  1. I just checked for specification of TIFF format and feeled a fear about support of this monstrous format: Not sure that it's a good idea to support this format and it will never be supported fully and correctly. 1. Mode: Single image, multiple pages, layers. 2. Color: RGB CMYK YCbCr CIE Lab Indexed Grayscale 3. Compression: PackBits (RLE) Lempel-Ziv-Welch (LZW) LZ77 ZIP JBIG JPEG CCITT Group 3, CCITT Group 4
  2. Thanks, Jill. Additionally, Blur effect, color filters and Motion blur effect for video output available in the Pro version only. Some slide styles in Standard version include Blur effect, but you can't change it.
  3. Alan, On your screenshot above I see that you added to shows for your DVD: .pte project and MP4 video. Please add only PTE projects, not video files for DVD project. Or wrap your MP4 video into PTE project and then add for a DVD.
  4. Hi, Glad that you resolved this problem. If it happens again, let me know.
  5. Pascal, Thanks, I see the problem. But I'm not sure that we can easily support this format. It's WMA9 Lossless compression. File size is almost same for uncompressed WAV audio. MPC-HC player couldn't play this audio. Audacity refuses to open this file. PTE 9 freezes when I tried to play it.
  6. I received several requests from former Proshow users during past month to add TIFF support. Probably we'll do it. Currently I recommend to use PNG format if you need lossless quality, or JPEG as adviced above. Thanks,
  7. Pacal, Send me a coupe of WMA audio files which don't play. I have no problem with my WMA files. P.S. The best audio formats for PTE are MP3 or WAV.
  8. Alan, Does this problem occur when you burn 1st DVD with several shows? And you didn't click Back button to modifiy the project or burn another copy?
  9. Barry, Try a new test version: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe
  10. Jill, Sorry for the late response. Do you mean PTE AV Studio or PTE 9? This problem might occur in old PTE versions if a project was received from a template or backup in a ZIP. In version 10.0 this problem should not occur. I couldn't reproduce this problem.
  11. Alan, We fixed this problem. Please try the updated version: 1. Run PTE AV Studio. 2. In the main menu > Help menu. Choose Uninstall VideoBuilder (DVD). 3. In the main menu > Publish. Click "DVD-Video disc". Install the updated VideoBuilder.
  12. Jill, Ok, I understand. Try the following solution: 1. Use "Run Application..." command. Click to choose a file. In this window change a filter for accepted files from "Video Files" to "All Files". Now you can see and choose all files, including video files. 2. Configure your video player (VLC or MPC-HC) to run video files on fullscreen by default. Now when you call a video clip, PTE menu show will call a video player on fullscreen. When the video player finishes you can close it and PTE menu show will continue work. Does it work good for you? I just check with MPC-HC player and it worked fine. If you use FFplayer.exe from FFmpeg, the player will automatically exit after playback and return to PTE menu show. I can tell more about use of FFplayer.
  13. Hi Rosemary, Do you mean thumbnail images of video clips in the File panel of the main window in PTE AV Studio? If I remember rightly, PTE displays a video frame from 0:03s time position, because the first frame usually contains a back picture.
  14. Hi Alan, I confirm this problem. Please wait a couple of days we'll fix it quickly.
  15. Barry, Thanks, I see this problem. The video uses a tricky frame rate mode. I'll try to fix it.
  16. Jill, Just a quick idea: wrap a video file into a EXE show and call it using Run Slideshow with Return. A simple project with 1 slide only - this video clip and Cut transition. It will take 1 minute to prepare this project. Menu show and video shows will use same PTE version, so Run Slideshow command will work. PTE 10 plays good video clips, especially on a modern computers.
  17. Bernard, I'm glad! This problem was caused by a space symbol in your user name in Windows. I corrected the code of the VideoBuilder. We'll include this fix for nearest official update 10.0.7.
  18. Thanks! Please try a new test version: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe No messages. I hope that it will work now.
  19. Please download and install a special version: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe About window will show "VBTest1" text label. Now try to run DVD output. You'll see one or two text messages. Please make a screenshot and send me images with text.
  20. Bernard, Can I send you a special test version?
  21. Malcolm, I'm glad that "Alternate renderer..." option helped you. This option works only for the main interface of PTE AV Studio. We'll try to find a similar laptop to see what happens there. Try to visit Lenovo website and check for available graphics drivers for your laptop. Probably PNG images were too large, current limitation for attachments is 2 MB. I increased it up to 3 MB. Usually that's enough for screenshots.
  22. Malcolm, Thanks for the details. You have a good modern laptop. What happens if you resize a main window of PTE AV Studio with mouse cursor (I mean adjusting width or height of the window) ? Then please try to enable this option and let me know about a result: In the main menu > Settings > Prefereces. Choose System tab. Tick the option "Alternate renderer...". Click OK button and restart the program.
  23. Bernard, Do you see a command "Uninstall VideoBuilder" in the main menu > Help ? If yes, call this command. Then in the main menu > Publish > click "DVD-Video disc". Confirm the installation. After the installation, click the button "Start VideoBuilder" in same window. Do you see VideoBuilder? If no, try to click DVD-Video disc in the Publish button (at right-top corner of the main window).
  24. Try to create a video smaller than 2 GB. Check the Sample Project. I justed created two videos from Sample Project using HD & 4K option and Mobile option. 52 and 78 MB Both files played fine on Huawei Mate 9 (2016) with Android 9 in VLC player.
  25. Bernard, Please try the following: 1. Uninstall PTE AV Studio. Don't worry, it will keep all your projects, styles, transitions or templates, 2. Install the latest version 10.0.6 from WnSoft website. 3. In the main menu > Publish > click DVD-Video disc option. Confirm installation of VideoBuilder. 4. Now try to run again VideoBuilder. Note, that you need to open any project with added slides to run VideoBuilder.
