  1. I have tried that as well. My initial setup was with the offset. As I said above I have tried all sorts of variations. Even just using a single image & a straight video - no masks - with an offset it doesn't work. Another problem I have just encountered when trying to add in a 2nd mask & video. Even though the Mask contents should different file names, it was only showing one video in both Masks. Lots of problems. Maybe Igor can have a look Trying to get this finished for a public show, so having to use workarounds which makes it more difficult Jill
  2. That is exactly what I have done and yes that works. But as soon as I put an offset on the video on slide 1 it no longer works. Jill
  3. I am trying to run a video over 2 (or more) slides. PTE10 but also tried in PTE9 It is in a Mask, but I don't think that is causing the problem I insert the video on slide 1 Set the start time (1:27.768) & an Offset of 6 secs I set it to Master Video Copy the Video (along with the Mask) to Slide 2 It automatically sets it as a Linked video. I change the offset back to zero on slide 2. When I play the sequence, the video starts playing after 6 secs on slide 1 - correct It continues playing smoothly for the duration of the Transition - correct Then at the end of the Transition the video jumps back to it's start point & sits for 6 secs before playing again I have tried various Transition durations includeing zero - all the same problem Help! what am I doing wrong or is it a bug? I have tried various tests - running the video straight without a Mask leaving the offset as 0 before copying to slide 2 changing slide 1 back to single video then changing the offset & change back to Master Video But whatever I try I cannot get it to work correctly. I am sure I have done this in the past without problems. Tried on 3 PC's Windows 10, Windows 7 & a Windows 8.1 recently updated to 10 Jill PS If I make the transition longer than the offset on slide 1 then the video continues playing smoothly for the duration of slide 2 But if I then reduce the transition time back to less than the offset it does the jump as above. Even if I change the offset to zero it still seems to remember the original time & jumps on slide 2. So a strange bug PPS If I initially make the video on slide 1 start from 0 & have 0 offset, then it all works OK If I then try to add an offset to slide 1 it doesn't do it. Although the offset time is set to 6 secs the video still plays from the start of the slide. If I change slide 1 back to single video, the offset works. But as soon as I change it back to Master Video the problem with slide 2 occurs. I have now tried so many variations & order of doing things, but I cannot get it to work correctly
  4. Click on the white box next to the bold etc. This is the colour, you can use the eyedropper to pick up a colour from the image if you want. To scroll you use keyframes. Set your text at the start position for the first keyframe. Add another keyframe at the point you want the text to stop scrolling and then move the text to that position. PTE will do the rest. It really is easy. Jill
  5. You can do the same with WeTransfer. Send it to yourself, then send the link to anyone else. The link is only active for 7 days. We use it all the time for sending AV's. If you do send to someone else's email, the advantage is that you receive an email when they download it. 2gb limit on the free version. Jill
  6. For frames and masks I set the object name with something descriptive. Not as good as a comment but it helps. Jill
  7. Do you only need to do this once? I installed the PTE 10 on a computer with internet, then copied the download file and my key to a computer without internet and it installed and works fine. I have subsequently installed the latest updates in the same way. Jill
  8. copy the download file to a usb pen drive & then install from that. Jill
  9. Ps you can also change the dissolve time in slide view or in slide options. Not as easy as in timeline, but possible.
  10. Mike, have you maybe shrunk the size of that window? Put your mouse on the line above the timeline so that it changes to a double headed arrow and hold left mouse and drag upwards. Otherwise look for a vertical scroll bar on the right hand side. Or go into full screen timeline view, the little triangle next to the slide view/ timeline view buttons. You should then be able to see the dissolve times. Jill
  11. You need to make a separate exe for the menu. It can be 1 slide or several. In objects and animation / properties tab, use the action on mouse click and select run application or open file and then select the show you want to run. The menu exe will then run each show when you click on it and return when the show finishes. Jill
  12. Thank you for fixing so quickly, that works now. Jill
  13. Thanks for looking at this. Just done another test & seems that the transition runs for the duration of the first slide (whatever it's length) If the first slide duration is shorter than the 2nd slide transition then it doesn't play all the way through. Checked in 10.0.8 & it plays all the way through whatever the duration of slide 1. Something must have changed from 10.0.8 (or 9) to 10.0.10 & subsequent versions. Jill
  14. Thanks Igor, now works OK. See PM Jill
  15. Igor, see PM for link to download. Changing the file extension to MP4 worked. Thanks Jill
  16. I have just been sent an .m4v video file that I want to use in PTE The file does not show in the Filelist & it cannot be added to the Slide list via drag & drop from explorer. I can play the video in VLC Player & PTE can run it as an Application using action on mouse click. I need to trim the start of the video, but cannot do this with PTE. Jill
  17. Igor, this still isn't working in 10.0.11 build 6. Did you manage to recreate the problem? It only plays about 1 sec of the transition, then stops & repeats. I have tried on 2 computers Win7 & Win10, both the same. Jill
  18. Igor, please see PM for project & for the 'Black Flash' problem Jill
  19. Thanks, I will send tomorrow as it is on my main computer. Jill
  20. In 10.0.11 & 10.0.10 when you go to Slide options/Tranitions it is no longer playing the transition for the correct duration. Itt only plays for about 1 sec then repeats. In previous versions it worked correctly. EG. A transition of 10secs would play for 10secs in the small window. Now it only plays for about 1 sec The duration is correct in the main window, but wrong in the Slide Options/Transition window. Jill
  21. HI Igor, yes it is a black flash, but seems slightly longer than 1 sec. I have reduced the size of the image to 142kb - it is 1920x1080 & the flash is still very visible. I would have thought that with the background set to the image it would show that rather than black. We are running a competition online this week & I have made a short 2 slide seq to act as a timer of 1 minute to show between each entry from my Menu. As there are 82 entries I need to play this 82 times. I did not want the black flash to show. I am using run slideshow with return. I cannot really include this 'timer' within the main Menu. Jill
  22. I am sure I have done this in the past without problems. I have an exe with 2 slides, the first slide has zero transition time, so should come up immediately. However a black slide is always shown, then the first image appears. I have set both Project Options & Slide Options to have the background the same as the first image, but I still get a Black. How do I get rid of the black. I need to get this working for an online show in a couple of days. Using the latest 10.0.11 Jill
  23. Denis, this was a fault which has now been fixed. Download the latest version 10.0.11 Jill
  24. Gary, on the first slide make the video a master video. Add a blank slide of a suitable shorter duration and then link the video to this. You will need to move this blank to the left in the main timeline to the point where you want to edit the opacity etc. If there is still more video after this, add another blank slide and again link the video. You will now have a shorter time duration, so it will be much easier to see the keyframes. You can add as many blank slides and link to the master video as needed to be able to edit the keyframes. You may need to adjust the durations of the blanks to get them to the position you need. Also if you work with two monitors then stretch the O and A window across both to give you a wider window. Jill
  25. At our AV group meetings we have sessions for work in progress. People can show their projects for constructive comments and help. They are very useful. I support the suggestion of a separate section for this purpose. Jill
