  1. Hi all, Thanks for your opinions! We will not hurry with deletion of custom windows without a good replacement. Don't worry. Our main technical difficulties are related with Startup window. As I understood this feature is not often used? Regarding custom windows and possible alternate solution in future. We could add possibility to show/hide usual objects on the action (mouse click). Also we could improve opacity control to hide a group of objects using one opacity parameter without complicated masks. A possibility to make invisible a group of objects in the O&A editor (not in a real show) better organize work with objects.
  2. Tom, PTE uses true 3D space for graphics. All objects are located in 3D space. But there are certain limitations. For example, no Z sorting.
  3. Barry, I de-activated that function. Now users should contact to administrator. This situation should not appear any more.
  4. Barry, I removed that report.
  5. Hi, Thanks, Windows 10 is not ready yet. Test versions are intended for developers and they may work not stable. We checked work of PicturesToExe 8 in Windows 10 Build 10074 (April, 2015). Everything worked correctly. P.S. My personal opinion - Windows 7 is much better than Windows 8 or 10.
  6. Hi, Does anybody use Startup window, Help window or custom windows? We think to remove these features in v9.0, because they complicate PicturesToExe and rarely used. What you think?
  7. Hi Tonton, Excuse me for late response, I caught a cold. I confirm the problem with editing of some video files in PicturesToExe VideoConvertor. We're replacing video encoders and decoders in future version(s) of PicturesToExe now and I hope that it should solve these issues.

Hi, Try to uninstall & re-install PicturesToExe. If it doesn't help, try to change available parameters for the virtual computer in VMWare. I think that VMWare users could face with a similar problem with other software products running in VMWare. And VMWare can prepare the update soon. Next version of PicturesToExe will contain completely new code for video output and it also may help.
  9. I'm not sure that this feature will be highly requested. Audio timeline should display several tracks, the main window also shows the mini-player, file tree and file list. There is a lack of space. Also PicturesToExe is not audio editor. We don't want to compete with professional audio editors. In the most situations the mixed audio waveform is enough to create AV shows.
  10. Lin, Thanks for your suggetions! I agree with management of multi aspect ratio styles should be improved. We'll try to do it in v9.0.
  11. Hi, It's false positive. Please let me know - what version of PicturesToExe is installed on your computer? I reported to AVG company yesterday about a similar problem with v8.0.10. Usually they fix such problems within several days.
  12. Hi Peter, Sorry, I can't say the exact date for Mac version.
  13. Hi, In PicturesToExe Deluxe 8.0 you can create one slide style which contains several styles for different aspect ratio. Instead of several styles in the list of custom styles: My style 4:3My style 16:9My style 5:4 You have only one style: My style When you apply this style the necessary variant (4:3, 16:9 or 5:4) will be choosed automatically. How to create multi aspect ratio style 1. Prepare two or more projects for your style. Each for certain aspect ratio. 2. Create a new style. - Type a name for each style. This name should be the same for each style. - Choose the option "Use aspect ratio of this project - ..." (16:9, 4:3, etc). Aspect ratio should be set correctly in the Project Options before you create this style. 3. In the list of styles you'll see one dual style which includes several variants for different aspect ratio: I attach a sample style which include 4:3 and 16:9 sub-styles and source projects. Smart Style.zip
  14. Hi, We see two solutions one of which could be implemented in future version 9.0: A. When you use "Create backup in ZIP" the program automatically includes all resources of used custom slide styles (as Lin suggested). B. When you apply a custom slide style, the program copies all resources to the project folder. We prefer variant B, because it covers different scenarios of work with PicturesToExe. If you manually copy project files in Windows Explorer and move to another computer, all files will be included. In variant A you have to use "Create backup in ZIP" to correctly transfer a project to another computer or manually export/import used slide styles. What you think?
  15. Lin, I think that new version 9.0 will help to solve this dilemma. New animation tools will allow to set fixed speed of the looped animation not depending on the duration of a slide.
  16. Lin, Thanks for the confirmation! I'll publish this update as v8.0.16 later. I'll reply on second problem tomorrow. OK?
  17. Lin, Please try the updated version: http://www.wnsoft.com/files/test/picturestoexe-setup.exe It should fix the problem with export of slide styles on Windows XP. Please let me know about a result.
  18. Lin, I created a new topic - Slide styles and Create backup in ZIP and moved several posts there.
  19. Lin, I think that I found the reason of this problem. Windows XP can't show Save/Open dialog window if a filename contains prohibited symbols: \ / ? * " < > |Windows 7, 8 can show Save/Open dialog window, but then will show a warning. When you export a slide style, PicturesToExe uses its name for the filename. If a style has name "My Style 16:9" - it can't be exported. If it has a name "My Style 16 9" it can be exported without problem. We'll fix this issue in the following update (8.0.16). PicturesToExe will replace these symbols to show Save dialog window correctly. P.S. Save project, Create EXE file always work correctly. But Create backup in ZIP doesnt' work under Windows XP if your project name contains those prohibited symbols.
  20. Lin, Thanks for the ZIP files with your slide styles and video file. I'm working of this problem right now.
  21. Dave, Lin, Thanks
  22. Thanks, Lin. I think it was important step and it will attract new users to this group and PicturesToExe. Let's see how it will work now.
  23. Jean-Charles, Does the new version fixed that problem with two "User styles" categories on your computer?
  24. Moving clouds looks great!
  25. Lin, It's strange, I now tried to install again v8.0.14 and I see two "User styles" categories. Then I installed the new v8.0.15 and now I have only one "User styles" - as I expected. Regarding the main problem. Please open the Preferences window -> Templates tab. In "Custom slide styles" you'll see a location of the folder with all your user styles. Please pack this folder to ZIP archive and send me.
