  1. I'm glad that we solved it! Enjoying using PTE AV Studio 11 Pro!
  2. Hi Jon, Sorry for this problem! I couldn't find your message. Did you contact us through this page: https://www.wnsoft.com/en/support/ ? I've found your last order and you needn't pay for the upgrade to V11, because you already the have a license key for V11. I sent you a new personal message through this forum with your license key. Download V11 and enter this key to activate PTE AV Studio. Good luck!
  3. Hi Tom, Thanks for sharing this sample file. I agree with previous comment above. This VP9 video doesn't include the Alpha channel.
  4. If you send me a sample video with H.264 YUV pixel format + alpha channel, we'll try to add support for that format.
  5. You can send me sample file(s) in VP8/VP9 format with Alpha channel for checking.
  6. John, I just sent you a message with your license key. You can also find it in our email message after the purchase.
  7. Hi, Try to reset settings of PTE AV Studio 11 on your Mac. 1. Make sure that PTE AV Studio is not launched in the Dock. 2. Download the following special uninstaller and run it. https://files.wnsoft.com/pteavstudio/RemovePTEAVStudio.app-11-0.zip 3. Tick an option 'Reset PTE AV Studio configuration'. Confirm the uninstallation. 4. Run PTE AV Studio again. Let me know about results.
  8. Media Player also cannot play it. The most likely, the support was added by installing external decoder in Windows on your PC. Decoders in PTE don't support this format at all.
  9. We cannot add support for this video format. Sorry. VLC also cannot play this video file.
  10. I'm not sure that it requires one more option. Probably it's very rare case? There is alternative solution - put a black rectangle below a video clip with Alpha channel.
  11. Jill, Glad that the first video now works fine. When you export a video with Alpha, please don't choose "Premultiplied" option. Probably it will help to reach desired visual result. I noticed that first 2 videos are in ProRes format which is heavy for realtime playback. And Alpha channel is 12-bit. It seems that this format is intended for professional use. File is also very large. Try to choose H.264 format with Alpha channel. If it will not be recognized in PTE, we'll add its support.
  12. Jill, Try a new Beta version: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe 11.0.2 Build 3 It should display correctly Alpha channel for 2 videos which you've sent me. And 3rd video (LightWisps01.mov) doesn't include Alpha channel).
  13. Hi Jill, Thanks for sending me the sample videos. Yes, I see that they're being displayed without Alpha transparency. We'll check the code.
  14. Tom, You can try a new v11.0.3 Beta on your Mac to check videos with Alpha channel (Lagarith Codec and others).
  15. PTE AV Studio 11.0.3 Beta is available: Added support for more video formats with alpha channel (transparent background). Fixed problem with centering of some windows on first run of PTE AV Studio (Mac only). Updated French and Slovenian translations. Download Windows: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe Mac: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/PTE-AV-Studio.dmg (About window shows: 11.0.2 Build 2)
  16. Hi, Did you try to recover this project from Time Machine on your Mac?
  17. Marcel, I mark this issue as resolved, according our last conversation in emails. If you'll see the same problem again, let me know.
  18. Can I mark this issue as solved, or not yet?
  19. Glad that you solved it! Indeed we didn't hear about similar problem with V11 yet. It seems that video encoders files were damaged. And reinstallation was cured the problem.
  20. Hi, Try the following: 1. Uninstall PTE AV Studio 11. 2. Restart Windows. 3. Reinstall PTE AV Studio 11 again.
  21. Hi, Barry Beckham has created a new excellent 5 Minute Video to tell about PTE AV Studio and show new features in version 11.0. Thanks, Barry! 113 10 1
  22. Tom, We added support for video files with Alpha channel in Lagarith codec only in the latest test version for Windows. See the link above. For Mac we'll include it in the nearest update 11.0.3.
  23. It should not be related with version of Windows. Check my sample project which I've attached above.
  24. I agree that the best video output is 60 fps. Because almost all computer displays, tablets and smartphones work at 60 Hz. And all flat TVs can play 60 fps videos automatically switching to 60 Hz for the best smoothness. You need not to convert original video files before adding them to a project, PTE AV Studio will do it automatically. The only exception, if a significant part of your project contains 50 fps or 25 fps videos (say half of a project duration), I would recommend to set 50 fps for video output to keep original frame rate for video content.
  25. I've checked your PNG image. PTE 11 shows correctly a transparent background on my computer with Windows 11. I attach a sample project and a screenshot below. TranspBG.zip
