Hi, I understand that this point is important for you. I can't promiss firmly, probably we will able to improve a transition to a new launched show in future version. You wrote about this issue after 2 years since a release of version 10.0 where this behaviour appeared first time. Did you notice it first time? I don't remember other reports on this subject earlier.

Hi Ken, A project may has only blank slides (with text objects and rectangles) without any images. It should work fine. And I frequently created such projects for testing purposes. If you think that you discovered a problem, please send us a sample project for testing.

Hi, PTE AV Studio code fully unloads current show and then loads a new show on Run Slideshow command. There is a short gap and you can see a quick black flash. It didn't appear in the old version 9.0 and earlier - because a screen buffer were not updated and it masked this gap. To fix this flash in current version it will require a serious change in the 3D engine (time and then testing). Honestly, we would prefer not to add this change for current version to avoid new unexpected problems.

Hi, Do you create an executable show for PC/Mac, or MP4 video? This feature doesn't work in a video file MP4/AVI.

I see these problems. Thanks.

Hi Daniel, We didn't change anything in the code which could cause this strange problem. Try to uninstall PTE AV Studio 10.5. Restart Windows. Then reinstall the latest version 10.5.6 Beta again.

Hi, The most likely, the problem occurs with a certain audio file. Start a new test project and add the audio file which cause this problem in MP4 video output. If the problem is confirmed, send us this audio file via WeTransfer.com or Google Drive in a message through https://www.wnsoft.com/en/support/ (add a note: for Igor) or as a personal message on this forum. Or you can send us the entire project in a ZIP archive. Use a command - Create backup in a ZIP from the main menu > File menu. P.S. Please add English translations for your replies for other members.

Thanks, we'll check on Monday.

Fine. Please check other projects other audio clips to make sure that everything works correctly. I also discovered that some videos from smartphones (iPhone) are recorded with mono sound. So this change will affect these video clips, too.

Problem with modifying audio files used on the Time line [CLOSED]
Igor replied to Picsel's topic in Troubleshooting
Daniel, Audio files (and also video clips) of a project are opened and partially loaded by PTE AV Studio. They are ready for instant playback at any moment. Unlike images, PTE AV Studio doesn't load entire file, because a media file can be very large. It's not good idea to replace them outside PTE AV Studio when a project is opened, it will lead to an unexpected behaviour of the opened program. You need to use Replace Audio File command (as you wrote), or close PTE AV Studio and then replace files in Explorer or in other editors. PTE AV Studio loads audio/video files with a soft "read" request and doesn't prohibit writing/replacing of a file for other apps for better compatibility. -
Done: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe

Try a new version 10.5.6 Beta: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe Note, that you need to manually clear the cache of waveforms, or rename a WAV file to update old waveforms.

Strange behaviour with some custom transition working under Win 7 or Win10
Igor replied to Picsel's topic in Troubleshooting
Hi Daniel, When you call Save As command for a project, a folder with resources should be saved under a new name automatically. If it doesn't happen, please send me the original project in a ZIP (before renaming). I'll check it. Note, that if you rename a .pte project file manually in Windows Explorer, you also should manually rename resources folder. -
Daniel, We'll add support for .ts video files in the next update. Earlier PTE didn't support that file format.
-
We fixed this issue today. I'll publish a new Beta tomorrow.
-
Thanks, Jean-Cyprien, Philippe, for the confirmation. I'm very glad! Our team fixed this problem. Please check several projects to make sure tha audio clips play correctly in different situations: playback, pause, rewinding and synchronization.

Hi Jean-Charles, Please try a new version 10.5.6 Beta: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe It should fix this problem with sound lag.
-
Denis, We'll increase width of this button in the next version 11.0.
-
Hi Denis, Sorry for the delay. Can you tell in more details? Do you mean the Objects and animation editor, or the Project Options > Defaults tab?
-
Hi, Does this problem with missing sound occurs with any projects, or with a certain project? Try with a new simple project - 5-10 images and one MP3 music. Encode a MP4 video.

Hi Judy, For PC NVIDIA graphics is the best choice for PTE AV Studio. It's fast and you can use hardware acceleration for video encoding with good quality. NVIDIA Geforce 1060 still excellent video card for PTE AV Studio 10.5 for any tasks. So you can buy any modern NVIDIA graphics from 1060 series and higher (1070, 1650, 1660, 2060, 3060, etc). For laptops I especially recommend NVIDIA dedicated graphics. For Mac New Macs with Apple M1 chip is excellent choice. Apple M1 Pro or M1 Max are ideal choice.
