  6. Hi, Let me refer to my post from March 4, see here. Regards, Xaver
  7. This seems to be a very good feature. Now some moderators can use it to prevent themselves from writing so many posts Regards, Xaver
  8. Everything looks much better now, thanks Regards, Xaver
  9. Presently, all old quotes are hardly to be distinguished from the normal Text. Regards, Xaver
  10. This seems to be right. Here are two other examples in the slide show area. The m.objects forum has about 800 members; only 75 of them have more that 10 posts, about 3000 members in the AquaSoft forum, about 370 with 11 or more posts. Regards, Xaver
  11. I agree, but there are some "advanced members" with hundreds, if not thousands of posts who try to make others believe that the world looks different (examples: There are a lot of us that don't want PTE cluttered with a sound editing facility, or We don't really want any sound editing within PTE). This poll does not prove anything but it seems to indicate that the group of members to which the said advanced members refer to (using words like us and we) is smaller than they believe. Regards, Xaver
  12. Brian, The subject of this thread is not just trimming, it is audio adjustment! By the way, trimming in Audacity or Goldwave is a matter of a few seconds. But keep in mind: Finishing a show with a trimmed piece of music really is an awful solution Regards, Xaver
  13. Isn't it the poll of user thedom? For Igor everything might be clear, who knows? Regards, Xaver
  14. I accept this post as your personal point of view I would like to hear Bill Artman. Regards, Xaver
  15. This is not question of counting beans. In the end, it will not make a great difference if the supporters of audio adjustment functions will constitute the majority or not. In any case, the discussion shows that there is a need for this functionality. In the German speaking area, photo clubs and AV-groups typically use m.objects or Wings Platinum, both highly priced. But I can assure you that it is hopeless to offer a cheaper alternative if the audio part is so minimalistic as in PTE. Regards, Xaver
  16. My experience is that the cursor does not change its position if you highlight another object. Regards, Xaver
  17. Here we have another fantastic example of the French-German Friendship Regards, Xaver
  18. You surely know that you can develop your sound in Audacity in a non-destructive way (as an Audacity project). So you do not have to rework the soundtrack completely. Audacity can be used as a kind of audio plugin for PTE. On the other hand: PTE itself has the disadvantage that the arrangement of slides is done in the main window, while included objects must be treated in the Q&A window. When working with Audacity, a third window comes into the game. You have to work with two timelines at the same time. Having changed the soundtrack, it must be exported in Audacity and newly imported in PTE. This workflow is far from being comfortable. Regards, Xaver
  19. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majestic_plural or http://albertmartin.de/latein/?q=maiestas Regards, Xaver
  20. Hi all, My vote for "Yes", in the sense of nobeefstu's post, see also here. Regards, Xaver
  21. Pluralis Maiestatis? Regards, Xaver
  22. It is not true in general that Ctrl+W opens a Microsoft program! Ctrl+W will start that program which is associated with the corresponding image type. So, if it is a jpeg image, and if a jpeg images opens on double-click with IrfanView, then Ctrl+W in PTE will start IrfanView, as well. Regards, Xaver
  23. An Audio Visual Snob (http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....ost&p=53575) What is a Audio Visual? (http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....ost&p=53748) Regards, Xaver
  24. Here it is: Regards, Xaver
