  1. I checked my settings for Video and they were completely flat - 50% Saturation and 180 for Hue. The video was "oversaturated" compared to the EXE. I tried the alternative setting of "use the video player setting" and this made the EXE and Video appear the same. Please note that the settings refered to are purely for "Video" and do not for "Display". In my case they are found in the nVidia Control Panel. I seem to remember that Igor has mentioned this on another occasion and I "thought" that I had addressed it at that time. Can these settings change after a Driver update?? DG
  2. In a comparison of screen grabs from exe and mp4 the difference is obvious. DG
  3. Hi Bert, I have tried a test as you requested and, Yes......the colours in the MP4 version are more saturated than in the EXE version. I have never noticed this before. Time to load up a previous Beta and test....... but not tonight. DG
  4. Bert, Just to start the questions, are you using the default high quality preset or have you customized anything? Have you tried Igor's recommended Media Player Classic-Home Cinema? DG
  5. Sam, Some questions that need to be answered: 1. If it was a MAC was it running Windows "emulation"? 2. What format were the PSG/PSP files? 3. Was the other PTE File an EXE or an MP4? 4. Can you get together with the other PTE guy and compare notes? 5. What was the Media Player on which your MP4 was being played? The volume controls in Windows Media Player and the prefered Media Player Classic-Home Cinema (and even Quick Time) are easily found and if, when they were last used, the volume was turned down then they would have to be turned up again for the next show. This seems like a likely answer to what went "wrong" but without knowing all of the other variables it is a difficult one to pin down. DG
  6. Were all of the shows mp4? If not then yours was being subjected to two volume controls - the vol control of the media player and the master volume. Exe files are only controlled by the master volume control. DG P.S. I make the assumption that your show was, as you said, properly set up.

  9. This has been explained. By decompressing the video the loading is not as severe. Consequently you have a larger file size but it is less drain on resources to run. That is the way I understood it. DG
  10. Comment: The subsequent slides are not necessary to this example. The Audio of the video will continue even though the slides have (apparently) stopped (in the preview) if the total slide duration is less than the Video Duration. DG
  11. Denis, When I open PTE it opens with "Last saved project" (my choice). So, to start a new project I always must use "File/new". DG
  12. Denis, I also lost my "Template for new projects" some time ago. Go to manage templates an set it again. Make sure that it has "stuck". When I now open a new project I do not get the option to change the ar. DG P.S. You should not use "Blank Project" as a name - it will not overwrite the PTE default "Blank Project" and you will have two "Blank Projects" in your list. The "Delete" button is not available for the PTE Default "Blank Project" which is always at the top of the Template List. I use a unique name - "1920x1080 Blank". I suspect that because these "Blank Projects" are saved in different folders you are not asked if you want to overwrite and in your case there is some confusion regarding which "Blank Project" is being applied. Perhaps Igor should consider "BLANK PROJECT is not a valid name". Online Help: http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/techniques/templates
  13. I have just tried a test according to your instructions and all three - Pan, Zoom and Rotate - are available in all KF. Have you changed the "Linear" speed to something else anywhere?? You have probably altered the Speed Mode on the outside KF and not separated the sections. http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/objects-and-animation/linearity DG
  14. Ray, Did you get my PM and was it of any help? DG
  15. Been there!! BTW, it is nothing new - items crop up from time to time which have not previously been covered. When I see something like this I look at the OH to see if it can be improved and add to the knowledge base. DG
  16. Hi Anthony, I have added a short piece at the bottom of the Hotkeys article. If you can add anything or improve on it please do so? DG P.S. a search on WACOM finds it immediately.
  17. I have updated the Hotkey section of the Online Help with some information regarding some Wacom Tablets and how they can be used to Simulate the Ctrl; Shift and Mouse Wheel. I have had this demonstrated to me by a Tablet User so it is not conjecture. The Tablets which were demonstrated were the Intuos 3 and 4 using PicturesToExe 8. I have been given to understand that other Tablets in common use can be configured in the same way. DG
  18. Search for a thread started by t8keiteasy last September. It might be the same problem? DG
  19. Try sending (forwarding) the same e-mail to someone you trust so that it can be tried and all possible e-mail problems can be eliminated. DG
  20. Well, you CAN cut/copy and paste a new one but you can also type it in? xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx If I copy and paste from my e-mail or archive of serial numbers I don't get any A-V problems. A little more detail might help - is your contact trying to Cut/Copy and Paste from an email? The same person would (?) get problems cutting and pasting ANYTHING from anywhere to anywhere else under those circumstances. It is just text. DG
  21. Presumably we are talking about an old style pre-Version 8 product key? DG
  22. A one second transition with "Use Background from slide" and "Transparent background of slide" enabled. DG Mind the doors.ptef
  23. Thanks for the update John. DG
  24. The Style produces a Simple Carousel of Nine images. Drag Nine SQUARE Images into the Slide List and Apply the Style (after importing it). This wil produce Nine Slides with the Simple Carousel appearance. Optionally, change the Background to a Light Gray Graduated BG. Run in Loop Mode. Carousel 9.ptestyle Demo: Carousel 9.zip DG
  25. This has been added to the Online Help / Styles page. http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/slide-styles/create_style#add_a_text_comment_to_a_style DG
