  1. Lin, Thanks for your suggetions! I agree with management of multi aspect ratio styles should be improved. We'll try to do it in v9.0.
  2. Hi, It's false positive. Please let me know - what version of PicturesToExe is installed on your computer? I reported to AVG company yesterday about a similar problem with v8.0.10. Usually they fix such problems within several days.
  3. Hi Peter, Sorry, I can't say the exact date for Mac version.
  4. Hi, In PicturesToExe Deluxe 8.0 you can create one slide style which contains several styles for different aspect ratio. Instead of several styles in the list of custom styles: My style 4:3My style 16:9My style 5:4 You have only one style: My style When you apply this style the necessary variant (4:3, 16:9 or 5:4) will be choosed automatically. How to create multi aspect ratio style 1. Prepare two or more projects for your style. Each for certain aspect ratio. 2. Create a new style. - Type a name for each style. This name should be the same for each style. - Choose the option "Use aspect ratio of this project - ..." (16:9, 4:3, etc). Aspect ratio should be set correctly in the Project Options before you create this style. 3. In the list of styles you'll see one dual style which includes several variants for different aspect ratio: I attach a sample style which include 4:3 and 16:9 sub-styles and source projects. 5. Hi, We see two solutions one of which could be implemented in future version 9.0: A. When you use "Create backup in ZIP" the program automatically includes all resources of used custom slide styles (as Lin suggested). B. When you apply a custom slide style, the program copies all resources to the project folder. We prefer variant B, because it covers different scenarios of work with PicturesToExe. If you manually copy project files in Windows Explorer and move to another computer, all files will be included. In variant A you have to use "Create backup in ZIP" to correctly transfer a project to another computer or manually export/import used slide styles. What you think?
  6. Lin, I think that new version 9.0 will help to solve this dilemma. New animation tools will allow to set fixed speed of the looped animation not depending on the duration of a slide.
  7. Lin, Thanks for the confirmation! I'll publish this update as v8.0.16 later. I'll reply on second problem tomorrow. OK?
  8. Lin, Please try the updated version: http://www.wnsoft.com/files/test/picturestoexe-setup.exe It should fix the problem with export of slide styles on Windows XP. Please let me know about a result.
  9. Lin, I created a new topic - Slide styles and Create backup in ZIP and moved several posts there.
  10. Lin, I think that I found the reason of this problem. Windows XP can't show Save/Open dialog window if a filename contains prohibited symbols: \ / ? * " < > |Windows 7, 8 can show Save/Open dialog window, but then will show a warning. When you export a slide style, PicturesToExe uses its name for the filename. If a style has name "My Style 16:9" - it can't be exported. If it has a name "My Style 16 9" it can be exported without problem. We'll fix this issue in the following update (8.0.16). PicturesToExe will replace these symbols to show Save dialog window correctly. P.S. Save project, Create EXE file always work correctly. But Create backup in ZIP doesnt' work under Windows XP if your project name contains those prohibited symbols.
  11. Lin, Thanks for the ZIP files with your slide styles and video file. I'm working of this problem right now.
  12. Dave, Lin, Thanks
  13. Thanks, Lin. I think it was important step and it will attract new users to this group and PicturesToExe. Let's see how it will work now.
  14. Jean-Charles, Does the new version fixed that problem with two "User styles" categories on your computer?
  15. Moving clouds looks great!
  16. Lin, It's strange, I now tried to install again v8.0.14 and I see two "User styles" categories. Then I installed the new v8.0.15 and now I have only one "User styles" - as I expected. Regarding the main problem. Please open the Preferences window -> Templates tab. In "Custom slide styles" you'll see a location of the folder with all your user styles. Please pack this folder to ZIP archive and send me.
  17. Lin, Thanks for the details! Version 8.0.15 only removes wrong "User styles" folder which is placed in other location (Program Files). Build-in slide styles and user styles are located in different folders. Try to install this update to see will it cure that problem. If the problem still here, please send me all users styles in ZIP folder, if it possible. Or you can send me only selected folders with styles, I'll explain in the next message.
  18. Lin, Please tell me - do I understand rightly: 1. Sometimes you see those certain styles but you can't export them? 2. Sometimes you can't see those certain styles? 3. Sometimes you see those certain styles and you can export them. Everything works OK? Please can you send me the folder with your user styles in a ZIP archive? This folder contains sub-folders like this {0D34BAFA-B657-43A4-AE30-C2FF60A79F75} and userstyles.ini file. What antivirus software is installed on your computer? Can you try to turn it off temporarily? Probably antivirus blocks the access to a folder with a certain style. If you have Microsoft Security Essentials, please skip this suggestion. Microsoft's antivirus works correctly. P.S. I just published v8.0.15 which removes mistaken "User styles" category. But this version shouldn't affect to the problem which you've described above.
  19. Jean-Charles, I published the updated version 8.0.15 with the fix of this problem.
  20. Hi, If I understood rightly this problem, a warning for missing files could appear if you save a project in version 8.0 and then open this project in the old version 6.0.
  21. The protection against PrintScr key is very simple and doesn't affect to other ways to capture picture from the screen. I even think to remove this option. What you think?
  22. Eric, This warning will be removed in future version for HD, AVI, mobile video and YouTube. This code is ready.
  23. Jean-Charles, I confirm this issue. I'll update v8.0.14 tomorrow. Thanks!
  24. Lin, Nice combination of still photo + video with alpha channel or green screen!
