Hi, Thanks, I confirm the problem with this MP3 file in video output. We'll try to fix it after holidays. As a temporary solution convert this MP3 file to WAV file before add to PicturesToExe. Or just re-convert to MP3, it should help.

Slideshowclub allows to embedd YouTube or Vimeo video clips. It would be great if all contributors could add a video in addition to EXE files.

Custom transition changes when sharpening used
Igor replied to Cedric Dawnhawk's topic in Troubleshooting
Andrew, It appears to be a complex problem and fix may take long time. Sorry. -
Andrew, Yes, Windows XP uses old screen mode. PicturesToExe works much better with Windows Vista/7/8/10. Did you try "Run Application and Exit" command? It should help, because only one EXE show will work at any moment of time. Windows XP is not supported officially by PTE 9. It still works, but we cannot guarantee that everything is tested well. PTE 10 will NOT work and run on Windows XP at all.

Andrew, I see this problem, thanks. We'll check the code of PTE. -
I'm glad! Honestly, only the diagnostic information helped found a reason of that problem. I couldn't imagine that Windows 7 still allows set 16 bit limited colors.
-
Thanks, Probably I found a reason of this problem. Check your Display settings in Windows 7. Currently it's set to 16 bit color mode. It should be switched to 32 bit color. More details how to do it: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-1865158/change-color-bits-windows.html I think that 16 bit color mode was set by a mistake, because 32-bit color mode is required by all modern apps to correctly show true colors (many years). P.S. If a computer works well for its tasks, it's no matter how old it is.

Hi, I checked your images and project. Everything is OK. Does this problem occur with images from another source? For example, photos downloaded from Internet. What video card installed in your computer? Press Win + R hotkey and type "dxdiag", press Enter key. Click Save or Export button and please send me exported text file.

Solution of the problem with laptops with NVIDIA graphics and Windows 10
Igor replied to Igor's topic in Troubleshooting
NVIDIA is currently working on another problem with DirectX 9 on dual mobile graphics in laptops. So it really can be related with NVIDIA drivers. You can try to force the update to Windows 10 v1809 right now: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 If you already updated all drivers it can be the only one solution for now. -
Just upload your original image to https://wetransfer.com/ and send me a download link.

Solution of the problem with laptops with NVIDIA graphics and Windows 10
Igor replied to Igor's topic in Troubleshooting
Hi Marco, I don't remember any reports about this error many years. PicturesToExe 9 requires DirectX 9 and DirectX 9 is a basic component of any version of Windows last 12 years. For some reason DirectX 9 configuration on your computer were corrupt. I recommend to update Windows 10 to the latest version (v1809, October 2018 Update) which Microsoft is distributing now. It will fix DirectX configuration. -
Hi, Please upload one original image (in a ZIP archive) which cause this problem in PicturesToExe. I'll check it.

Speed Options not converted correctly from PTE5.6 to PTE9 [SOLVED]
Igor replied to jkb's topic in Troubleshooting
Jill, Glad that it helped. This problem might happen because the project initially was created in a Beta version. PTE 9 includes many changes in the format of .pte project file. Any project created in Beta versions of any previous versions, better to Re-Save in PTE 8 and then open in PTE 9. You can check .pte file in Notepad. Line No. 3 shows PTE version: PteVersion= ... -

Barry, I meant a possible alternative, output to a MP4 video at 1920x1080 60p, as a temporary solution. -

Hi, Thanks for all your suggestions for the future version of PicturesToExe! Excuse me that I don't reply on all requests, but I read all suggestions. It's difficult to promiss firmly what will be added to PTE 10, because we have a lot of work for this new version. Our main work is concentrated on the following major improvements: 1. 64-bit version of PTE 10. 2. Dark interface. 3. Mac version. 4. Hardware acceleration for the graphical interface (partially it's related with a Mac version to write as possible common code). This improvement will provide fast and smooth scrolling in the File list, Slide list and in the Timeline view. 5. Advanced slide styles and Slide Themes (groups of slide styles). 6. New fast video decoders and video encoders with full hardware acceleration for smooth playback of all modern video files.

Barry, tell me in more details. It's a subject of quality, file size, or a lack of interactivity? -

Barry, I understand you. Probably for this case MP4 output at 1080 60p would be a temporarily solution? -

We received a new reply from NVIDIA. They found a reason of this problem and NVIDIA with Microsoft are working on it. -
Tom, Thanks, I see this problem. When an object has a certain sharp angle in 3D space the antialiasing doesn't look perfect or looks completely off. I will think how to fix it in PTE 10. We can easily enable antiliasing from NVIDIA/AMD, but I'm afraid to see visual artefacts in some case. Because large images in PTE are constructed from an array of small textures. And we need a fine control to disable antialiasing on internal edges of such textures. I 'll perform new checks.
-
Tom, Send me your project with one slide. I will check it. Antialiasing for Image and Video objects in PTE should work absolutely ideally without any defects. Forced antialiasing from NVIDIA may add a grid of visual artefacts in the middle of an image.
