Jose, Try to turn on "Minimize video card usage" option in the Preferences | System tab. It will close 3D engine in mini-player and Slide list when you go to O&A editor and thus provides more available memory. When you finish work in O&A editor the program will automatically re-activate mini-player and Slide list.

Jose, I apologize for my late response, but I couldn't reply earlier. PicturesToExe is a 32-bit software and it works under 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows. We have too much existing code to be able quickly rewrite it to native 64-bit version. However we plan 64-bit version in future. Please send me a link to ZIP archive with your project files by personal message through this forum. I'll check up what we can do to optimize this project. Thanks in advance,

Please install again PicturesToExe Deluxe 7.0 and choose another new folder. By default the program suggests unique folder for version 7. No need to overwrite version 5.6 files.

Jose, Please can you send me this project in ZIP archive? I'll check up for possible problems in PTE. Also probably I will find a way to optimize it. You can use Mediafire, Dropbox, or Google SkyDrive to upload a file. About memory usage. PicturesToExe several times loads a project: 1. One copy for Slide list. 2. Another copy for mini-player. 3. One more copy for O&A editor.

Please check up memory usage for PicturesToExe in Task Manager. It seems that the program utilizes more than 2GB memory. How many large PNG images (1920x1080) on every slide? Can you send me source files on this project?

Tom, Well, I added experimental support of 4K video (up to 4096 x 3072) in HD video output (H.264) to Release candidate version 7.5. YouTube doesn't support 4k video anymore: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4K_resolution

Tom, iPad 3 has a fault - it can't play video 2048 x 1536. I didn't test 3rd part video players and iPad 4 yet. Apple's website says: Apparently 1536p video is not supported even in iPad 4.
-
Please don't worry, we'll not remove DVD output. I didn't expect that so many people use it.
-
Hello, Please send a request here: http://www.wnsoft.com/support/ We'll recover your license key today or tomorrow.
-
Dave, Of course, we will not remove support of DVD at least 2 years.
-
Dave, I don't like interface of VideoBuilder (DVD part). And no sense to rework it because time of DVD is over. Also we have to pay royalty for each copy of PicturesToExe because we use DVD. P.S. If I recall rightly, nobody asked me about Blu-ray support in PicturesToExe already 3 years.
-
Probably you heard that Apple abandoned the DVD drive in the new series of iMac 2012. Also new MacBook Pro Retina and MacBook Air don't have DVD drive. They didn't replace it with Blu-ray drive. Apple thinks that time of optical discs is over. When we can do same for PicturesToExe? In 3-5 years? PicturesToExe 7.5 has rich video output options - HD video files, AVI, YouTube, video for tablets and smartphones. Personally I create HD video and use USB drive to play it on TV.

Please can you copy your response (probably with some corrections) to What customers say about PicturesToExe? It would be wonderful if you could add the name of your company. Also can you allow me include your response to our website to Testimonials page?

Thanks for very interesting information! We're pleased to learn about this usage of PicturesToExe.

Thanks, I reproduced this problem. Everything is exactly as you said. It happens when a time position of a slide on the timeline is equal to the duration of soundtrack (to the millisecond). Same problem with a preview from this last in fullscreen mode. As temporary solution, please move 37th slide to left or to right on the timeline at least on 1 ms. We'll try fix it in final version 7.5

Sorry, I didn't understand.

Eric, Sorry, I was wrong about size limit for uploads. It's 3.13 MB for a member now. If we allow to upload larger files it will vastly complicate creating of forum backups. The forum is already 1.5 GB. Probably we can launch a separate service for uploads?

Something not quite right in the forum software
Igor replied to Lin Evans's topic in Forum & Website
Lin, Regrettably I don't see this problem on my PCs with Google Chrome + Windows 7. Please let me know what web browser you use? Can you try another web browser to compare results? Also I'd like to hear responses from other members - do they have same problem? -
Thanks, good idea

Please choose "Pan & Scan Disable" option instead of "Pan & Scan Enabled" in the window with settings of YouTube output.

I highly recommend Canon Powershot S100 - professional compact camera.
-
Eric, The forum has a limit at 6 MB. Please upload to Dropbox, Google Drive or Mediafire.

Peter, I'll try to reply on your initial question raised in this topic. Please excuse me if I didn't understood rightly this subject. Windowed mode without borders: We set size of window exactly as user pointed. But if screen size is smaller, we have to reduce size of window proportionally to keep aspect ratio of a slide. Windowed mode with borders: For example, if you set 1280 x 720 we create a window which internal part is exactly 1280 x 720. But total size of window is larger due to borders and caption. If screen size is smaller than total size of our window, we have to reduce a size of this window proportionally to keep aspect ratio of a slide. We can not set external size of window with border. Because it's incorrect. A tickness of border and caption vary depending of version of Windows and settings of user. It will cause appearing of black strips around picture. I agree with Xaver's comment: There is an alternate option. In the Project options > Screen tab choose "Fullscreen" mode. Set checked "Fixed size of slide (in pixels)". It will give your fixed size of a slide on screen and black strips around a picture.

Thanks, Gary! I confirm this bug in both versions 7.0.7 and 7.5 Beta. I just reproduced this situation.
