of Photoshop guru. I really understood it, used it a lot to make all kinds of graphical whoopie. It came naturally and I mastered a good bit of what it could do other than movie and 3D editing. But, the thrill is over. Lightroom does 99.9% of what I need. Experience helps getting it as right as possible from the get-go in-camera. I go to Photoshop maybe once a month for some project? Little by little I am losing my edge, keyboard shortcuts forgotten, techniques that don't burst to mind--and I don't really care. I wonder for how many other people that is true?

You are offering something really valuable. Thanks! -
For all of us Hasselblad enthusiasts, the new H6D-100C has a 5:4 sensor. (Don't I wish I had one!)

You can send links to me from wherever you upload them. I LOVE your presentations! Please keep them coming.

Merry Christmas to you all!

Really cool stuff, Dave. Thanks. Sorry I have not been more active with this version 9 development. This is hitting me at a very consuming time. But I am tinkering and watching with pleasure.

Lin makes a solid case for 5:4. Leave it be.

Same. I never have.

Very nice. Thanks.

I have no idea how the numbers run, but I wonder how many of the XP copies are... 1) In some parts of Asia, XP is required to run certain official software which isn't updated to run on newer OS's. I would suppose none of those run PTE since most are required to be dedicated machines. This is a very large number of computers because every business is required to have one for printing certain kinds of receipts. 2) Many computers run XP because authorities say they must for complex reasons. This includes countless hotels, internet bars and official offices. That is probably a very large number of computers. Probably none of these use PTE (or not purchased versions of PTE). Often their copy of XP isn't legitimate either. I still run XP on one machine, but I don't have PTE on that machine.

Absolutely. Thanks, Jeff.

What about Dropbox or something? I LOVE your slideshows!

I think you are making a mistake. But that is my opinion. PTE is the best, and it is only getting better. I recommend ONLY PTE to anyone who might be interested. And I will do the wise thing, and continue to do so.

No, Sir. Not everything is about security. I also run Windows XP (not in the internet) and Linux for some special needs. I think you may be mistaken about how "Computer security is probably more about the common sense of the user." That may have been true once. Times have changed. Most users haven't a clue what can be done to breach security these days and how common it actually is. Win 10 has made worthy strides in preventing security breaches--far overreaching Win 7. Each to his own, but good information is better than bad. We would do well to inform people with the good.

I am amazed that some people don't get that Windows 10 is more secure than Win 7. How is Win 7 more vulnerable? Good grief. And this isn't about how good your malware, virus protection software is, you are likely running the best, "Security Essentials" anyway. It's built in to Win 10. For starters you can look at this brief explanation about why Win 7 is more vulnerable and Win 10 is more secure. http://www.infoworld.com/article/2984602/security/why-windows-10-is-the-most-secure-windows-ever.html

The time even comes to upgrade a computer

Just trying to remember, was there ever or DOS version of PTE? Did it run on NT 4? Earlier?
