  1. Gary, When you installed V8 did you leave the association boxes ticked during the installation? Try re-installing and make sure that they are unticked. You cannot have both versions as the default - it must be one or the other. Nothing to do with Windows.
  2. During beta testing I untick the association boxes for the beta version so that the current full version remains the default. At present V7.5 is the default double click prog and for V8 I open the prog first. DG
  3. Clear, concise instructions!! Thanks Igor, DG
  4. I just updated to iOS 7 on my iPAD 4 and made a short Movie. When dragged into the Slide Line (V8) it offered me the Optimisation which I accepted. It runs fine. DG
  5. iOS 7 is the new update for the iPAD? Maybe something has changed? DG
  6. Go into "Customize Transitions" and Load the Custom Transition (ptef) file. DG
  7. If you are using just one camera then the file name will give you the order that you require? it is the same as "chronological". however if you are renaming your files or doing something that you have not told us then you might let us know? DG
  8. You could overlay one image on top of another in Objects and Animation? Then reduce you opacity of the top "layer" to move the top image around. When you are happy with that you can revert to 100% opacity and copy and paste the top image to the next slide (or whatever). You will usually need "oversized" images to do this i.e. bigger than project resolution. DG
  9. Do not forget that in order to zoom into an image it should be proportionally larger than 1920 wide? DG
  10. Peter, It would be interesting to see a list of any TVs will not support an MP4 made using Igor's standard preset? I haven't had a problem in two or three years with mostly Sony, Samsung and Panasonic TVs of varying ages. DG
  11. 2) Image resolution. If you refer to DPI / PPI etc... Forget about it - it is NOT relevant. Just make the images 1920x1080. DG
  12. 1) What image dimensions should ideally be used for creating slideshows intended to be output to DVD video and watched on large screen televisions? I won't be using PTE to make executables, just for DVDs to be shared with friends on home TVs; Use 1920x1080. When you make the DVD it will be resized to 768x576 anyway. If your large Flat Screen TV has a USB input and a Media Player investigate making MPEG4 files instead of DVDs - The quality will astound you. Re the friends TVs - if they don't have USB and Media Player built in you are stuck with DVDs but whenever possible use MPEG4. DG P.S. UNTICK "Fixed Size of Slide" in Project Options / Screen before starting the DVD proces.
  13. Follow the Beta changes. DG
  14. The recently released VNX2 2.8.0 has some changes to the Movie Editor which might interest owners of Nikon cameras with Movie Facilities. Download from here: https://nikoneurope-en.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/58012 (Europe). DG
  15. Thanks Lin, Frans, Keiron. DG
  16. Please try the following: This is an EXE file showing the "build-up" of a "Canvas Mounted" image: This is a Template (in the form of a Style) which can be used to create the "Canvas Mounted" Image - Add a 1920x1080 image to the slide list and apply the Style: Dave's Canvas.ptestyle DG
  17. Settings / Table View...............?? Ctrl + 2 DG
  18. It comes under Video for Mobile Devices? DG
  19. There will be, soon. Keep in touch over the next couple of weeks? http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?/forum/57-future-picturestoexe-80/ DG
  20. OK Roger, I don't want to bring up what has obviously been said before. DG
  21. I hope that I haven't offended by just asking? I'm confused by the "tone" of your response. Best wishes, DG
  22. Roger, Have you posted any of these as EXE files? DG
  23. Time stretch and Pitch Change are both available in the same module in Soundbooth. DG
  24. Hi Peter, But didn't my OP specifically refer to fitting music to slides and not the other way around? "If the music was driving the pace and mood of the sequence" - That's a different scenario altogether. Never mind, DG
  25. Hi Peter, So would you use it if it were available in PTE's new Audio Editor? DG
