  6. Hi friends, I want to make a comparison of work in the Proshow Producer and PTE AV programs again. For example, I chose a project that I initially did for Proshow Producer. But I have long wanted to do it for PTE AV, since it demonstrates the wonderful animation capabilities of the program well. This project uses only 3 gifs and no footage at all. (Although in PTE I would have managed without gifs. I was just lazy, since I already had gifs). All animation is done using png images and several sprites. Working with animation in this program is much more convenient and I improved many processes. It is much more convenient that you can link layers without complex manipulations. This is very important in character animation, since there are many separate elements of one character. And each element is animated separately. But all this should be a single whole. Also, various special effects, such as bursting soap bubbles or glittering stars, are conveniently made with sprites. I also really like working with sound in PTE AV. Many sound effects make the video more interesting. In Proshow Producer, I had big problems adding sounds. There is a limit on adding 1 sound per slide. And if more than 1 sound is needed? I had to convert sounds to mp4 and add them as video files, setting their visibility to 0. And there was often a desynchronization with sounds. In PTE AV, I added more sounds than in the original, finally I was able to implement all my ideas! I invite you to watch. Can you guess which of the pictures are gifs? If you are interested in the project, the link for purchase is given under the YouTube video. Aleina.

  9. Hi friends, I decided to show you another project from a cute series. The design is made in sepia color scheme. The project is perfect for a variety of purposes, it can be used as a greeting video for birthdays and other significant dates. And you can simply, without reason, insert photos of the baby to give him a great mood. Small children love such videos and watch them many, many times. The project is easy to edit. You can just replace the photos in the folder and you're all set! If you are interested, the link to purchase is below the YouTube video. Aleina

  19. Hi Igor, Thank you to your team for such great programs and for listening to users! I have a long-standing dream of functionality that I would like to see in both PTE and Video Optimizer. This is the ability to copy at least such settings as color correction. There are always a lot of numbers, it is difficult to remember them, you always have to use a notepad to make similar settings in another file. In Optimizer, so that you can copy the settings to another file. Or make it possible to replace a file with ready-made, applied settings. I used to make suggestions for such functionality in PTE, so that you can copy NOT ALL, but certain settings to another keyframe, as well as to an object on another slide. And I was offered several options, such as making a copy of a keyframe or a copy of an object or a copy of a slide, but believe me, I know and use all of these methods, but they are far from suitable for all tasks. As a result of my projects, I get such sheets of paper in which I myself then get confused. Maybe someday...

  20. Congratulations and thanks to the Team! This is absolutely the must addition to the PTE! So far just couple of questions: 1.Do we have to Import converted Video into the Project or it going to be somehow linked to the Video Optimizer and done while rendering the Project? 2. In order to compare the results it would be great to have Option to turn applied settings off/on momentarily. Once again thanks a lot. Great work! Hope we'll see more upcoming surprises Alex55

  26. Nice work, Aleina! So much has changed since Photodex went out of business. I originally started with PTE around 2002 I migrated to PS shortly thereafter and stayed with them until the end. For what I needed, the workflow was easy and the results worked well for me. The best thing that happened with the PS end was their recommended alternative. Not satisfactory to me at all and I found my way back to PTE AV Pro. I haven't looked back. I discovered your PS and PTE work. In fact, I've bugged you for a couple of conversions (thank you!). Your work is top notch and I've used several of your templates for grandchildren, new births (family and friends), and other occasions. Your templates make easy, fun gifts! I better stop or someone is going to think I get a commission. 😇 Keep up the good work. I highly recommend your templates.

  28. Pretty happy with this AV albeit maybe a little long. More of a informative presentation supported by images for people interested in bird photography. All images are mine and captured locally in my area. AI used to assist with text and voice generation. The Northern Rivers region of New South Wales is one of Australia’s most biodiverse areas, renowned for its lush landscapes and rich ecosystems. This region is a haven for birdwatching and photography alike. Capturing vibrant images of native birds in this area requires more than just technical knowledge—it’s about understanding the birds and their environment. Ciao Mark

  30. Using the capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI), I asked famous people to smile at us all from their photos. A smile will make everyone happier! Not everything turned out as I wanted. Some videos look like their characters, some - not so much, it's not for me to judge. The project used the Hailuo AI neural network.

