  1. This is a very useful tool, as it allows to copy files which have been locked by a running process and which disappear when the locking process ends. Regards, Xaver
  2. Gary, This may be possible, but be careful. Try to find out which type of motherboard you have got. Download the board's manual, and look which kind of memory will suit well. Regards, Xaver
  3. Hi Lin, Thank you for making this point clear. In the context of Alan's post, I did not expect that there could be a misunderstanding Regards, Xaver
  4. Hi Alan, I have also thought about this solution. I think that it will work well, as long as the images are static. In case of animations, I made the experience that the edges of rectangles were not animated in the same smooth way as those of images. Regards, Xaver
  5. The "Keyframe scaling bug" discovered by Cedric Dawnhawk (see here) has not been fixed. Regards, Xaver
  6. Let me express my intention to forgive you Regards, Xaver
  7. Peter, Here is an example! Regards, Xaver ScalingExample.zip
  8. Cedric, From my point of view, this bug has been reported (you did it ). I think that PTE only scales keypoints which belong to a particular slide, while those belonging to adjacent slides may remain untouched. All in all not a very comfortable affair. I would recommend to avoid this feature. Regards, Xaver
  9. Customize Slide > Main > Timing > Scale keyframes in objects (on time change) English user guide, page 28. Regards, Xaver
  10. No, at present time, there aren't any sound edition functions within PTE. Several users have requested for better audio functionality, let's hope for the future. See also the FAQ section on PTE Usage provided by Peter (fh1805). Regards, Xaver PS: Questions of this kind should rather be placed into the PicturesToExe section of this forum (not Tutorials and Articles).
  11. Hi, My impression is that PTE only shows characters correctly that belong to the ASCII character set. Example: "ç" has the ASCII code 0231 (correctly shown in PTE), while "ű" does not have any (PTE shows "u"). Of course, both characters can be expressed in Unicode. Regards, Xaver
  12. A possible alternative could be an "invisible navigation bar". Cover on top level the screen with two non-overlapping transparent frames, covering the left and the right half of the screen. For these frames (which are easy to hit with the mouse), choose "Previous slide" and "Next slide" as actions on mouse click. Furthermore, assign "Pause" to the right mouse button, and "None" to the left one. This has to be done for each slide, but this is easy using copy and paste. Regards, Xaver
  13. You do not have to unistall the old version. Can you provide some more details on your PC? Regards, Xaver H. Munich
  14. Wouldn't it make sense to offer the creation of Exe-files with color space options: - The user may decide if the source space should be interpreted or not. - The user may chose a destination space for the images to be stored inside the Exe-File. Furthermore: Why not having an optional automatic resizing function for Exe creation, e.g. for shows having "Fixed size of slide (in pixels)"? Regards, Xaver
  15. Igor, Did you ever think about preprocessing? Regards, Xaver
  16. You can do it (pause) with a single click! It is just a question of configuration. Regards, Xaver
  17. Hi all, I would like to second this proposal, preferably in combination with image preprocessing (as provided by Wings Platinum and m.objects). Regards, Xaver
  18. Ralph, I made a short test (v. 5.6.3, WinXP SP3), and I configured the mouse just as you did. Pause on mouse click worked in both cases, Preview and Exe Regards, Xaver
  19. Congratulations Ralph for being a bit faster than I was! Regards, xaver
  20. If you go up to 100 (3 digits), you better count 001, 002, 003, ... , 010, 011, ... , 077, ... , 099, 100 ! This is obvious from the point of view of a lexicographical order which Windows seems to use. Regards, Xaver
  21. Hi, Just an example. A similar argument can be found regarding audio functionality. Regards, Xaver
  22. It is nice to see that you problem has been solved. For a experienced user is it much easier to provide some help if he has got a practical example, rather than making guesses based on some vague problem description. Best regards, Xaver
  23. S.Bidouze, thedom, What you would like to see is some non-destructive image processing within PTE. In the past, a lot of forum members did clearly express that they would not like to have this feature. On the other hand, m.objects offers a lot of this kind, but it is known that this software makes use of preprocessing, and I would like to ask the question if heavy image processing can be done in realtime. Regards, Xaver
  24. Wobble, Normally, sound that works in the Preview should work in an Exe-presentation, as well. Can you reproduce your effect by creating a very short sequence (1 or 2 slides, and a short sound), and prepare a download for a zip-backup of the whole sequence? Regards, Xaver H. Munich
  25. Tom, I played a little bit with a quadratic image and a quadratic screen. I've got the impression that the animation in case of "Perspective correction for Zoom" is controlled only via the horizontal axis. For a mere vertical zoom the perspective correction does not seem to have any effect. For images which keep their aspect ratio this behavior does not cause any problems. Regards, Xaver
