Gary, Thanks for sending me ProjectsExtraData folder. Normally PTE automatically remembers last chosen folder in the FIle List, regardless Save command. And this path is recorded in ProjectsExtraData folder. The folder path could be changed only if you opened some project and changed the folder in the File List panel. Usually it works well. Probably you changed it after loading a project? If you delete ProjectsExtraData folder, PTE will read saved folder path from each project file on loading. Or try to choose another folder in the File panel for some project, do not save the project and close PTE AV Studio. Check ProjectsExtraData folder, it should contains an updated record for this project. I just checked - it works this way on my PC.

Hi, I've seen your another message that this issue occurs with Norton antivirus software. It's a false positive with Norton software, because a custom transition effect ( .pteeff file) is a simple ZIP archive with a project file and images insides. Project file is a text file. Every user can easily extract these files to check its content. Microsoft Windows Defender allows to download all custom transitions/styles. No problems. I created 4 test files. Two custom transitions (with and without additional image) and two slide styles (also with and without logo image). Try to download each file and let me know about the results. P.S. Hi Gary, Usually it should work the following algorithm: Once you Save/Save As a project, the saved includes a parameter: ImagesFolder=C:\MyFolder\Images\ However it's possible that user chooses another folder for the FIle List without saving a project. PTE uses a special global storage here: C:\Users\YourProfileName\AppData\Local\PicturesToExe\ProjectsExtraData\ "ProjectsExtraData" contains text files (named as .dat files) where certain .pte project file is associated with a certain folder which should be displayed in the File List on loading a project. This global storage has a higher priority on loading of a project. And only if this global storage doesn't has a record for a project (new computer, renamed project), PTE reads and uses a folder path from a .pte project file (ImagesFolder parameter). You can make a backup of "ProjectsExtraData" folder in a ZIP and send me for checking. Also open 1-2 projects where wrong path is displayed on loading. don't save them. Send me these 2 projects (only .pte files) for checking in a personal message. You can delete "ProjectsExtraData" folder, and it will force PTE to load default folder from each .pte file. Then the global storage will be updated automatically with new records for recently loaded projects.

Hi Andrew, If I understood rightly, you need the Mac version of PTE AV Studio 11 ? There was a known problem with automatic updates in one of the previous releases. It was solved some time ago. Anyway, there is an easy way to install the latest version - 11.0.15. Just download it from WnSoft website: https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/download/ and install (copy) to Applications folder replacing the old installed version. All your projects, settings, styles and templates will be saved automatically - don't worry! Your license key will work with any version of v11.0.X, including the latest 11.0.15. If you really need a specific old version, I can send it specifically for you. I will glad to help you.

Hi Debbie, We recommend the following solution (for V11): 1. Uninstall PTE AV Studio 11 (remove the program icon to the Trash Bin). 2. Reset settings of PTE AV Studio 11. Download the following special uninstaller and run it. https://files.wnsoft.com/pteavstudio/RemovePTEAVStudio.app-11-0.zip Run this utility. Tick an option 'Reset PTE AV Studio configuration'. Confirm the uninstallation. 3. Install PTE AV Studio 11 again from DMG package to Applications. Download from WnSoft website here. Run PTE AV Studio 11 again. P.S. Your projects will be saved, and not removed after the reinstallation of PTE AV Studio.

Thanks for the details. We need to know the exact PTE version. And if it possible, we need to find a series of actions how to reproduce this issue. If you use the latest version, it should be very rare problem, because I didn't receive any reports on the similar problem this year.

There is no limit to perfection! We'll think about how to develop this new product, but we want to keep the simple interface and low price. Now our main efforts are concentrated at improving PTE 12.

Hello, In PTE Video Optimiser we have added a new video output option - AV1 (.webm) in addition to H.264 (.mp4). AV1 (.webm) is a new video codec with high compression efficiency, which is becoming more and more popular now. You can create AV1 videos with HD, 4K or even 8K quality. To create 8K, you need at least 16 GB of memory! AV1 is an open standard. New TVs manufactured in the last 2-3 years usually support playback of AV1 video files from a USB memory stick. VLC player can play AV1. Netflix uses the AV1 format for its streaming service. In PTE AV Studio 12, we will also add support for creating AV1 videos. The downside of AV1 format is that video playback often does not yet have hardware support, using more of CPU loading on a PC or Mac. We observed a similar issue in the old version after use of slide styles. This issue was fixed more than one year ago. 3. Check the Slide Options for each slide in this project. Main tab > "Keep full slide duration" option is ticked or not?

Select several videos (slides) with the mouse cursor (or hold the Ctrl key and click to a video clip) and apply common settings (except of the Trim). A license key should only be requested once. You need to click the Activate button after entering the key. Do you have a PC or Mac?