  31. In addition to Jill's comments: Files or Images which are added to a Slide in Objects and Animation are not automatically assigned a "Main Object" Status. Until a Main Object Status is assigned the Highlighting does not take place in the File/Image List. It is the Main Image Status which determines whether or not the Highlighting takes place in the File/Image List. DG

  33. For a year, every Wednesday, a group of eight friends - set off into the breathtaking landscapes of the Northern Rivers region in New South Wales Australia. Their cameras in hand or slung over their back and adventure in their hearts. Each of them had a distinct style, but it was their shared love for the unassuming beauty of the world around them was what bound them together. They were not just a group of wanderers, but more than that, they were explorers of the mundane, artists with a shared curiosity for the overlooked beauty of their local area. It wasn’t about the perfect shot or specifically the latest trend; it was about the joy of discovering what others might walk past without noticing. The joy of locating new places or revisiting old places looking for that unique shot. Each week, they met at a different spot – weather permitting. Sometimes it was by the Richmond River, where the water in the river flowed into the ocean or one of the nearby Ballina beaches. Other times, they wandered through ancient rainforests outside Lismore, where the green of the trees was so thick it felt like stepping into another world. They also ventured through the coastal hills of Byron Bay, Iluka and the country charm of Grafton, the rocky outcrops and rolling fields creating the perfect contrast of nature’s chaos and calm. One of their favourite places was the beaches, on the outskirts of Ballina. There was an unspoken rhythm to their wanderings. They didn’t rush, didn’t have a schedule. The day unfolded slowly, one frame at a time. Once on site, the group would wander in different directions, checking in with one another for the famed morning cuppa, sometimes showing a photo, they were proud of, sometimes solving the problems of the world or laughing at something ridiculous. Often the discussion was about a bird caught on the edge of a frame or a picture-perfect moment ruined by one of the wanderer’s in the image. Occasionally, after the famed cuppa, they’d gather for lunch at a pie or fish shop, for a well-earned and hearty lunch. They’d swap stories, discuss new techniques they’d tried, or share the odd frustrations of a shot that didn’t quite come out as planned. They all saw the world through a unique lens and camera. All were digital aficionados, on the lookout for dramatic contrasts and bold, vivid colours, or soft pastels hues plus the odd stick here and there. Here is one of my images from each Wednesday Wander I attended in 2024. Cheers Mark

  35. I recently purchased a M4 Pro Mac mini with 24 GB of memory and 1 TB SSD. I added an Samsung T7 external 4 TB SSD for multimedia files. Performance and compatibility with PTE have been excellent. PTE can create a show (data or video) with four perfectly smooth 4K videos on a split screen. The Mac mini is very small and low power computer that is powerful enough for video editing. For many years Windows was my favorite operating system but as I grow older I find Win 11 more difficult to use with features that I do not want or need. I am very happy PTE runs natively on Apple silicon.

  36. Me too! I can't imagine adjusting a video clip without having the audio tracks (with my Atomos recorder I often record on 2 different stereo tracks), and these tracks must be of adjustable height. Currently, PTE only takes into account the first stereo track, which forces me to go through Da Vinci Resolve to prepare my video clips. For the moment I continue to use Da Vinci Resolve to edit the videos, since unfortunately PTE does not offer me the tools I need. Igor, I am sorry to have to write such a negative message, because usually I greatly appreciate the work you do with your team and I am the first to promote it.

  39. That's good to hear! I used "Strong" preset (for the city) and "Normal" preset (the flower). Expand = 0 for both cases. "Expand" option can be used together with the "Strong" preset if you still observe some undesired shaky motion in a picture. This option will crop some part of a video picture (edges) reducing undesired motion. I recommend to try Expand = 5...10% When you use "Strong" preset, the program analyzes 30/30 frames (forward/backward) for each frame to perform the optimal stabilization.

  40. Many thanks for sharing these excellent examples for video stabilization function in PTE Video Optimizer! Looks very convincing. I think this function can be very useful for old videos when cameras didn't have optical stabilizer, or it didn't work well.

  43. The images were shot within a 3 night stay just beside the Story Bridge in Brisbane. I made the effort to be up at dawn to make the most of the light, but also at dusk too. I confess I was not shooting with this AV in mind, but ended up with enough images for it to be considered. The images were shot and created in June 2024 and an AV was started at the time, but I couldn’t find music that inspired me or an approach that encouraged me. So, I sat on the project for around 4 months and when I came back to it, I found something to get me started. I have quite a few images that I discarded because they just didn’t fit in as well with the rest. It was all helped by the great PTE AV Studio software of course and when I first joined a camera club in 1975, an AV was the first thing I saw. Twin projectors and film back then, but I recognised the perfect way to be able to display more of the images we shoot. It’s a shame more camera club members don’t display their images in presentations via PTE. The problem of course is the effort necessary to make an AV with impact. It takes a fair bit of time and patience that many are not prepared to commit. Before you saw this, I probably saw it 50 times, or more. Thanks for the positive response. I’m getting to the age where I need all the encouragement I can get.
