Hi, Please try the following: in the Publish menu choose DVD video > in VideoBuilder click the Project Options > change Audio Format from "MPEG Audio" to "LPCM". Let me know about a result. Try to create ISO image with your disc instead of burning of a DVD in VideoBuilder. Thse options are located on the last page of VideoBuilder before you start video encoding / DVD burning. Then you can burn ISO image to a DVD media in Windows Explorer, or use ImgBurn free utility: www.imgburn.com

Linking clips on the same track to the same slide
Igor replied to jt49's topic in Suggestions for Next Versions
Well, I see your arguments. They're reasonable. I will check again for possible pitfalls for linking 2 or more audio clips to same slide on same track. -
PicturesToExe 9.0.19 is available: Fixed problem with adding audio files which contain specific Unicode symbols. Fixed issue with incorrect pixel values in Image Crop parameters and Border parameter. PicturesToExe and executable shows work on Intel graphics by default in laptops with NVIDIA dual graphics (as earlier in all versions of PicturesToExe before 9.0.15). This decision is related with a poor performance of NVIDIA graphics on laptops under Windows 10 April 2018 Update (v1803). More info. Other minor improvements.

Poor performance under Win10 (v1803) on laptops with dual NVIDIA graphics
Igor replied to chanfi22's topic in Troubleshooting
Today I checked two other laptops with NVIDIA graphics and Windows 10 April 2018 Update (v1803). 1. Laptop with Geforce 1050 + Intel graphics has same problem with poor performance. And PTE 9.0.19 (with Intel graphics by default) works better than previous version 9.0.18 (NVIDIA graphics by default). 2. Laptop with a single video card NVIDIA Geforce 1060 (no Intel graphics) works without any problem - fast and smooth. So if you consider to buy a new fast laptop, I recommend to prefer a model with a single video card - Geforce 1060. Or choose a laptop with AMD graphics. While NVIDIA and Intel didn't fix this problem, I recommend to avoid purchasing of laptops with NVIDIA + Intel dual graphics. -
Poor performance under Win10 (v1803) on laptops with dual NVIDIA graphics
Igor replied to chanfi22's topic in Troubleshooting
Regrettably NVIDIA didn't fix the problem with a slow performance of mobile NVIDIA GeForce in laptops under Windows 10 April 2018 Update (v1803). Since PTE 9.0.15 (January 2018) we used NVIDIA graphics on laptops by default to improve performance. However now with Windows 10 v1803 it caused great problem with jerky playback of PTE presentations. Same problem also occurs with Proshow presentations. It means that it's a problem in NVIDIA drivers or in Windows 10. So I see only one solution for now. Use again Intel graphics by default in laptops with NVIDIA graphics. Because it works much better than broken NVIDIA graphics. If NVIDIA (or Microsoft) will fix the problem, we can again switch to NVIDIA graphics. PTE 9.0.19 Beta: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup.exe Users of Windows 7/8 and old versions of Windows 10 still can manually choose NVIDIA graphics for PTE for best performance. P.S. This described problem doesn't occur with desktop computers, and NVIDIA graphics works ideally well. New PTE 9.0.19 will not bring any changes for these desktop computers. -

Thanks, no worries. I will check again tomorrow. Probably I forgot something about audio clips. -
Linking clips on the same track to the same slide
Igor replied to jt49's topic in Suggestions for Next Versions
Can you explain in more details benefits of linking two or more audio clips on same track to same slide? If a link first audio clip to a slide, all next audio clips (on same track) automatically become linked. When you move a slide, these audio clips also is being moved. This is why the timeline view doesn't allow to link other audio clips if this track already contain one linked audio clip. The Project Options allows it, but indicates about an error (red color of an caption). -
Roel, Thanks for the file. I've received your link and will download and check it on Monday.

Lin, It's strange problem. It seems that Chrome cache the DNS records for wnsoft.com and don't want to update it.
-
Roel, Please send me a private message through the forum with a public download link. P.S. I edited your message to exclude email.
-
Tom, Good idea, but it's not easy task.
-
Jill, Thanks, I will check this issue today later.
-
Lin, I moved wnsoft.com to a new server 3 days ago. Usually any changes in DNS records take 5-10 hours (up to 48 hours). Try to press Ctrl+F5 to refresh web page. Or type in a command line: ipconfig /flushdns If it does not help, restart Windows.

OK, thanks. We took a new laptop with dual NVIDIA + Intel graphics. And I will check work of PTE 9 on Windows 10 with latest update and new drivers. I hope that NVIDIA finally fixed their problem with poor performance in Windows 10 April 2018 update (v1803).

Roel, Can you send me a link to your EXE file which cause this problem?
-
Bert, Nowadays majority of email servers does not accept ANY executable files as attachments. You can upload file to Dropbox, Google Drive and send the link by email.
-
Manuel, Thanks! And PTE 9 works fast now with latest drivers?
-
Manuel, Please can you run dxdiag utility (press Win+R > type dxdiag > press Enter) and send me a saved report? I will check what drivers are installed now. It may help other users solve same problem.
-
Manuel, Thanks!

Hi Paiche, Thanks for your permission!

Hi Paiche, Thanks for these impressive art styles! Please can you give me a permission to include them to future PTE 10?
-
Thanks, Lin! Two nice simulations of watches from you and Dave at same time
-
Yes, the animation is elegant.
-
Thanks, Dave! Nice implementation.

Gary, Thanks. Yes, traditional "linear" Dissolve becomes more "smooth" with long duration, whereas smooth Dissolve looks "smooth" even with short duration. All versions of PTE include "linear" Dissolve transition. 15 years ago, one user asked me for a smooth Dissolve and we added it as an experimental option to PTE 4.4.x. You can experiment with smooth transition. See the file link above. If it really looks good, we can include this transition to future PTE 10.
