I'm sorry, but currently PicturesToExe can't handle 4K video (for output and playback of video clips in a project).

Slideshowclub- 'Find their other files' not working
Igor replied to goddi's topic in Forum & Website
Gary, Yes, I confirm this problem. I sent a request to Invision company to get assistance with this problem. -
Gary, What size of file(s) which you tried to upload to Slideshowclub?
-
Description/notes and author's name for a slide style will be added in nearest Beta version of PicturesToExe 9.0. We're working on this code right now.

Thanks, Dave!

Moire usually occurs on certain images with high details and with applied unsharp mask. By default, PicturesToExe was optimized to show images with high details and with sharp picture. If you find a moire problem on some images during Pan/Zoom animation, please use the following recommendation: 1. If you resize images in Photoshop, use "Bicubic" or "Bicubic Smoother" option. Don't use "Bicubic Sharper". 2. Don't apply Unsharp mask filter in Photoshop or in PicturesToExe. 2. If moire/flickering still appears, open the Objects and animation editor. Choose this image and in the Properties tab find a parameter "Sharper/Smoother". By default, this parameter is (minus) -100. Try to set 0 or even 50...100. This will eliminate the moire completely. An image will become more soft.

Sierra 10.12.2, probs running PTE Mac apps [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Almark's topic in Troubleshooting
Mark. Thanks for checking! For some reason in MacOS Sierra 10.12.2 a system function which loads JPEG images has stopped the work anymore. We had to include alternate JPEG decoder to fix this problem (same code as for PC). Now JPEG images always will work on Mac, because we use own code for JPEG loading. Of course, it's very strange. I can't remember something similar on Windows. I didn't recieve a reply from Apple yet. -

Igor replied to Almark's topic in Troubleshooting
I apologize for this problem. For some reason, system function in MacOS Sierra 10.12.2 can't load JPEG images. We'll change JPEG loader to fix this problem. The updated version should be ready soon. P.S. Probably Apple will fix this issue in the next update of MacOS. -

Please send me a link to Vimeo video. And original MP4 video file which you used for uploading to Vimeo. I'll check.
-
If a MP4 video file produced in PTE looks fine on your computer (in a video player), the problem can be in Vimeo (they re-encode/optimize all uploaded video files) or in a browser. Try to upload same video file to YouTube and compare visual quality. Also it's strange that IE gives better quality than Chrome. Check Vimeo video on another compare to compare. That's OK. Because your video file contains still images. Modern video codecs very good compress still images (and Pan/Zoom animations). Live video picture requires more high bitrate than still images.

I just checked the work of PicturesToExe 8.0.21 and version 9.0 Beta on Windows XP with Avast antivirus. It always worked correctly and I successfully created EXE files. Probably you need to wait several days while Avast update antivirus databases? It can be false positive problem.
-
Thanks for these details. I think this problem related with your antivirus software. Try to temporary disable it and create EXE file again. What antivirus installed on your computer?
-
Thanks for the sample images. It seems that PicturesToExe doesn't support correctly JPEGs saved with Grayscale mode. We'll try to fix this issue, but probably it will take significant time. Chrome browser also doesn't display correctly Grayscale images. I recommend to use a workaround - convert your image to RGB color space before you save a JPEG file. Or use Save for Web command.
