  1. Can you explain in more details? PTE already allows adding a batch of images at once to the slide list.
  2. My congratulations, Lin!!
  3. Tom, I need to check all files to exactly determine a reason of this difference. Please send me both 4K videos (created in PTE 9 and another video editor). And original photo (the man) which was used to create both 4K videos.
  4. Bruno, Thanks for your suggestion. I agree, it would be useful. I added to my TODO list.
  5. Thanks for your response and question! Future version PTE 10 will use new fast video decoders. All modern video codecs will be supported. New video decoders effectively use multiple threads for decoding and hardware acceleration to reduce CPU loading. I recently tested 3-4 FullHD video clips together on one slide. One 4K UltraHD video also plays in real time. Public Beta version should be ready later this year.
  6. Barry, Good idea. Is it reasonable to add a limit for max number of opened images? For example, 25.
  7. Denis, Please try a new version: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup.exe
  8. Hi Darryll, EXE format is ideally optimized for images, not for videos. If a project contains high quality video clips (1920 x 1080 or even 4K), especially a mix of two or more video clips on one slide, we recommend to create MP4 video file. So PicturesToExe 9 can work with video content and video output would be the best option. We announced only video output in 4K, not for input video files. In future PTE 10 we did a large work to improve support and playback of "heavy" video files. It became possible since new video decoders finally got support of hardware acceleration. So PTE 10 should easily handle playback of 1920x1080 videos (even a mix of 2-3 video clips). And I can warily declare that 4K video clips (1 on a slide) should be played smooth on modern computers. We plan to show first public Beta of PTE 10 in November-December of 2018.
  9. Mick, Dave, Thanks! I fixed this problem with comments on Slideshowclub. Please can you check this?
  10. It's a false positive. I sent a report to developers of this antivirus. P.S. We highly recommend to use a free and safe Microsoft antivirus.
  11. I agree, we'll fix it. Thanks.
  12. Denis, Thanks for the confirmation!
  13. PicturesToExe 9.0.18 is available: Fixed problem with playback of audio clips which appeared within first 50 ms of audio as a sound “click” and waveform was distorted. Usually this problem doesn’t appear, because first 200-300 ms of audio files contain silence. Fixed problem of cutting of last 20-50 ms in last audio clip. This problem also usually is not visible, because end of audio clips contain silence. Slightly improved accuracy of audio keypoints (sound volume) during playback. Fixed problem with PNG images in a fullscreen preview and in created EXE files which were rotated in the File list or Slide list. Fixed problem with drag’n’drop of variants of custom transition.
  14. Denis, Try new Beta version: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup.exe
  15. Denis, Try a new version. This problem should be solved now: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup.exe However the problem still will occur with PNG images which you recently added to any PicturesToExe 9 project. To completely solve the problem: A. Rename PNG images and add again to PicturesToExe 9. B. Or remove all files from the folder: C:\Users\YourProfileName\AppData\Local\PicturesToExe\Versions\9.0\ConvertedImages\
  16. Thanks, we know about this problem and it will be fixed soon.
  17. I created a new topic Poor performance under Win10 (v1803) on laptops with dual NVIDIA graphics and moved last posts there.
  18. Please try a new version 9.0.18 BETA: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup.exe This update improves audio playback and quality of waveform: Fixed problem with playback of audio clips which appeared within first 50 ms of audio as a sound “click” and waveform was distorted.
  19. Dave, Desktop computers with NVIDIA Geforce 1060 work fine with the latest update of Windows 10. Fast and smooth work of PTE. And hardware encoding of video works fine. The problem occurs only with laptops with dual graphics (NVIDIA + Intel).
  20. I noticed another problem on laptops with NVIDIA + Intel graphics after update to Windows 10 (version 1803), Hardware encoding of video does not work in future PTE 10. And ffmpeg app has same problem. So we observe at least 2 problems: 1. Poor performance of NVIDIA graphics. 2. No hardware acceleration for video encoding.
  21. I will report to NVIDIA about this problem today.
  22. We tried to update drivers, or install old drivers (for Intel and NVIDIA graphics). Without success. Performance is very bad in many 3D applications including PicturesToExe 9. If you have a laptop with dual graphics NVIDIA + Intel DO NOT update Windows 10 (to version 1803) while NVIDIA and Intel are not fixed problems in their drivers. I think it may take 1-2 months.
  23. I checked work of executable show created in Proshow Producer 9 and found same problem with performance. By default, Proshow executable plays not smooth, FPS is low. If I force this app on NVIDIA card - I see same problem. If I force app for Intel graphics - it works better. Same for PTE 9 shows. So we can conclude that it's a critical bug in NVIDIA drivers for Windows 10 (v1803). Sample with Proshow executable
  24. Dave, Philippe, We reproduced the problem with a slow work of PTe 9 on our test laptop with NVIDIA+Intel dual graphics under latest update of Windows 10 (v1803).
  25. Adrian, It may take more time to fix this problem. Such companies don't work quickly.
