AVG flags P2E files as Trojan Horse [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Andrew Williams's topic in Troubleshooting
Hello Andrew, Thanks for you report! It's a false positive. We'll inform AVG about this problem today. -
I improved anti-spam protection on the forum. And I plan to watch for this situation to add necessary corrections.
-
I apologize for this problem. Today I'm reconfiguring anti-spam protection of this forum. It should solve this problem. I will write here when I finish.
-
Thanks, Mick! We'll check it.
-
Hi Mick, Thanks for testing. Please let me know - did you unpack all ZIP archive, before run the test application? fontlog.txt file could be created in same folder with the EXE file. Can you check again, please?
-
Hello Mick, 1. Please download this special test application: http://files.wnsoft.com/test/ComboFont6.zip 2. Unzip this file, and Run ComboFont6.exe file. 3. Click Font List button to show a list of fonts. Let me know if you will see same error message. 4. When you close the test application, it should create a new file fontlog.txt please send it me. It will help me find a reason of this problem.

Hello Craig, Plus sign (+) appears on keyframes only if "Scale key frame times in objects (on time change)" option in turned OFF in Slide Options. By default, key frames in a slide has positions in percentage ("Scale key frame times in objects..." is ON) and can't be linked. Same in PTE 9 and PTE 8.

Hi Barry, Thanks for your idea and suggestion. I tend to agree with you. Please give me some time to think how to make it better.

out of memory PTE 9 'Out of memory' creating HD video
Igor replied to PhillDB's topic in Troubleshooting
Yes, I think 10 Portrait style includes 10 images on one slide, and if you use several styles, PTE should load around 30 very large images together in the system memory. So we have "out of memory" problem. Usually this problem does not occur if images are placed on separate slides, because PicturesToExe loads only 3 slides (at same time into system memory). If you create your project for 1920 x 1080 screens, I recommend to optimize your images and reduce pixe size. 2592 x 1728 would be a good solution for this project. In future, when PTE will become a 64 bit application, this problem will not occur anymore. -
Please send me this project (all files in a ZIP archive), we'll check for this problem. You can upload the ZIP file to a Dropbox, Mediafire, etc, and send me a download link (in a personal message).

out of memory PTE 9 'Out of memory' creating HD video
Igor replied to PhillDB's topic in Troubleshooting
Hi, Please check a version of PicturesToExe 9. The latest versionis 9.0.10. It fixes several known issues with video output. If you already have the latest version tell me what pixel size of images used for ‘3 portraits’ and the ’10 portraits’ slides? Width and height. -
Sorry, I still can't understand - do you mean Preview / playback of an EXE file, or playback of created MP4 video file (from your project) ? PicturesToExe 9 can create an EXE file or create a video file (MP4 / AVI). Does this problem occur if you create a MP4 video?
-
Do I understand rightly, that if you create a MP4 video from your project, the resulting MP4 video contains video clips with freezed picture?
-
Hello, Did you try to optimize video clips? When you add a new video clip to the Slide list PicturesToExe suggests to optimize it. If you use large video clips (1920 x 1080), I recommend to create a MP4 video file instead of EXE.
-
Hello, Some slide styles contain background pictures (for attractive view). When you apply such style, PicturesToExe 9 copies used images from this style to a project folder (projectname.resource). It allows you easily transfer this project to another computer, even if another installation of PicturesToExe 9 does not have this slide style. Your project does not depend on applied slide style. If you re-work your slide, delete it, or apply another slide style, PicturesToExe 9 will automatically remove projectname.resouce folder (when it's not necessary).
-
Hello, Please let me know - what version of PicturesToExe you use? Do you always see this warning when you press Preview button? Can you try the latest version 9.0.10: http://www.wnsoft.com/en/picturestoexe/download/

Mouse clicks through to underlying Mask Stencil
Igor replied to CanyonJim's topic in Troubleshooting
Hello, Yes, it's a side effect with selection of objects if Mask contains added to a slide. I tried to improve selection of objects insde Mask Stencil and Mask Content. We need to think if this algorithm can be re-worked or improved. -
Cor, Thanks for your reply!

"Straight" vs. "Curly" Quotation Marks in PTE Text
Igor replied to Craig's topic in General Discussion
Hello Craig, You can copy and paste these symbols from web browser to PTE. For example: “Curly text” / ‘Text’ -
Barry, Please try a new version- 9.0.11 Beta: http://files.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup.exe It should solve this problem.
-
Barry, Thanks! I easily reproduced this problem. We'll try to fix it soon.
-
Barry, Thanks, Please try to reproduce these 2 problems.
-
Barry, I downloaded this AV show and couldn't reproduce this problem. How much time passed between end of the AV show and the moment when you tried to delete the files? When you close PTE or EXE file, the program code performs de-initialization of 3D engine and release used memory. Usually it takes 1-3 seconds. Sometimes in some cases it may take longer time. Can you check again with this AV show and with other AV shows? Also Task Manager may show if an EXE file still works in the memory.

Jose, I'm glad that this problem is almost solved. In PTE 9 we use a newer version of video encoders than in PTE 8. Video format H.264 is a very complex and includes many parameters and optimizations. Probably the new version of a video encoder uses slightly different combination of parameters. A fact that the new drivers partially solved the problem can indicate that a hardware decoder in your video card worked incorrectly for some reason. I will watch for this situation if other users will report about same problem.

Jose, Currently I have one guess. All these video players use hardware acceleration. Probably hardware decoders (or drivers) work incorrectly for some reason. Please try to update manually drivers for your video card (NVIDIA or AMD?). It may help to solve this problem. I didn't hear about similar problem from other users yet.
