Hi Jill, Thanks, I reproduced this problem. I checked the project CountDown.pte which you've sent me earlier. The problem with a transition preview occurs when 1st slide has a short duration (1 sec) and 2nd slide is 60 sec with a long transition 59 sec. We'll try to fix it quickly.

Hi Jill, We added official support of M4V videos in version 10.0.11 Build 7: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe M4V is a modification of MP4 container from Apple with a traditional H.264 video compression. Note: some M4V videos (usually purchased movies) may include DRM protection and their playback are limited by certain computer(s). PTE AV Studio will not able to play such protected videos. Home videos in M4V created by users are not protected and should not cause any problems.

I just installed a new macOS 11 Big Sur on my iMac. This new macOS was announcenced by Apple yesterday and now Beta 1 is available for developers. PTE AV Studio works fine under new macOS 11.

Yes, Apple's presentation was great. Apple has announced a move to own ARM chips in all Macs for next 2 years. macOS on ARM will provide a work of almost all old apps for Intel CPU using Rosetta 2 translator. I think that PTE AV Studio also should work. And once we get a new Mac with ARM we will prepare native code for ARM CPU in future Macs for the best performance. In theory we should only recompile PTE for ARM CPU with some corrections in the code, it should take about 2 months.

Allan, If you have a computer with Geforce graphics (Geforce 1050, 1060, 1070, 1080, 1650, 1660, 2060, 2070, 2080), you may use Geforce Experience software for screen recording. It works in realtime with encoding to 1080 60p.

Jose, Please consider another approach for your large project. Store all used files (images, video clips, audio) in the same folder, or in sub-folders which are located in one root folder. Then you can easily backup this folder in Windows Explorer.

Hi Jose, Honestly speaking, 18 GB is too much for a template I recommend to save this work as an usual project, not as a template. Glad that you chosen PTE AV Studio for video editing.

Denis, Thanks, I've reproduced this problem and confirm your findings. We'll fix it quickly.

Jill, OK. I will wait. If your project contains any video clips, or audio files in WMA, OGG, M4A, FLAC formats, or images in WEBP, TIFF formats it may add a 0.5 or 1 second delay on a start of this EXE file to unpack and initialize video/audio decoders. On fast computers with a SSD drive this delay is almost invisible. On my computer this delay is less than a half of a second. If your project uses only JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF images and MP3, WAV for audio, the show should start almost instantly (taking only time to decode first 3 slides). If you create a MP4 video (not EXE show) all said above has no matter.

Jill, Do you mean a short flash of black (less than a second) before the first slide appears on the screen? If yes, it always worked this way many versions of PTE. When you run an EXE show, PTE loads 3 slides before show 1st slide on the screen. PTE should display something on the screen, this is why you see the black color. If you add only small JPEGs (say 1024 x 768), the first slide appears almost instantly.

Clone Transition command doesn't work if you just created or imported a new transition and did NOT click the OK button to close the Slide Options or the Project Options before use the Clone... command. A recently added transition was not completely introduced in the storage (because the Cancel button can revert adding/importing of a transition). We'll think if it can be improved.
