  1. Jose, Version 9.0.22 just improves a stability of PTE itself. It doesn't affect projects or EXE shows. Yes, you can keep and use together PTE 9 32-bit and new PTE 10 64-bit. No. Traditionally all new versions of PTE can open any projects created/saved in any old version of PTE. For example, old projects created in PTE 5 can be opened directly in PTE 10. I didn't finish this checking yet.
  2. Gary, PTE 9 optimizes video clips for better and faster playback. Not file size. To reduce a file size you can try to slightly reduce Quality parameter in the VideoConverter.
  3. Gary, 60p video usually larger in 1.5-2 times than 30p video (in same video format). More frames - more file size.
  4. Hi, We recommend to install the updated version of PicturesToExe 9.0.22 (published yeasterday) for compatibility with future Windows 10 Update which is planned for April of 2019. In previous versions from 9.0.0 up to 9.0.21 you may see an error message on startup and missing icons in the tree of folders. Microsoft has changed certain API functions for access to icon sets. This problem doesn't appear in created EXE shows. Versions 8.0.x and earlier are not affected.
  5. Gary, File size depends on a video codec (format). For PTE 9 optimal codec is MPEG-4 (Advanced Simple@L1) in AVI file. CPU loading is not high for a playback of a video. But file size is larger. GoPro and other modern cameras record video in H.264 codec (or even H.265 HEVC) which gives smaller file size with same quality. However decoding of H.264 codec requires much more CPU resources. As I wrote earlier, for PTE 10 we used hardware acceleration of a video card and decoding of H.264 videos will not load CPU. So H.264 codec will be optimal for PTE 10. Small file size, fast and smooth playback. No need to convert video file. Or you can use any video convertor to reduce a bitrate (and file size). P.S. Alternate solution for PTE 9 or PTE 10. Create a final video from your project instead of an EXE file. It also solves all problems.
  6. Thanks for the confirmation. We released the official version 9.0.22 today (it's same version which I sent you earlier): Download v9.0.22 here: https://www.wnsoft.com/en/picturestoexe/download/
  7. Hi, I recommend to re-install PicturesToExe 9. It will fix issue with broken file associations and icons.
  8. PicturesToExe 9.0.22 is available: Fixed problem with missing icons in File tree and error message on startup in future Windows 10 v1903. Fixed small problem with File info window for images included as part of a slide style/custom transition.
  9. Please try a new version 9.0.22 Beta: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup.exe It should fix this problem.
  10. I confirm this problem in Windows 10 Insider Preview. We'll fix it soon. Thanks,
  11. My mistake in configuration file, I recently added changes against spam bots. Barry, please check Slideshowclub site again.
  12. Thanks, Barry. I'm working on this problem now.
  13. No worries, I'm glad that you resolved this issue. Alternatively you can drag JPEG images from Windows Explorer window and drop to PicturesToExe window (into the Slide list).
  14. Please describe how exactly you tried to add JPEG images to PicturesToExe project? In the main window of PicturesToExe you can see a tree of folders and list of images. Browse folders and drives to see JPEG images and then add to your project (by double click, or drag and drop images into Slide list below.
  15. Yes, you need to convert your images to JPEG format for PicturesToExe 9 (or to PNG, if your need lossless quality).
  16. Let check the simple thing. Download several any JPEG images from Internet and save into a new folder on your computer (not on a USB drive). Can you see these JPEG images in PicturesToExe? If it works, repeat same for JPEG images from your digital camera copied to your computer.
  17. Hmm, strange. It should work for AVI 1920 x 1080, 30p. I recommend to consider creating of a MP4 video as a final movie for your project. If a project contains many high quality video clips, we recommend to create a MP4 video instead of EXE format. P.S. Future version 10.0 will work faster and better for video clips in EXE shows.
  18. Thanks, Tom, I thought to add add Blu Ray output in future versions. But it seems that this option becoming not so actual? Also I didn't receive any requests from users for Blu-Ray output.
  19. What is the pixel size (width/height) of a created AVI video and FPS?
  20. Try "AVI video" option in the Publish menu of PicturesToExe, and then insert created AVI video into another project,
  21. Hi, Do I understand rightly, that you create a MP4 video in PicturesToExe and then insert it as a video clip into a nother PicturesToExe's project and play it as an EXE file?
  22. Up to 300-500 slides are OK. More than 700 slides may cause noticable delays in work with a project. In theory you can add around 10 000 images. Alternatively you can split your project into several parts.
  23. Hi, Future version 10.0 will support MP4 video with H.265 codec (HEVC) and playback with fast hardware acceleration (on new video cards). For version 9.0 I recommend to use HandBrake - a free open source video converter: https://handbrake.fr/ Personally I also use this great software program. If you plan to create a final EXE show: In HandBrake: in Output Settings > Video tab > Video Codec > change "H.264" option to "MPEG-4". You can keep other options by default. It will create video optimized for PicturesToExe 9.
  24. Lin, Thanks for your review!
