Hi Rosemary, Do you mean thumbnail images of video clips in the File panel of the main window in PTE AV Studio? If I remember rightly, PTE displays a video frame from 0:03s time position, because the first frame usually contains a back picture.

Jill, Just a quick idea: wrap a video file into a EXE show and call it using Run Slideshow with Return. A simple project with 1 slide only - this video clip and Cut transition. It will take 1 minute to prepare this project. Menu show and video shows will use same PTE version, so Run Slideshow command will work. PTE 10 plays good video clips, especially on a modern computers.

Bernard, I'm glad! This problem was caused by a space symbol in your user name in Windows. I corrected the code of the VideoBuilder. We'll include this fix for nearest official update 10.0.7.

Malcolm, I'm glad that "Alternate renderer..." option helped you. This option works only for the main interface of PTE AV Studio. We'll try to find a similar laptop to see what happens there. Try to visit Lenovo website and check for available graphics drivers for your laptop. Probably PNG images were too large, current limitation for attachments is 2 MB. I increased it up to 3 MB. Usually that's enough for screenshots.

Malcolm, Thanks for the details. You have a good modern laptop. What happens if you resize a main window of PTE AV Studio with mouse cursor (I mean adjusting width or height of the window) ? Then please try to enable this option and let me know about a result: In the main menu > Settings > Prefereces. Choose System tab. Tick the option "Alternate renderer...". Click OK button and restart the program.

Bernard, Do you see a command "Uninstall VideoBuilder" in the main menu > Help ? If yes, call this command. Then in the main menu > Publish > click "DVD-Video disc". Confirm the installation. After the installation, click the button "Start VideoBuilder" in same window. Do you see VideoBuilder? If no, try to click DVD-Video disc in the Publish button (at right-top corner of the main window).

Try to create a video smaller than 2 GB. Check the Sample Project. I justed created two videos from Sample Project using HD & 4K option and Mobile option. 52 and 78 MB Both files played fine on Huawei Mate 9 (2016) with Android 9 in VLC player.

Bernard, Please try the following: 1. Uninstall PTE AV Studio. Don't worry, it will keep all your projects, styles, transitions or templates, 2. Install the latest version 10.0.6 from WnSoft website. 3. In the main menu > Publish > click DVD-Video disc option. Confirm installation of VideoBuilder. 4. Now try to run again VideoBuilder. Note, that you need to open any project with added slides to run VideoBuilder.

Check for available updated drivers in the Windows Update panel. PTE AV Studio uses GPU acceleration for the user interface and it necessary to have a stable work of graphics drivers. PTE AV Studio is a new product, we offer upgrades with discount for customers who purchased PicturesToExe 8.0 or 9.0 on September 2013 or later. Our prices are much lower than any our competitors. A new competitor introduced prices by a subscription, it means that you'll pay in 10-20 times more than for PTE when you use the program many years. Another old competitor, Photodex (Proshow) is shutting down today due to problems with sales.

Dave, I know that some email servers don't receive our emails from some reason. I plan to reconfigure the server within next 2 weeks. And perform all recommendations to improve email delivery. It may help for your case. Just wait a little.

Dave, Glad that "HD & 4K" option worked fine. Try with Mobile option for a shorter project (within 200 MB for a resulting file), maybe 1-2 minutes. I'll perform more tests with two Android smartphones tomorrow morning.

Dave, What file size of created MP4 videos? Can you send me your project? All files in a ZIP archive. See the main menu > File > Create backup in a ZIP. You can upload to https://send.firefox.com/ or WeTransfer.com service and send me a download link in a personal message. I just tested a short 26 seconds project. And with all parameters video files can be played in Windows 10 Movies & TV app. And also in VLC player in Android 10 (Nokia 7 Plus). Can you also create a short test project (30-40 seconds) and check on your Android smartphone?

I think that a main purpose of the Sample Project is to show what users can do in PTE and show various examples of animations and effects. If we implement a tutorial, how it will look - video clips in this Sample project? The problem in a file size of these video clips. Because the Sample project is shipped with PTE. Let me know about your suggestions.
